Big Mike
Hi Friends!!  The weekend is here!!  The weather is not quite up to par though  Despite it being season passholders night at Great Adventure tonight, I think I am going to pass on the ride down there.  There are a lot of options for NYC too, but alas, I think this weekend The Big Mike Road Show crew will tend to something more important:   Getting The Big Mike Hotel ready for even more VIP TPR guests!!!   The demand to stay at The Big Mike Hotel has been high, and now that we are starting to get into prime high time season, a weekend to update and refirbish is in order!   The reservation department at The Big Mike Hotel already has two confirmed guest visits already!!!  Rick (Coaster Palooza)  Joey (Jew)   In other news from Big Mike World Headquarters, It's May 1st, which means the mailroom at Big Mike Productions sneds out its bulk mail!!  Today, out for delivery went:  Robb and Elissa - Complete full payment for the Scandi Trip including every extra add on and expense. Every aspect of the trip is now paid in full.  Rick - The Big Mike Road Show 2008 Official T-Shirt that you won in the photo contest trivia game, plus maybe a few goodies for letting me stay at the Coaster Palooza Hotel!  Colin - The maximum check amount for being declared Big Mike Road Show 2008 Reader of the Year!  Henriette - The goody box promised to you filled with special treats and fun stuff for those long Army nights!  Chris - A replacement Big Mike Road Show Mikestery Treasure Hunt Card for your hard work in trying to locate it at Legoland! We need a picture of you with it now.    Also being worked on this weekend will be a week long VEGAS trip report, covering every coaster in Las Vegas and Big Mike's fun time there, plus I will try my best to try and put up the exact schedule for OH, IN, IL, and KY which is 3 weeks from today!!!!!   Don't get me wrong, if any TPR hot babes want to hang out, you would over rule these plans! (it is Bank of America FREE museums and Zoo weekend after all)   From the hot tub at The Big Mike Hotel,  Peace, Big Mike

TheRapidsNerd
Big Mike, VERY cool to see the sandwich name after you at Yankee Stadium. I'm not much for sports, but that place looked great! Thanks for the perspective on it.
traincrossin
Yankee Stadium did look great. Why did they build a new one though? Was the old stadium getting to, I don't know, old?
Josh Linn
Yankee Stadium did look great. Why did they build a new one though? Was the old stadium getting to, I don't know, old? Â That's not the issue. The Red Sox (Fenway) and Cubs (Wrigley) play in older stadiums. The Yankees wanted more luxury boxes to maximize revenue, and the only way to do so was to build a brand spanking new stadium. Â I still prefer Camden Yards, but I'm biased.
kumba830
Did you say your going to Illinois soon! Â I would love to possibly meet up for a ride or two at SFGAm! Big Mike
Hello Fantastic Friends!!!!  What a day for The Mighty Big Man!!!!!   So the forcast is for rain all weekend long, and The Big Mike Road Show 2009 decides to take a week off from touring.  Big Mike spends Friday sprucing up The Big Mike Hotel for future guests and wakes up on Saturday to sunshine!  Great job on the forcast again!  Big Mike contemplates on what to do while relaxing at Big Mike World Headquarters.  This is Bank of America free Museums on us weekend, but I pass on it.  There is always NYC to see another Broadway show, but I pass on that too.  A late run to an amusement park?? Pass again.  There are no hot babes to go out with this weekend either.  An idea pops into my head! Lets go over to the Meadowlands Sports Complex and go to the huge flea market, have not done that in a long time!  Also I can see the construction on the new Giants Stadium and the new mega shopping mall, plus I can head over to the horse track and bet on the Kentucky Derby!  The plan sounded entertaining and I could get quite a few things done at the same time.  As soon as I pull into the Complex I can tell something is not right, the place is jam packed.  I see a sign that the Flea Market is closed today because of The Bamboozle Festival???  I debate on turning around and going home, but I head in anyway figuring I can get some pictures for my Valuable Big Mike Readers and show them this massive Sports Complex we have here in the Great State of New Jersey!  