  1. thanks Chuck! I might have to make a detour! I rode Diamondback last summer and it's my top Beemer right now, but with Goliath and Intimidator coming in a month who knows if that will hold
  2. 1 train on MF and Magnum? Man what is CP doing! Thats BS on that photo illegal stuff, intriguing and questionable that it happened down in IOA too dude.
  3. here here (I'll actually say Rum, I hate tomatos lol) that's the beauty of opinion I guess
  4. 15 people? I don't know that's still 15 too many in my opinion in order to get them off the stage, if they went to Alex Gasgarth (ATL singer) to say stop playing and get these kids off I'm sure it would have been done, notice the band stopped after the mace was used?? Clearly no one went to them to stop, so they just did that? Honestly this has gone on for too long, that's what I think, didn't want it to explode into something I was just sharing my opinion but I guess opinions get blown up here all the time
  5. ^ the video didn't show him saying it, the video is showing them going up, the beginning of the topic explains that the band told them to, I've never seen fans rush the stage if they weren't told to lol. I didn't say "let it happen", they could have controlled the situation way better, I'm not saying they shouldn't have done anything at all (that'd just be retarded ), I just think jumping to pepper spray was a bit harsh, I mean that stuff is used on criminals not kids at a rock show
  6. so rushing the stage and having fun calls for that severe of an action? I'm failing to see how you can think that it was necessary, it's called if they don't get off the stage and you have to call for something like that to be done then obviously they didn't have security or bouncers big or strong enough to move them off themselves. Look at all other tours, they have em and have no issues whatsoever.
  7. uh maybe because all the kids were doing were jumping up and down to the music?
  8. all of you are taking this WAYYYY out of proportion. Robb, they maced kids that weren't doing anything to provoke it, necessary? DEFINITELY NOT. So what did All Time Low do? SPEAK OUT AGAINST IT. So honestly, take a long look at the scenario, Six Flags f***** up for doing that so All Time Low had something to say about it, yet again to please their crowd and sure protect them, what's funny about that? Being maced for no reason is something to just shrug off? I just told my mom about it, who isn't a professional in either area (btw no one needs to be a "professional" or "have experience" to have an opinion or even knowledge of things these days, it's called common sense and a passion for something), and she thought what was done was ridiculous. I was on a committee for my college's spring show this year, we looked at past video performances of the bands we were bringing in to be aware of things they did, things we would need to prepare for, etc, if SF had maybe done this, they would have known. None of us work there or were at this precise event, so none of us will know for sure. To put the blame ENTIRELY on one side is outrageous because both did something wrong in this situation, if SF brought in bands like Korn or Slipknot or Suicide Silence, then it would be a different story, but All Time Low? Are you kidding me? That's where I find SF in the wrong and of course ATL for calling THAT MANY people up was where they were wrong, they could have regulated it a little bit more, but that's what happened, regardless, that kind of action against those fans wasn't appropriate, that's my opinion.
  9. I was just at Hersheypark (had an amazing kick off to my season btw ). I was thinking about the coaster line-up they have, honestly it's near perfection with it's 2 amazing Intamins, 3 kick a$$ woodies, Schwarzkopf looper, mine train, water coaster, wild mouse, boomerang, and B&M invert Great Bear, but to me one more B&M would put it at perfect level. I've always thought this park lacked the hyper category but always wondered where it would go, if the rumors are indeed true of them expanding across to the golf area it would work and could be quite a ride. It's obviously wishful thinking but I guess we need to figure out what this mysterious yellow B&M track actually is first
  10. damn this is crappy news, I honestly enjoyed Carowind's Hurler a lot! I also enjoyed it's older brother Thunder Road at KK too, for some reason KD's has always been rougher. Guess we will have to see what happens with it as the summer rolls along when I get to it in July, I enjoy the layout of this ride and the airtime it gives, we will see!
  11. ^agreed, I didn't mean to come off favoring All Time Low over Six Flags, I have been an enthusiast longer then a music nerd and wanting to be in the music industry, I just think things should have been prepared better and handled better on Six Flags' part because, as you said, shows like this get that way. That is what All Time Low and the crowds at their shows are used to, obviously Six Flags wasn't, so hopefully next time communication is more open between the two and it can be handled better and the actions of the band will be too.
  12. awesome TR, everytime I see more and more of Liseberg the more and more it's one of the top parks I would like to visit whenever I get over to Europe someday
  13. but Robb they ARE acceptable actions at rock shows are they not? What did they do wrong to dismiss? The band wanting to give their fans a show? So many big bands these days are snobs and don't give 2 craps about their fans, it's all about money, bands on that tour still consider the fans their #1 priority. Again their was no rioting or fighting whatsoever so why was mace necessary???? I'm not seeing how what happened was what you call "unacceptable" when stuff like bringing fans on stage happens a lot at rock shows, and even better, their wasn't even people fighting, so their is nothing unacceptable about it at all.
  14. wow this is an awesome report thanks a lot for it! I'll be there in mid-July I've been to so many Six Flags parks and so far the most gorgeous and personal favorite of mine is SFGAm, so your review makes me wonder if that's going to change! How far is Lake Winnie from SFoG by the way?
