Tobias94 Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Please Robb, come to Gröna Lund on your Mainland Europe trip. I would love to meet you there.
Wes Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 ^ Read Elissa's post a couple posts up. If Liseberg wouldn't be on the mainland Europe trip, it's doubtful Grona Lund would be. It could be part of an add-on, though. Besides, by then, all of Grona Lund's coasters would be shut down due to all the tragic accidents that occur on them.
Tobias94 Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 ^Yeah, you're right, Wes. But my dream would be reality if you came to Gröna Lund. Of course my dream is to meet you guys
coasterbilly Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 I definitely love the U.S trips you have here, especially Texas, but I too am in the same boat and might have finals, if you made it later in May that would be all of the college kids best shots at making that one!
tigerxeyez Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 I'm interested in the Europe, Texas and Florida Halloween trip! I'm also interested in Disney around the world actually, I'm interested in all of them minus the so cal one becuz I live in So Cal!!!!
Nrthwnd Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Liseberg would not be on the Mainland Euro trip, but could possibly be an addon.
SharkTums Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 ADMIN NOTE! Please do not give us itineraries that include your out of the way home park! Thanks!
Electerik Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Okay, filled it out. I have to admit, I was really hoping for a combined Scandinavia/Germany type trip, but most of these sound pretty cool, too.
SharkTums Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 ^ ADMIN NOTE! Please do not give us itineraries that include your out of the way home park! Thanks! That's why.
ahecht Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Doing a Disney around the World trip has always been a dream of mine. However, doing so would require (a) a job that provides more than a week of vacation time and (b) money.
SharkTums Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 ^Yeah, try like 3 weeks and lots of money! Disney Around the World will be INCREDIBLE and totally worth it though! Staying ONSITE everywhere!
BarryH Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 All the trips sound interesting, but I'm not sure if I can make any of them. I would like the China trip, but I know my mom would want to come along and try to find me a Chinese bride.
larrygator Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 All the trips sound interesting, but I'm not sure if I can make any of them. I would like the China trip, but I know my mom would want to come along and try to find me a Chinese bride. The key word being TRY. Yes, I still owe you a XL t-shirt Barry, I'm working on it.
thefitness Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 I think I filled out the questionnaire yesterday...I'm really hoping I can make it out to one of the trips next year. All the trips sound fun. Disney around the World would be awesome, so would Taiwan and Malaysia.
Cameron Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 If it makes any difference, I'm actually more interested in meeting people/making friends than the actual coasters when I go to such events. Then you will really enjoy the TRP trips. I was on the UK trip last year, and I was actually a little apprehensive about it before we left. My concern was about spend 10 days with smelly coaster nerds who are constantly high-fiving me with clammy hands, and have no social skills whatsoever. What I got was a great bunch of people, many new friends (who I'm still in touch with), and a really fun trip that was the absolute highlight of my year. The TPR trips are not at all like an ACE event .. in fact I'd say they are the total opposite of an ACE event. The TPR trips are for "normal people who also like coasters". Cameron.
Chrissie Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Disney Around the World will be INCREDIBLE and totally worth it though! Staying ONSITE everywhere! Wow,Wow,Wow!! Im gonna start saving...Just incase... hehe!
OldJJman Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 ....... try to find me a Chinese bride. And the remaining women of the world rojoiced!!
robbalvey Posted June 23, 2007 Author Posted June 23, 2007 Disney Around the World will be INCREDIBLE and totally worth it though! Staying ONSITE everywhere! Wow,Wow,Wow!! Im gonna start saving...Just incase... hehe! We *will* do the Disney Around The World trip, the only question is what year. I'm thinking 2009 is a certain possibility. This one needs to be researched VERY well and it will take some time for us to put together. It will be the most expensive and probably the LONGEST trip we've ever done, considering the cost of a round the world airfare and the cost of staying on property at all the hotels. It's one of those trips where you go "If you're going to do it...might as well do it RIGHT!" I figure it would look something like this: Disneyland California - 2 Days Travel day to Tokyo Tokyo Disney Resort - 4 days Travel day to Hong Kong Hong Kong Disney Resort - 2 days Travel day to Paris Disneyland Paris Resort - 3 days Travel day to Florida Walt Disney World 4 - 5 days Add on 4 day Disney Cruise. So even without the Cruise it would still be at LEAST a 18 day trip. 2009 is what were shooting for, but no promises! --Robb
missingmusician Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 Mike (KrakenKing) and I are looking at Europe next year.
LOVE SFKK Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 ^ what do you think an guestimate of the price would be. I think the China trip would be awesome! Happy valley looks amazing
robbalvey Posted June 23, 2007 Author Posted June 23, 2007 ^ what do you think an guestimate of the price would be. I really have no idea....but if I had to "guess" I'd say $6,000 INCLUDING airfare in between all the destinations. YOU would be responsible to get from your home location to LAX and from Orlando back home. But again, that's a VERY rough estimate and it may change based on when we go, etc. --Robb
