Erik Johnson Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Just watch the video, no introduction is needed. TPRlovesCOP.wmv TPR Loves COP TPRlovesCOP.zip TPR Loves COP for download
pagemaster_b Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Hey, didn't they close down the US patent office during the 1920s, stating that everything was already invented? No, I'm getting some of my history mixed up. Still, I'm not sure if there really has been much progress since the 1920s. After all, the opposite of progress is congress. That was really funny.
robbalvey Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 OMG! That was the most awesome WDW experience ever! I'm glad you captured the moment Erik. I will say though that screech the theater made when it stopped was kind of scary! --Robb
Swimace Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 haha, nice video Erik. I got stuck in The Laughing Place on Splash Mountain for 20 minutes one time without the music ever stopping. It was awsome.
Shockwave Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Haha, that looked very educational! Kidtums will be well versed in the 1920s now. And no Jeff Johnson required!
LiquidForce Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 The same exact thing happened to me on that ride probably like 5 years ago. Great video!
FitchCoaster Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 That was hilarious! Looked like you guys made the best of the situation, haha.
Chrissie Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Haha!! Brilliant. Well done for catching it on film
cfc Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 So there isn't "a great big beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of everyday"?
Yeti762 Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Having to hear "great big beautiful tommorrow" that many times may be just as annoying as "it's a small world"!
alpengeist04 Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 That video was great!!! Now is the time, Now is the best time, Now is the best time of your life!!!
larrygator Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Erik - how many Disney rides have you been e-vaced off besides CoP and Pooh?
YoshiFan Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 That happened to me in 2004, we saw that 1920's scene 3 times but they got the ride going again and we didn't have to evacuate
Erik Johnson Posted January 7, 2008 Author Posted January 7, 2008 Erik - how many Disney rides have you been e-vaced off besides CoP and Pooh? Hmmmm....not too many that I can remember. That may be all. At Universal I had an E-stop and evacuation on both the Mummy and the Hulk in the same day.
Team Thriller Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I remember getting stuck on Haunted Mansion in the 'crystal ball' room with all the flying objects. You could see how everything was done. Then we had to evacuate. It was awesome. --James
moinab Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 We sat through the 1940s 3 times, last fall. I don't think I've ever seen that many people in there!
kraken613 Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Awsome! Never thought about that ride having to be evaced! The only ride I have been evaced on it Mystery Mine. A sensor went off or something.
njf Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I have been evacuated off Space Mountain, and Kilimanjaro Safari. While not evacuated but it broke down and we had to go back to the beginning a different way and not finish the ride. Although we got endless fastpasses out of it!
scruffy Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Having to hear "great big beautiful tommorrow" that many times may be just as annoying as "it's a small world"! Lucky you did not have a E-stop in It's A Small World like I did back in 2000. You think they could turn the audio off if the ride is down.
dandaman Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Personally I like how the CoP gear on the sign that shows the current year was unlit. "Holy s***, it really IS 1920!!"
vedved82491 Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 more like "it's a great big beautiful time warp" Ahh, that grand old annoying song.