  15. luckily for me I can call 3 parks home: SFGAdv, HP, and DP. Great Adventure and Hershey haven't lost anything since I started going to them, but honestly Dorney has started to fade, with the amount of rides and coasters SF and HP have, going to DP and knocking out everything in 2-3 hours gets old pretty quick, probably will only visit 1-2 times this year and in the future so I can continue to enjoy it instead of getting tired of it
  16. ha too bad the band sounds NOTHING like Fall Out Boy, good try though. Being a music business major going into the music industry this falls more on Six Flags in my honest opinion. If you go to Warped Tour or to The Bamboozle or any show of this caliber, one would know what rock shows are all about: going crazy, even rowdy. Let's also note that these teens and fans are here to see the band and have fun, inviting them on stage brings the crowd closer to them and gives them a show to remember, it's been done before. The macing was an overreaction, yes All Time Low might have wanted to think about this before they did it, but they know one thing: to put on a great show and give their fans a good time. For a pop punk show it includes, to some, what happened and that was bringing their fans on stage. Six Flags should have done their homework, it's not the responsibility of the band, the tour manager, or anyone to tell Six Flags what to expect, if you're going to bring a tour of this caliber to your park, be ready for it. Macing shouldnt have occurred, why did they do it? Were kids attacking each other? Were they trying to hurt the security that was present? No, the thing I see in the video is kids rushing up there and jumping around, no rioting or anything, so it wasn't needed. I'm not saying I'm right, but for someone looking to own a venue one day it's kind of sad to see this happen at a show that was supposed to be fun. What All Time Low said about Six Flags, which was said earlier, might have been over the top, but yet again it's a performance and they had to do that to keep the crowd in it, and quite frankly, they don't want to see their fans treated that way, so in essence they were trying to protect them. If this had occurred at any other place, the macing wouldn't have happened because venues that bring in these bands know what to expect, so Six Flags, instead of condemning them for doing what they do and not letting them play, is a terrible idea. Sit down with them and a form a medium because now the park is going to get a bad rep for doing this, it's all a business these days, you need to think about the people coming to your park too, not just for the show, but for the rides as well. Regardless it's unfortunate but it's done with, now Six Flags needs to decide where to go from here, talk to the band about regulations and keep the Roadshow at the remaining Six Flags like they have been advertising with all bands present, or just kicking them out and disappointing there attendees without even trying, going to be interesting to see what happens.
  17. this one Batman- The Dark Knight @ SFNE, a forgotten B&M floorless coaster amazing paintwork with light blue on that dark purple, such a nice touch
  18. wow this thing looks absolutely sick, Observation Tower turned Drop Tower, that's epic, not to mention the marketing on this, superbly executed, take notes US Amusement Parks, this is how it should be done
  19. 1) Millennium Force- still my overall #1 and was scared s***less when I rode it because of the drop when it opened in 2000, just love the speed and elements, can't get enough of it. 2) Top Thrill Dragster- wasn't expecting much from it honestly but man the lap bar makes the ride that much better, the freedom on the launch and the spiral drop allow for a free, scary experience, so awesome. 3) Maverick- out of control experience, the launched lift hill then the launch under the station make this one very unique! 4) Raptor- My first B&M invert, despite it being over 15 years old now it's still one of the most popular coasters there (last time I was there it still attracted a near full queue in the middle of the day. 5) Wicked Twister- Love impulse coasters, but the height and double spike on this make this the best of them all. 6) Magnum XL 200 7) Blue Streak 8) Mantis 9) Wildcat 10) Iron Dragon
  20. oh Holiday World how I wish it wasn't as packed when I went last season so I could re-ride all day. I got 2 rides each on Raven and Legend and 3 on Voyage. But still I agree with Voyage, totally out of control in the back and I love your review of Legend, it hit my top ten immediately too, it's such a good ride. Thanks so much for the report, still waiting for Holiday World to maybe up the bar and add that steel coaster, guess we will have to wait and see
  21. hahaha that is too true, can't believe that thing has just been laying there all of these years, that would honestly be a good addition to this place if they would just build it , with how they nicely keep up the rest of their coasters they could make it a decent stand up for sure
  22. Are you kidding me? So there were other people in the group that didn't try to stop her from doing this to her son or calming her down themselves? Some "other adults" they are!
  23. nice report man! It's been a while since I've been to this place (Last time I believe was in 2005 when it was still under Six Flags!). I thoroughly enjoyed this place when I was there, nice size, nice array of coasters and flats, and great atmosphere! I have been on both Ride of Steel and Superman: Ride of Steel at SFA, I personally enjoy DL's more simply because I felt like it ran smoother and indeed the water makes you feel like you're flying. Both versions are fantastic, but to me it's all about location and I feel DL's sits on better land, that's the only reason it's better in my opinion. Thanks for sharing!
  24. not to mention safety first, these are new trains, they need to be broken in, and to be broken in on Voyage? haha
