Calicoasters
^You should have seen all the families staring at me @ 9 in the morning while I'm on my hangs and knees investigating the stroller and area around it at Legoland for 20 minutes. rawrtotheargh
You should have said that you were looking for your stash. Yeah everyone was staring at me because I had to get down on my knees and look under the bleachers. Its a lot smaller than I thought it would be. In the photo it looks huge. Big Mike
Hello Fantastic Friends!!!!   The next stop on The Big Mike Road Show 2009 was Belmont Park in San Diego California!!!   Big Mike already had the credit but had to fulfill his duty to bring The Valuable Big Mike Readers a perspective of this park and to also help out the TPR Park Index!   GPS Information:  Belmont Park 3146 Mission Blvd. San Diego California 92109  858-488-1549  http://www.giantdipper.com  The park has one coaster and adults are alllowed to ride.  You MAY bring your camera on this coaster!   Hope you enjoy!   Peace, Big Mike Clue #3! THERE IT IS!!! GO FIND IT!!!  Hope you enjoyed!   Peace, Big Mike Clue #2! Sure I have been told that the Park Index wants signs without Big Mike's head in it, so here it is! But, this is also Clue #1 as to where the next Mikestery Treasure Hunt Game Card is located! If you find this sign, you are in the general vacinity! When the sun goes down, the coaster gets lit up. That means that you can catch the sunset The nice part about this park is that it is right on the beach! They also had a few other activities that cost extra: Unfortunately, Big Mike's desire to help out Theme Park Review's Park Index with the most in depth reports available had to come first today. Here are the other rides at the park: While this was a fun coaster to ride, it would have been more fun riding with Zak and Cody and friends! A couple different angles of the track. The drop. The lift during the day. The lift. There is some tunnel action right from the start. Big Mike is finally ready to ride. Here is the coaster train of today. This was the original coaster car. Since I could not take an overview picture of the coaster, here is what it looks like. Here are some Giant Dipper Facts for the Valuable Big Mike Readers. The Giant Dipper is a National Historic Landmark! The Giant Dipper! I call this picture "Zak in the back". These guys were smart and arrived early and got an unlimited wristband, not like Big Mike. I was late and missed out on my good friend Cody Zak will always be on Big Mike's Cool List since Zak was one of the handful of people to send Big Mike a holiday Card!! Theme Park Review member Zak (Zakkster) on the left showed up to say hello to Big Mike with some friends that I need help with thier names! The height chart. The prices. Belmont Park! rawrtotheargh
haha I know exactly where that is. Just hope that a random person doesn't take it. A lot of people walk along that street. But I don't really know if anyone uses a pay phone anymore. Go get her calicoasters. haha
ebl
It's been ages since I rode the Giant Dipper in San Diego. My last ride was pretty rough, though. How's it riding these days? Â I think a nice set of Millennium Flyers would be a tremendous improvement on that ride---not to mention being close to the original Prior and Church single bench cars! Crazy4Coasters!
^ I rode it in January and I pretty much enjoyed my rides on it. Never really had any problems with this coaster, I classify it as a "oldies but goodies" coaster in my books. Â *** By the way I think "calicoaster" is parking his car right about now heading towards that phone booth***
rawrtotheargh
^ haha. I considered going to go get it right now. But i'll let him get it. Yeah i rode it like a couple months ago and it was like its always been. The thing is super old. No one expects it to be smooth. haha But I would say its not any worse than like Colossus. Crazy4Coasters!
^ Considering that you ALREADY have one, I think it would be wise to leave it up for the next lucky kid... Unless you want to monopolize the whole "BMRS tag hunt" game, then I completely understand   *** By the way notice "calicoaster" is no longer logged into the site as we speak, or should I say write...***
rawrtotheargh
haha I don't have the money to fly every where to collect all of the tags. so no monopolizing for me. But trust me I THOUGHT about it. I know that Calicoasters wants one though so I figured i'd let him go for it. That is if some random person hasn't taken it yet. Its been there for like 3 weeks probably. Crazy4Coasters!
^ Yea I know buddy I'm just pulling your leg. By the way I'm still willing to put another $5 bucks saying that by the end the night we'll see "calicoaster" post his picture of him with the BMRS tag... What a TROOPER!!! rawrtotheargh
^ haha i'd bet you if I had money. I just spent it all today buying clothes. But I'm sure he is down there right now. His computer is probably still on the photo of the phone booth. He just up and left.
Calicoasters
^Common, it's $5 bucks! Go ahead and bet him Think of it as a footlong sandwich at Subway.  @ EBL - Giant Dipper is no longer rough. The same magical dust that blew through California and made Colossus no longer rough also hit the Giant Dipper. Unfortunately it totally missed GhostRider  Once again Big Mike I'm sorry I couldn't wait just a couple more minutes! I would have rode the Giant Dipper with you the entire time you were there... Stupid Birthday Party! Chuck E Cheese has a two beer maximum too, how am I susposed to enjoy it 6 year olds B-day with only 2 beers!?  I love those hovercraft looking bumper cars, you can actually catch air upon collision! ebl
Glad to hear the Dipper is fairly smooth. Colossus has been getting some retracking, so I knew it would improve a bit. I have a friend in San Diego who wants me to visit, so during that trip, I'll sneak over to Mission Beach and take a ride. Â Eric

Calicoasters
Yeah, my picture didn't turn out as cute as The Bebes did, but I got it! Â I saw Big Mike was on, so I waited around until he made his post. The second I clicked on it and saw it was Belmont I scrolled to the bottom, put on shoes and headed out! I only life about 40 minutes away, I knew I was unstopable! Â This worked out better than my 9 A.M. Legoland visit... $12 parking. Atleast my change was in all 2 dollar bills
packfanlv
Congrats on getting it. Hopefully Big Mike will post his Las Vegas adventures before I leave town on Tuesday for a week. (HINT HINT!)
rawrtotheargh
^ Hahaha Such dedication. I had to wait for them to let people into the stadium for mine. And then they wanted us to follow them. But I just ran up the stairs and got it. Glad to hear that it was still there. Crazy to believe that its been there for like weeks huh?
Calicoasters
Almost a whole month! 3/24. I showed up there that day to meet up with Big Mike! You can keep The Big Mike Road Show away from Calicoasters, but you can't keep Calicoasters away from The Big Mike Road Show!!!
rawrtotheargh
^ Â I think it would have been more interesting to leave the tickets though. Just like take a picture showing that you were there. That way he could go back years later and see if its still there. The ticket I got could easily have stayed there for like 5 years.
Crazy4Coasters!
Who knows maybe next year Big Mike will place a permanent sticker and a temporary one for the hunt game. That way Big Mike will have sticker showing all the places he has conquered... Long Live BMRS!!!
