So since coming to TPR, I've noticed a lot of talk of credits, and how important they seem to a lot of people. Personally, I've never ridden a coaster just to get a credit, only if I actually wanted to go on it! I'm not saying theres anything wrong with whoring (it makes for good photos!), I was just wondering what the percentages in each category are.

I voted 'I count coasters ridden but don’t just ride a coaster for the sake of a credit'.

If you think there should be another option let me know

I get as many as I can get, but don’t mind if I miss a few kiddie coasters.

This is why I've never been on the kiddie coasters at SFMM and KBF, for example. Well, I thought they had a maximum height limit. I see now it's only a factor on Goliath Jr.

^ The kiddie at Knotts also has a height limit, which seems to vary from year to year. Sometimes I can ride, and others I can't.

As for being a credit whore, yes.

I don't PAY small children, but let's just say I do have the Jr. Gemini credit.

It was kind of funny, but Ryan actually got abducted BY a kid to ride Jr. Gemini!

I try and ride all the coasters a park has to offer.

But I never go "Whoring" to like a Jeepers or something and pay for a kiddie coaster or something. It just seems like a big waste of time and money to me when most of them are clones of kiddie coasters at bigger parks.

I try and get as many credits as possible, but I make no effort to get the kiddie coasters that require a kid, and I generally won't wait longer than 5-10 minutes for any other junior/kiddie coaster. To give you an idea, I've lived an hour south of Indianapolis almost my entire life and actually in Indianapolis the last year and a half and it wasn't until last month that I finally got the Kombo credit at the zoo.

^^ Well I do, but that is part of our adventure that the kids and I do. It makes for some fun trips, trying to get all the coasters we can!

Craig--doesn't think it is a waste of money if your having fun!

First, I will get in all the good coasters at a park, then, I will see if I can get any extra credits. I do count them, and I want to get my count up, but I want to get it up with the right coasters. I always make things sounds sexy when I talk.

I blame this site for introducing the "credit" concept to me.. Before, I would just ride a coaster cause I want, to, not really for the sake of a credit. But now, I'm in plotting and planning on future credits, but I dont think I would be a credit whore to try and ride EVERY thing thats considered a coaster

I fall into the first group, and I have an ongoing spreadsheet with the coasters I've ridden, but as time goes by, racking up credits for the sake of a credit is just becoming less and less important.

It's fun to think about how many credits I will have at the end of my trip, but I definitly chose quality over quantity. I had the chance to go to Six Flags New England with Superman being down, but with more credits than Bush Gardens Europe, and I chose Bush Gardens.

I care much more about the quality of the ride than the credit.

So at CP or GL, I went to Maverick and Dominator a second time versus the wildcat or the double loop.

Quality over quanity.

I don't care about counting, I ride for the feeling. I hate it when a park closes a ride and people whine " Ooh i'm going to miss that credit!" Who cares If you ride 1000 coasters or 1 it doesn't affect me at all.
