OK, as good as your rest of the PTR was, the latest segment totally dominates everything. First the fog, then all the wonderful rides of the Magic Kingdom, then the Sea Gull of Evil. I want to go back NOW! Awesome job, Chuck.

Now if we could only make you get ready in less time so you didn't have to "wake up early to catch an 11:30 bus!!"

No problem! Someone told me that if you have to compare the two resorts it comes down to this...If the WDW Resort is GRAND, then Disneyland Resort is CHARMING! Each has something to love! Again, I am an equal opportunity Disney fan!

HAHAHAH! Thanks Derek! Seriously though, we slept in until about 10 that morning...still had to pack! I could be ready to go in 30 minutes...should it be less than that....i'm scared now!

I hate Seagulls. Actually, I hate birds in general. Filthy disease ridden animals! Consider yourself lucky that you only got dive bombed by one. It could have been carrying ebola and you might be bleeding out the ears right now.

So remember, it could always be worse.

Anywhoo... ...Looks like you had a great time, blah, blah, blah. Makes me want to go back soon, blah, blah, blah. Great TR, blah, blah, blah.

So glad you had a wonderful time Chuck. Awesome TR.

Thanks again for the great TR and beautiful pics! They were great to look at as I sit here and listen to the ice storm outside, where it's about 5 degrees. I like that you took so many pics from different angles, and not the standard touristy ones. Liked the fog effect- that was cool. And the ones of Big Thunder Mtn- having never been on it, I didn't realize how much theming there was. I'm like you- I can't get enough of looking at that castle! It's just so- magical! (I guess that was the point). Seagull thing was weird- I knew they stole food, but ice cream? And in inland Florida? Speaking of food, that pizza looked good!

You are absolutely right Guy! It could be much worse, for all that I have experienced I am grateful! Thanks for the positive thinking and compliments!

AMAZING Photo TR!!!

You captured everything so well!

The fog looked so cool! I wish I could go to Disney when it was like that!

But the main question...

DID YOU SEE LOST????

Thanks, and of course I saw Lost! As well as the survival guide thingy! I am a Lost addict!

You are telling me! I was freaked out! Who knew birds liked chocolate vanilla swirled soft serve Ice Cream cones...but now that I am thinking about it...I don't really blame them! That shtuff is good!

SAME thing happened to my friend at Cedar Point with his hamburger! The seagull swooped down and took it right away! I am loving your photo trip report! I think I went to that improv place in Downtown Disney...I do improv and it was great! Keep it up!

The whole shebang was great but it got better as it went along. Wow, you went from stock shots everyone gets (like EE shots etc) to some unique ones. The fog made the park very mystical. What was primilarily great about your TR though was that it totally took me back to when I was there last, which was my first visit too. Will definitely look forward to seeing future stuff from you. It was also excellent to see inside some of the places at DD as I only got there on one of the nights and saw only the shopping part, disappointingly. As you say, it's a shame to miss out on stuff but gives you something to look forward to next time.

Thank you.

You should come over to the UK to Brighton Pier, the seaguls there are enormous !! Still wouldn't want them pinching my ice cream though, thats just out of order !! Hopefully the seagul had a small sugar coma for a while and it'll put him off for life !!

Really cool TR there Chuck !

Makes me wanna visit Florida !

Seagulls can be pretty aggressive--I wonder if they go for Dole Whip, too? Have you ever encountered the ultra-aggressive, Doritos-stalking squirrels of Seventeen Mile Drive in Carmel? Now they're pretty scary! Reminds me of last summer at BGE, when I encountered this trash can lid (near the Griffon construction site) that was shaking back-and-forth violently. Out popped a large squirrel with about half a waffle cone in its mouth! Actually got a picture of the little bugger.

But I digress--thanks for the TR and the pics.

I hope there aren't any seagulls at Cedar Point. *shudders*

Sorry to tell you, but the parking lot is normally littered with white dots... and I don't mean the gulls themselves.

That was actually the other gull story I was going to tell... it involves those "spots" and one of my unlucky friends. You do the math.

Luckily, we didn't encounter these viscious beasts you speak of on our drive through. It does look as though I'll have to keep a closer eye on my beloved chocolate covered bananas next time I'm at WDW.

Again, great TR Chuck.

Excellent! You saw "DiVine!" When I was at the Animal Kingdom on the last day of my trip (not counting a traveling day), my friend who was down in Orlando on business joined my mom and me. At one point in the park, I came to rejoin my friend from somewhere else (I can't remember where) when I saw a crowd of people on the pathway. So I joined the group, and there she was--the moving vine! My friend informed me that he saw her when she first began to move after standing still, and it scared the crap out of him!

We also found her to be quite fascinating...

Also, I'll throw in my two cents and proclaim myself an "Animal Kingdom dork." Sure, it was the most crowded park of the four (on a weekday, in the off-season...lots of UK tourists on holiday, though), and it was hot, and my feet were really hurting by then. I was frustrated, but I also saw something special in the park. It's meant to have a different rhythm than the other parks, and it's not to everyone's taste, but under less crowded circumstances I could really enjoy it. I'd love to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for a few days. Perhaps this fall...
