Steelinwood
Nitro is the most overrated ride ever. It didn't even have good airtime. The helix of doom wasn't bad at all and the only good part was the hammerhead. It's not a bad ride but I don't see how it's loved so much. To top that all off it's one of the ugliest rides on the face of the planet. what makes you think it looks ugly?
HCLcoasters
Have you seen the queue. It's rusted and nasty plus the colors are awful. Beneath the ride are broken down trucks and the maintenance area. The colors are just weird and faded, but that's just my opinion.
CoasterPrince
Uhm. So this is how you feel. Nitro for the record was built above the maintence track so they aren't broken down trucks. Nitro happens to be one of the best B&M Hypers on the planet. It is not over-hyped. It delivers everything people say it does. It could be burnt-sienna with dayglow green supports it and would still be amazing.
Skycoastin Steve
^^I agree, Nitro isn't anything special at all. Plus this year it had that "B&M shimmy" that older B&M's tend to get. Took a little away from the ride. As far as B&M hypers are concerned, Apollo's Chariot and Diamondback are far better.
CoasterPrince
Apollo's Chariot did nothing for me. Then again, I did ride Griffon before. Ha. Maverick was rough this year. Not a huge fan anymore just a modest fan.
Skycoastin Steve
^Just curious, but you DO know that there's no "s" at the end of Great Adventure, right? As the "#1 fanboy," that seems like something you should know.
atem122
^That's already been pointed out to him. ^^I'd agree with you on your thoughts about Nitro being the best ever...but you really can't trust anyone who claims to be the number one fanboy of any place... As for an overrated ride... SCBB Giant Dipper, IDK why everyone thinks it's better than the other one (though I am the harsh minority and you all probably see differently) I prefer the Belmont Park one more, the SCBB one did nothing for me when I rode it. HCLcoasters
There is no airtime whatsoever on Nitro and at best it is a mediocre hyper coaster. It's the fourth best ride at GADV in my opinion so it ranks fairly far down overall.

As the "#1 fanboy," that seems like something you should know. He is Great Adventure's #1 fanboy. Hence Gadv's #1 fanboy, possessive. Answer to thread: I'll say Kumba. It didn't really do anything to me.
CoasterNERD502
Hydra was fun, but after the inversion before the lift, it was kind of just "meh". Also Loch Ness Monster, it was a snoozefest. I disliked every boring second of it.
HCLcoasters
^^^ Let me rephrase that, no good air.

jjeerr
Ehh didn't even see that part I guess I should say another coaster: Hulk at IOA. It was better last time I road it then the first time, but compared to Dragons, it's just kinda crappy. Not bad (though suffers from B&M rumble), just not amazing. Skycoastin Steve
^^Exactly. I don't say "Come ride Rampage at Alabama Adventures." Because that's not the name of the park. Just like I wouldn't say "Come ride Disaster Transport at Cedar Points." It's just something that irks me, especially coming from someone who really seems to enjoy the park. It was fun, but it didn't amaze me.
therooboy
I found Nitro & also Silver Star at Europa big let downs, especially after riding Apollo, which i really liked. Nitro had lots of slow floaty air but no real kick & began my disappointment at B&M megas. Hope Behemoth [2010 for me] is better.
AllenA07
I know I'm going to hear it for this one, but I remember being a kid and thinking that Windjammer looked like the coolest ride on the face of the Earth. I was actually very excited for its opening. In hindsight I called that one wrong.

Capitalize
In my experiences the B&M megas are only really good and forceful in the back seat. In the front there's no airtime to speak of on any I've ridden, but in the back there's plenty.

Then again, Windjammer was broken, though I seem to remember it testing.

In the front there's no airtime to speak of on any I've ridden, but in the back there's plenty. Come try out Diamondback, then! Apparently it has the strongest 'front seat airtime' out of the B&M hypers. I thought Goliath's frontseat was better than the back. On Diamondback I usually pick the middle for the amount of sustained floater air....it just goes on for ages!
Skycoastin Steve
^He's right about Diamondback. The best rides I had were in rows 5 and 6. You literally can't make yourself sit back down in your seat until it's halfway down the other side of the hill. And believe me, I tried!
