BeemerBoy
^ Yeah, they've beat a couple good teams...but Denver and Washington didn't start kicking it into gear until after they played Atlanta....and the Saints don't count this year. Atlanta's an above average team for sure; I'm just still not sold on them...yet. Next Sunday will tell everyone where they stand.
simaticable
Looks like the Pats are blowing out the Texans. Since when do Atlanta and Houston have to keep the same record?
Hilltopper39
Can we just go ahead and have the Giants and Patriots play next week for the Superbowl and forget all of those silly playoffs?
Philrad71
^ And the Bills still suck. I hate the NFL right now.

Jew
So that "super bowl preview" turned out to be an interesting game.
Sir Clinksalot
^ More interesting than I hoped it'd be after the first half. I figured the Patriots were going to make a little comeback, close to within 14 or something, but 28 straight and tie it up was kind of nerve wracking. And people wondered why we drafted James when we already had two strong running backs. Now we just need to figure WTH is wrong with our punt receivers. You'd think they would have learned after the NFC Championship last year. Should be a great game in Seattle this week.
simaticable
Congrats Megatron on your record breaking game, but you still manage to lose. Falcons, congrats on securing home field advantage, but you need to show everyone that you are a true Super Bowl contender and definitely a force to be reckoned with. Show the world that you're not the 2010 Falcons anymore but a team that could win it all.
jray21
Well the Niners sure gave up that game! It's one thing to have a bad game, it's another when the entire team performs like they really don't want to be there.
805Andrew
^ SF really surprises me that they'll beat really good teams like the Packers and the Patriots, but will lose to lesser teams like the Seahawks and the Rams. It's like they try harder when there up against better teams. I hope this is true in the playoffs, especially with a likely matchup with the Atlanta Falcons. Jew
The Seahawks are a playoff team, and also a division rival who now have an outside chance of winning the division because of this win. They just got beat badly. Pete Carroll finally beat Haurbaugh! Edited December 24, 2012 by Jew

Hilltopper39
Yeah, the Seahawks looks really tough right now. I don't know if they can win 3 in a row on the road in the playoffs but I like their chances as much as anyone at this point. Now that the majority of the playoff spots are decided who would everyone like to see in the Superbowl? Personally I think a Green Bay vs. New England match up would be fun to watch, but wouldn't mind seeing seeing San Fran play just about anyone from the AFC. Meteornotes
I really want to see Houston in the SB. I'm all about teams that haven't been there in awhile/ever. Anything but a SF/NE game, please. dt
stingrock23
Only thing I have to look forward to is Atlanta losing their first playoff game. And Goddell having to need security around him at all times when he's down here for the Super Bowl. The entire city hates him.
Hilltopper39
I hate to admit this because I secretly hate this team (or hate a lot of their fans I know) but I'm secretly pulling for the Colts to pull a few upsets and make a deep run. What they've done this year has been nothing short of phenomenal with a rookie QB and a head coach missing half the season for lukemia treatment. I'm a sucker for a good human interest story related to sports and if they made a run to the Superbowl it would be amazing.
Philrad71
First off - if New England goes to the Super Bowl again, I'm gonna puke. There, got that off my chest! I'd love to see a team like Cincinnati make it even though I think that there are more complete teams in the AFC. I could also see myself rooting for the Colts and Andrew Luck. Houston could make a hard push if they get home field, but I don't see Shaub beating Tom or Peyton in any kind of shoot-out. Don't really have much faith in Baltimore at this point as their defense just isn't good enough anymore to account for a not-so-great offense. My choice is Denver. They have been the hottest, most complete team in the AFC as of late and I think the only team that could stand up to New England and Tom Brady. Peyton's been there and done that, but that defense could be what will get them there. Von Miller is nasty and I think they have the defense that could be in Brady's face all day. I don't think Tom Brady offense is good enough to bail out his defense this year. I see the Broncos beating the Patriots in the AFC Championship game 28-21....especially if they host in Denver. As far as the NFC, I would rather it be Seattle, Atlanta, Washington or SF. Even though I'm not a big Redskins fan, I have to admit that it could be fun watching RGIII run around in the Super Bowl. Just think that their team might not quite be ready for a Super Bowl run just yet - if they make the playoffs. I honestly don't see Minnesota, Dallas or Chicago doing anything if they even make it. NY needs a miracle, but could prove tough as they always are in the playoffs. Seattle could be the one dark horse based on the way they have played recently. But get them away from Seattle (or Toronto - cough) and they seem to struggle a bit. I think they are like Washington in that they are still another year or two from really making a SB trip. I like the 49'ers defense, but you really have to wonder how Kaepernick (or Smith) will hold up in a grueling playoff game with Seattle, Green Bay or Atlanta. The NFC choice is definitely a hard one & could go just about any direction, but I think I'm going to have to go with the Falcons. Matt Ryan has matured and has a better cast of characters around him this year. I think that this will be the year that they get over their home field playoff jinx that's haunted them in the past. I say they edge out SF or Green Bay in the NFC championship 24-21. Super Bowl with the Broncos & Falcons - Broncos win with Peyton getting another MVP: 35-17. Hilltopper39
Yeah, the only team in the AFC I really see New England struggling with is Denver. New England doesn't rush the passer very well and if you can't rush Peyton Manning then he can pick you apart. Then again Bill Belichick > John Fox and I'd take Bady/Belichick over Manning/Fox all day every day especially in the playoffs. I still don't like Atlanta or Houston, I know both teams are the #1 seeds but I still don't have any confidence in either team to win a big game against an established playoff opponent like New England, or Green Bay, or San Francisco. Jew
^If I remember correctly, there has only been a few Super Bowls without anyone from the Trojans. I'm going with the Seahawks. Got to root for Pete Carroll. Not only that, they've been playing really well since the middle of the season. If for some reason the niners choke away the division the Seahawks can get home field advantage, I don't think there is any question they'll at least make the Superbowl.
