kunpc1
And the theming continues! I wonder what else the park has up their sleeves for Leviathan in the future... New Leviathan eyes on the tunnel. Wait 'til you see these things at night!
JRHcoasterki
So glad they are trying to make the tunnel look nicer! It's little things like this that go a long way.
kunpc1
The staff in the shops at Wonderland do an awesome job. I can't wait to see these things all lit up at night
Skycoastin Steve
I'm officially changing the name of the coaster to LEVIANOM.
coasterfreak101
Please tell me that's not the full extent of what they're doing to make the tunnel look better. It looks worse to me now than it did before - it was just ugly, now it's ugly and tacky.

eddie200330
Do they light up at night? If not then they need to have fire coming out of them!!
JonnyRCT3
Maybe if they filled in the "hole" at the bottom of Leviathan's drop and did something similar to Goliath(SFMM), the "tunnel section would blend allot better.
SharkTums
LOL! It looks like one of those custom hand painted tacky mailboxes. I will call it, the mailbox tunnel!

SoCalCoasters
I've discovered the nitpicking process for Leviathan... First there was:Why is the break run so long? > So the park can increase ride capacity, and get more people through the ride. Next there was: Why isn't there any additional theming? > Park installs tunnel on the bottom of the first drop of the ride. Then there was: Why isn't it more theming on the tunnel? Why doesn't it fit the theme? > Park paints tunnel and installs eyes on it. Now there is: That theming is terrible! Why don't you do a better job? > ???? I swear people will find anything to bash about a ride. It's a tunnel. With eyes. Eyes probably hand made by someone at the park in one of the workshops. Is that really going to majorly effect your opinion of the ride? I'll take a tunnel with eyes over no tunnel any day.
thestripedtaco
^ The eyes really do look cheesy though. Painting the tunnel was a good idea.
rcdude
I hope there's more to it than just the eyes, as those by themselves look pretty bad. If there's more, however, it would probably have been better to just wait until the off-season and then put it on all at once.
JonnyRCT3
^ The eyes really do look cheesy though. Painting the tunnel was a good idea. This is an Amusement Park with a "wonder mountain" and a rainbow entrance to it's childrens' area. The tunnel just seems so out of place. I'm actually one of the few who likes the eyes. Sammy*
I never noticed that before, but the tunnel does look crappy. Was this tunnel just something they added at the last minute, cause thats too cool of a coaster for something like that.
JonnyRCT3
Well, MF has TWO of those tacky mailbox tunnels. But at-least those are more hidden by the foliage and a rock facade. It just doesn't do justice for a 306' Beemer.
rollin_n_coastin
I think Elissa was referring to something like an Aunt Mildred's custom doggie mailbox rather than just a mailbox, with only the eyes molded on there like that. It does look really funny looking at it that way I don't think it's close to being done and if the quality of the entrance sign is anything to go by, I'm sure it'll look great when it's done, especially at night. The only thing that sticks out more to me is the concept. Since the trains already have eyes, it makes sense that we are riding Leviathan and therefore doesn't really make sense that Leviathan is eating us while we are riding Leviathan? Maybe a diving underwater theme and effects for the tunnel would have worked better.
Dom497
You know what I find funny about the tunnel now? Its the fact that now Leviathan is eating....Leviathan!!! The front of the trains have the Levi eyes and now the tunnel...some good logic there...

mightypotato
I was at the park over the weekend and those eyes are REALLY cheesy. I can only hope some more theming goes into the mailbox tunnel. Also, has Cedar Fair's rain policy changed recently? It was raining pretty good on Saturday afternoon and everything was still open, including Behemoth and Leviathan. FeelTheFORCE
Also, has Cedar Fair's rain policy changed recently? It was raining pretty good on Saturday afternoon and everything was still open, including Behemoth and Leviathan. When I was there in late July it was raining pretty good, but everything was still open. I was impressed!
Dom497
Also, has Cedar Fair's rain policy changed recently? It was raining pretty good on Saturday afternoon and everything was still open, including Behemoth and Leviathan. Everything stays open in rain. I believe Levi and Behemoth run one train during rain. As long as there isn't thunder/hail, everything stays open. I remember going to the park this year and as dark clouds were approaching right after the first flash of lightning, all the rides immediately shut down.
