canobie#1
Wow, Farenheight has really lost some color! It's too bad that the only big ride that is open for the winter is the claw. At least it's an amazing one.
rollin_n_coastin
Ok this is definitely becoming a must ride in 2012 . It's looking great! Maybe running between this and Stormrunner will make for a great day?
coastercrzyjames
I'm loving the way this ride is looking already, can't wait to see more of it come together. *Sighs* looks like I'll need to make another trip to Hershey soon.
Velcro
Nice photos! I haven't been to Hersheypark in years, and this new coaster makes me want to plan a trip out to Pennsylvania just to check it out.
B&MIntaminGCI
Holy crap, the stengel dive totally made this my new 2012 favorite. Sorry Leviathan...
adavis
Adavis, the front row has already been assigned by Hershey for the Jr Researchers. Odd, my employers at RIT have yet to notify me of seating options.

odene497
I didn't realize this has a Stengal Dive. Interest points added.
BaMiTsPaT
There is something to be said about how awesome Intamin curves look. This ride just shot up my list, though I am still not too crazy about the train design.
Thom25
I completely understand how the train design is a bit confusing, but given this will be the world's first coaster with edge (wing rider) seating with only a lap bar, I'm pretty excited. I personally think the edge seats will be vastly more popular or in demand than the floored seating, and see the logic on how this design could eliminate the vibration issue while also catering to the those not wanting the full "thrill." Karezza
Skyrush has restored confidence in my opinion that roller coasters are indeed the sexiest artifacts humans have ever designed!
A.J.
I'll gladly take the floor seats. I always take whichever seat is closest to the centerline of the track. I'm floored. I had assumed after the second hill and turn that the train was going to meander through the wavy section before turning again. That's a really neat looking dive right there. Guy T. Koepp
^^I'll be saying the same thing after the Zombie Apocalypse. I just hope this thing is finished before it comes.
Erik Johnson
Looking good! I may have to try to make it back to Hershey next year.
DougMJr
Cannot wait 'til I ride this thing. That Stengal dive looks awesome on its own, add "wing" seats and you have a peanutbutter and epic sandwich!
UnderCoverDrummer1
I find it hilarious that back before vertical construction began, I said that this coaster was going to end up being a lot more intense than everyone thought. Only now that the track is going up, helping to put the pictures into perspective is is clear just how tight the layout is going to be. So to all those people who were doubting and knocking this ride based purely on the NL rendering..... I TOLD YOU SO!
_koppen
So I guess this is now a Stengel dive as well?
UnderCoverDrummer1
So I guess this is now a Stengel dive as well? No it's not, that is an over-banked turn. The reason people are calling the element on SkyRush a Stengel dive is because it's going to immediately straighten out after the over-banked portion currently shown. The turn is ending right after the track currently installed. Otherwise it would just be an over-banked turn.
_koppen
Ah I see, then this must clearly be a Stengel dive
coasterfreak101
I didn't realize this has a Stengal Dive. Interest points added. Because it isn't a Stengel dive, it's an overbank. A Stengel dive travels straight in to the element, banks at the top, and exits straight again. Maverick has two of them, though I really only think of the second one as a true Stengel dive. This or this is a Stengel dive.
odene497
^Yes, I've been on them both, and consider them both Stengal dives. This, I also consider to be one. But either way, I didn't know it, "went up and curved past 90 degrees," interest points added.
FaithnotForgotten
Wow, Farenheight has really lost some color! Positive thing is it gained a "G" and the "H" went wandering!
_koppen
As said before, a Stengel dive is an overbank located on top of an airtime hill, Skyrush does not have that. People should stop calling it a Stengel dive, and just say overbank.