I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GLAD I DID!!!   The following pictures will show you everything in the complex but the best part of the day was right at the end when I strolled over to make a bet on The Kentucky Derby!   I have not been to the horse track in at least 10 years, and I wondered if I still had the magic touch to pick winners at will?  A quick TRUE story from long ago first!! My parents took me to Finger Lakes Race Track one day while on vacation in upstate NY when I was a kid for a "lesson on gambling". The lesson backfired when I won 8 of the 9 races and had people asking ME for winners as my sock was getting filled up with winning tickets.  The gift started at an early age and I was curious if I still had it.  Using my patented system that never fails me, I research the 19 horse field to find my favorite horse.  After intense studying, my system comes up with the #16 horse, "Pioneerof The Nile"!  Usually when I used to go to the track, and not being a big betting guy, I would bet $2 to show on every race except the last and then make the big bet.  This time I was only interested in the Derby, so I skipped right to the big bet which is always an exacta wheel bet!  An exacta wheel is taking my favorite horse, the #16 and betting an exacta with him winning and every other horse to come in 2nd, and also flipping it and having every other horse to win and my #16 to come in 2nd.  This way if my #16 comes in first or second, I am a winner!! If he comes in 3rd through 19th, I lose every bet, which in actuality in 36 bets.  My #16 was 6 to 1 in odds as I never take the favorite, as there is no money to win usually.  The IDEAL PERFECT SITUATION is to have a BIG longshot win the race and my horse to come in 2nd,  AND  THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The 2nd longest shot in the 135 year history of The Kentucky Derby, and BIG MIKE NAILED IT!!!  I only played a $1 exacta wheel costing $36, if I would have played a $2 exacta, I would have won double, but I am OK with half of it as that is the system!   Here are the results of the Kentucky Derby so you don't have to go looking for it:    # Horse Win Place Show  8 Mine That Bird 103.20 54.00 25.80 16 Pioneerof The Nile 8.40 6.40 2 Musket Man 12.00  Finish Time: 2:02.66  Scratched: I Want Revenge  $2 Exacta (8-16) Paid $2,074.80 $2 Trifecta (8-16-2) Paid $41,500.60 $2 Superfecta (8-16-2-7) Paid $557,006.40   So I bet $36, and won half of the exacta!!!  Won - $1,037.40 Spent - $36 bet Spent - $1 admission  PROFIT $1000.40!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Life is good  Plus, If I knew that the flea market was closed, I would never have gone  I hope everyone jumped on board with me when I posted my pick on Facebook well before the race!!!   I hope you enjoy the trip report!   Peace, Big Mike The results:  #16 Pioneerof The Nile!!!  Both tickets, one with #16 to win with all, and the second ticket on the right with all to win with the #16 (the ticket on the right is now worth $1000!)  Hope you enjoyed!  Peace, Big Mike After narrowing down the good horses and deleting the bad horses, it is time for Big Mike to get into the zone and do some intense evaluations, which can only be done in the peace and quiet of the VIP room! Outside I go to narrow down the horses using The Big Mike Stratigic System. I will keep this in mind for a free Friday with nothing to do, Big Mike's easy way to the final table. ... but in this "Big Mike Back Then" segment, been there and done that with my beautiful ex wife. Today is Kentucky Derby Day!! I know it is not as exciting as actually being at Churchill Downs.... The horse track and The Kentucky Derby won out over the unfamiliar bands. I listen to a few bands and mingle with a few interested hotties but find out that the good bands like Fall Out Boy, 3rd Eye Blind, and New Found Glory don't come on to much later and No Doubt, Sum 41, and Taking Back Sunday don't play until tomorrow. The place was packed with no where to sit except the parking lot, a big difference from the VIP suites. A good thing about NJ concerts is Big Mike can easily pull back stage passes. Big main stages for the bigger bands and smaller ones like this for the unknown bands. There are different stages set up all over the place in the parking lot. I decide to check it out and see if any good bands are playing and if there are any hot babes. The Bamboozle Festival, a 2 day event. 