I went to Out of the Mountain yesterday, and operation-wise, it was amazing. Two trains on Tatsu/X2, with dispatches happening right as the trains came back. Apocalypse had the preshow doors all open, and with two trains, had a 2-3 train wait. Green Lantern's line looked pretty ridiculous, but I went there first, and walked on. The only negative I could say was single-train Batman, but even then, right at 12am it took around 20min for the back row for a line around the outside of the sewer area.

TPR Bay Area Weekend - SFDK/CGA
jjeerr replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
After taking my sweet-ass time figuring out if I'm doing anything that weekend, I'm going sad-and-pathentic-style to SFDK. -

^I'm not sure what's wrong with Scream, but though it doesn't "hurt", it has a very bad rattle. Yet if you ride Batman, smooth the whole way. Riddlers and Tatsu have a bit of jiggle, but Scream is as shaky as a vuvuzela is annoying For the new ride, it actuality looks pretty cool. Siting in what I would image to be B&M flyer seats (which are comfy and easy to load and check), the "4D" coaster seems like it would be...fun. -
1: I am very very happy to see FastPasses for WoC. I'm hoping I'll be able to keep riding rides until 15 min before a show starts, but that is seeming unlikely. Also, is there a chance they will stagger the WoC fastpasses? Give one block out at 9am, another block out at 12pm, a final at 3pm? 2: I hope that they start to open and close DCA with Disneyland. Mostly because nearly everyone will go to Disneyland first, and being nearly alone at DCA would be great. Once the Cars ride opens, I think they will have to, just to run it enough hours to get everyone on it. I see the Cars ride opening for hotel early entry at 7am, and finishing off the line at 1am, at least for the first summer. (Similar to Space Mountain every 8-12am opening already)

B&M Hyper restraint/lapbar system
jjeerr replied to pkd freak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If you are small, there's a good chance that you are below the "maximum tightness" of the restraint. On stand-up rides, this is more apparent, because of the way you....stand up. -
I have 50 more min on my BC2 steam download, any TPRer's got it for PC?

I don't like how it's called an "attack". It's not like the whale could easily free the trainer, if anyone gets stuck to the whale and the whale starts swimming, your pretty much screwed. From the idea that hair getting caught in mouth was the reason this happened, I think a full body-comdom with no areas to "stick" is going to be the trainer outfit. -
The best, free-ist and fastest anti-virus is Microsoft Security Essentials (http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/ ) If it wasn't for EU anti-trust laws I think Microsoft would pre-install it on all systems. Also, this is where I remind you to always update windows ASAP. Every time it tells you "hey, there's an update" for windows, do it.

To the people playing TF2 on console: You really gotta get it on PC. It runs on pretty much anything*. It's $20. *Laptops/desktops with real video cards made after 2005, most intel macs (in windows), netbooks with nvidia ion/real video cards.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wq58zS4_jvM I think that's my favorite. And yay for new TPR for showing new posts made...though it might have did that before...

I made stir-fry with balsamic vinegar instead of soy sauce.

UNCHARTED 2! The game is hella silly, ND did a great job by playing the game straight, but not by taking itself too seriously. It "feels" very Indiana Jones, and the Gears shooting w/platforming on normal-looking characters works great. But man, the stealth section in the beginning is pretty bad.

Most Overrated coaster?
jjeerr replied to BlackWidow's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I went to Knotts the year that Ghostrider opened, and Windjammer looked really cool. Then again, Windjammer was broken, though I seem to remember it testing. -

Ehh didn't even see that part I guess I should say another coaster: Hulk at IOA. It was better last time I road it then the first time, but compared to Dragons, it's just kinda crappy. Not bad (though suffers from B&M rumble), just not amazing. -

He is Great Adventure's #1 fanboy. Hence Gadv's #1 fanboy, possessive. Answer to thread: I'll say Kumba. It didn't really do anything to me. -

I want to believe that they'll return with the new Star Tours. -
I would agree, but I'm going to buy it. I hope they patch 3 microphone support from B:RB to RB2 though.

I really like the Gamecube's controller. The wacky face buttons, the "nipple" C-stick, the HUGE analog shoulder buttons, the controller should of sucked, yet it was amazing.
