  1. looks hella fun!!! I don't know if it will be on the table for the next trip, just too much to do already between wdw and universal, but depending on availability i'll drop the ~$4k. If the "day trip" to hollywood studios includes "special versions" of rise of the resistance / millennium falcon it may tip the scales...
  2. im "working remote" today so I'm in line for railblazer (while on the phone vpn) , they are sending trains very well!
  3. oh a great morning at DCA, super quick to get in, I think I was in the web slinger line by 9am with boarding pass group 11πŸ•·πŸ•ΈπŸ•Έ I've gotten boarding passes at both noon windows, and 1 out of 3 for boarding passes at 7am. hopefully my partner makes it in by noon for a shot at rise of the resistance!!! update: well my partner didn't make it in until 3pm, but I got a Rise boarding pass! it seems like it's the "full experience" but we where moved passed the first show room as it was coming back from a downtime overall very good trip!!! love the mobile ordering and losing fastpass wasn't too bad (it feels like we traded ride fastpass for food fastpass )
  4. I'm going 14th 15th and 16th and now Disney got me playing the boarding pass practice game every day at noon I got 6 shots at the slot machine, I won the lottery for one of the Tokyo Disneyland shows over 4 days, I'm feeling good about this one!
  5. yeah I love walk around drinks but if I’m at pandemic Disneyland I can stay at my spot.
  6. I'm not feeling too good about the area right around Disneyland right now, but hopefully the mouse company can scare anyone into wearing the mask who even thinks they're want to go to Disneyland.
  7. social distancing for smoking area! embed wasn't working, photo by @tayokoo1 photo by @tayokoo1 -- img of TDR smoking area with social distance markings
  8. oh I'm excited ! I love the "look" of the movie, I'm hoping the creative team gets the budget to really capture the animation and mannerisms of all the characters. I wonder if they will use some of the "2d" ideas from Mickey and Minnie's railway.
  9. I'm not going to visit places running the "SeaWorld" system. The "Universal" system seems to work (at least as well as before ), hopefully it's what everyone not open yet is going to do!
  10. I'd like to do a Disneyland trip in mid-Aug, 3-4 weeks after. For Six Flags and such, I'll prob end up going a few weeks after opening, if I have a quiet day at "work"
  11. I asked a cast member as we were going though security, and they said you have to be in Disneyland.
  12. if there's an expansion to the bath house, I'll be back!
  13. Still boarding group only, we got 74 on Saturday when I was a little slow but with no hiccups. Sunday I didn't do the "try to make a fastpass with Maxpass" part and ended up with 107. I had to back out of the one screen, get the first Maxpass screen where you pick the people in your group, then go back to the "get the boarding group" screen. People where in line near Star Tours to get a boarding group in person, I was on my phone by Astro Orbiter and people where definitely cheering from over there!
  14. I had a VERY PACKED three days (Friday - Sunday) last weekend that I'm mostly recovered from We had brunch at lamplight lounge all three days! Longest we had to wait was 30 min on Sunday, but we were able to go on Little Mermaid / wander around until the return text came back. I believe you offically have 10 min to get back to your table. I love star wars land! The photopass people hidden around the land is super fun, the food and snacks (and drinks!) are good, and it doesn't feel "crowded". There seems to be places to chill throughout the land, and both big rides are easy to get to without fighting though a huge crowd. The Frozen show was great, all the lead performers were good, and I loved the actor playing the king. No one else with me made it to World of Color with Hurry Home – Lunar New Year Celebration, but I loved it! Rise of the Resistance is def the best! Hopefully they get it running well enough that when I make it back, I can just wait an hour and a half in line
  15. I had a 1 hour boarding pass Sunday in California when we were group 107, called around 8pm when Disneyland closed at 11pm.
  16. Sunday night my group was 107, we made it! It went down as we were prisoners of the empire, but we were able to be recovered into the "fastpass" line for a full run!
  17. Had a nice time with the cutie yesterday (free ticket week with the pass!) It was my 2nd time on the "free spin" S&S coasters, still fun! Once Batman was running, the line was moving good. 4 cars (loading two at a time), they where ready to go a bit after the two on track made it back. Other than a puker on Medusa, the line was moving great, ready to go just the train came in. Joker with one train took a while. Saw one maintenance dude 3 times! Fixing Joker and Batman, fishing a jacket out of the Wonder Woman. Me and the cutie both can't really handle the spinning of Wonder Woman. I pretended to be a ballerina and did the "focus on a point" move as the cycle ended, that helped. Love the water bottle fillers, even with the filter in "red" status the water was cold-ish and tasted fine.
  18. When both are open at the same time I'd be able to tell you better.
  19. I'll be there Tuesday as well. I'm excited to see how everything looks as I haven't been this year.
  20. B&M: I love Dueling Dragons/Dragon Challenge at Islands of Adventure, are you interested in making another dueling-coaster if a park wants one?
  21. I bought my season pass today, (the Costco deal at my location ends Sunday), and I'm excited to go back for the first time since I worked there in 2010. I'm glad the gold pass includes Halloween Haunt, as I haven't attended that since the first year it happened.
  22. I went to Out of the Mountain yesterday, and operation-wise, it was amazing. Two trains on Tatsu/X2, with dispatches happening right as the trains came back. Apocalypse had the preshow doors all open, and with two trains, had a 2-3 train wait. Green Lantern's line looked pretty ridiculous, but I went there first, and walked on. The only negative I could say was single-train Batman, but even then, right at 12am it took around 20min for the back row for a line around the outside of the sewer area.
  23. I'm getting excited for tomorrow. Not so excited for driving back tomorrow night.