100 bands. There is a huge parking area in the complex, which is also where the NJ Fair takes place in June and July, but today it is the sight of a big music festival. The Izod Arena is still here even though the Devils moved out, I think the nets still play there though. Also being built at the same time is this huge mall and entertainment venue named Xanadu, which includes an indoor ski slope as seen here. This is how close they are being built next to each other, with the old on the left and the new on the right. You can barely make out the field inside. There is still a lot of work to be done. Here is the new Giants Stadium being built right next door. The Meadowlands Sports Complex has many venues, such as the old Giants Stadium. Big Mike
Hello Fantastic Friends!!!   The Big Mike Road Show 2009 continues with a fun filled stop in Las Vegas!!!   Las Vegas is filled with everything you need to have fun:  Food  Gambling  Sunny days  Shows  Roller Coasters  and  Lots of Hot Babes!!!   Big Mike did soooooooooooooooo many different things, the producers at Big Mike Productions have decided to treat the Valuable Big Mike Readers to a Las Vegasathon!!!   This report that you are reading right now is The Las Vegas Pre Show.  This will be followed daily by stops at:  Peter Piper Pizza Las Vegas Mini Grand Prix Adventuredome Nascar Cafe New York New York and The Stratosphere!  By the time you are done reading, you will have seen EVERY coaster in Las Vegas!!!!  We will then wrap up the California Trip with a Las Vegas Post Show!   Lots of excitement coming your way, exactly the way you guys want to see it, BIG MIKE STYLE!!!   Big Mike Style has been a HUGE hit with his fellow Theme Park Reviewers, and in dedication to a little special occasion we posted a year ago yesterday....  The Big Mike Bikini Bonanza 2008  ... We here at Big Mike Productions would like to treat the Valuable Big Mike Readers to a little more adult version trip report like the good old days before we got bikini banned! lol   So this is your warning!!!  The following trip report has been produced in Sin City, Las Vegas Nevada!  Big Mike tried his hardest to keep any scantily clad women from appearing in this trip report!  Just in case an occasional half naked women slipped by post production, we have slapped this Pre Show with an ADULTS ONLY rating!   If you are offended by pictures like this:   You should turn back now, it will only get worse from here!!!   A special thanks goes out to Shawn (packfanlv) for hanging out all day with me and for being such an awesome guy!  EDITORS NOTE - Jazmine, Shawn was not around for all the half naked shenanigans   On to the report, and remember, what happens in Vegas....  ... shows up on The Big Mike Road Show 2009!!!   Peace, Big Mike We now conclude the Las Vegas Pre Show and hope everyone looks forward to seeing all the following reports this week on Big Mike's Las Vegasathon!!  Don't forget again, what happens in Vegas on The Big Mike Road Show stays in The Big Mike Road Show!  Hope you enjoyed!  Peace, Big Mike I was going to save this for the end, but it fits too good right here!  Shawn (Packfanlv) checks off Nevada on The Official Big Mike Road Show 2009 T-Shirt!!  Thanks Shawn for a great day of coastering! Clue #4  Since Vegas has soooo many places with coasters in the same town, there will only be one Mikestery card hidden, and here it is!!!  You guys thought you felt weird bending down under a stroller and a bench, this one you have to bend over and look under the garbage can! Bahahaha  GO FIND IT!!! Clue #3 Clue #2 Thats not the reason! lol  It is time once again to play The Mikestery Treasure Hunt Game!!!  Clue #1 Is it because Big Mike found it so easy to pick up a hot babe the first time when he was there? So before we wrap up this Las Vegas Pre Show, Big Mike heads back to the Las Vegas sign!  Why? Big Mike bets $20 on Tony Stewart to be the Nascar Champion this year at 20 to 1 odds! This will be an easy $400 winner Before ending the night and heading back up to the hotel room with a hottie, Big Mike was reminded that he rules and is on one heck of a lucky streak, so it is time to make one bet and cash in once again! As luck would have it, I walk outside after that and there is that fancy car again! I try to take another picture of it and my attempt is foiled again. Knowing that Big Mike was in attendance and disappointed with not seeing the sexy girls, they offered Big Mike a private meet and greet. Unfortunately, the show was cancelled due to high winds so I took a picture of the front of the pirate ship. I wanted to see this new pirate battle show because I heard it got a lot sexier. Off to the Treasure Island, the hotel I have stayed at my last 3 visits before this one! I saw this really awesome car driving on the strip that I wanted to take a picture of, but just when I snapped it, this darn advertising truck drove by. I know we have some motorcycle fans as Valuable Readers! Seigfried and Roy. Here are some other things to see on the strip, like the Eiffel Tower!  I still can't believe I climbed the real one all the way to the top last year! Mmmmmmmmmmm. Ohhhhh. Ahhhh. Another free show on the strip for your viewing pleasure. Back to more sight seeing with the Fountains at the Bellagio! Just speaking of Kick-off prizes, here is Shawn (Packfanlv) with the UPS Hoodie he won at The Big Mike Road Show 2009 Kick-off party!  More pics and fun with Shawn in the upcoming episodes! Well, except for Big Mike! I figure this would be a good prize for the Big Mike Kick-off Contest in 2010!  It took forever to find some non naked ones!  The rest of that stack is pure nakedness. Seems like a lot of people did not want to keep their free hand outs of naked women. Just in case someone did not have the great looks and majestic frame like Big Mike along with the charisma to charm the ladies... they could run the gauntlet of Porn Peddlers and find a ladie of the evening. Just minding my own business walking down the strip, hot babes were all over The Big Man! Big Mike was like a kid in the candy store. You don't have to be in a short skirt to look sexy either to Big Mike. Did I mention all the short skirts and hot babes that walk the strip? Finale. More fire. Fully erupting now. Every TPR report needs FIRE I have been told.  Fire = Yes Bikinis = No  Odd. The volcano is starting to bubble. Show Times! Lets start with the free volcano show at The Mirage! Hmmm, what to start with?  Hot Babes or Vegas scenery? Its time to head out to the Strip and show all The Valuable Big Mike Readers what there is to do other than riding coasters! Trying to please ALL my Valuable Big Mike Readers, this show was playing at my hotel also. I tried not to look when I passed each time. Every time I had to leave or return to my room, I was subject to this filth!!! Plus my condo did not have this entertainment right outside my door! Big Mike did not want to waste a vacation week at the condo when prices at the Excaliber were too good to pass up! Sun Deck.  Again, no bikinis!  Big Mike following the rules!  How many of you fell for the adults only line??? Bar. Pool!  I asked everyone wearing a bikini to exit the pool so I could take the picture without any repercutions. Just a few quick pictures just in case The Big Mike Road Show 2009 Most Valuable Reader of the Year wants to use the Grand Prize here! A little blurry, but you can make out the "VIP" ID card! Very close to the strip with the MGM off in the distance. Before we get into all the fun, Big Mike wants to go check out the brand new condos that were just built that Big Mike belongs to. It must be the Big Mike Charm or the Las Vegas Mystique, because Big Mike is scoring with the ladies as soon as he rolls into town! Big Mike is excited to make his return visit to Las Vegas after almost a 10 year hiatus! The last time Big Mike was in Vegas, he wound up getting married... in a hot air balloon! The Big Mike Road Show 2009 arrives in Las Vegas, Nevada!
the ghost
Vegas is awesome, and will be much more awesome when I am 21. Â One of my favorite installments so far, also, the shot of the car= epic fail in the greates possible way.

rawrtotheargh
I think that the fountains at the Belagio will now forever remind me of Manta. Â Can't wait for the rest of the Las Vegas photos! I am sure it will be amazing.
