BDG Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 http://hight3ch.com/post/robotic-arm-ride/ (with video) Awesome. photo
nannerdw Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Wow, this is impressive! I don't think I would ride it, though. That guy's head came dangerously close to the ground
AlmereStars Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 omg :O that guy almost bashed his head (and feet, and arms and well.. almost everything) I wouldn't be on that for a million!
thomas2 Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Haha that has to go wrong one day Cool concept though
bgwfreak Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Looks like something they'd make you ride if you were late for work.
Crazy4Coasters! Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 doesn't legoland have a "coaster" like this???
coaster-inc Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 yeah, thats the point, hes made the hope you dont die version for those that wither want to see if they are still alive...... or want to die trying...
VegasCoaster Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Is the link not working for anyone else? It seems like work has been slow at whatever factory this is. I don't know that I would trust something like that just going off the picture.
jerryd Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Original link seems to be bad.. Being it was hosted on Google.de you can get it here.. http://video.google.de/videoplay?docid=-7472502197006303244 There are some other videos of this attraction there too Another link that has been posted http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/29/robotic-arm-rides-5-cents/ Jerry
itsme102 Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 WOW I enjoy my share of thrills but that's just way too much. I see brain damage and/or death written all over this thing. I wouldn't go anywhere near that.
rbpia Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 WOW I enjoy my share of thrills but that's just way too much.I see brain damage and/or death written all over this thing. I wouldn't go anywhere near that. And how is this different than any Vekoma? Slamming your head into the cement on this thing couldn't be any worse than the backwards trip on a Boomerang. Ron "I hate the offseason. I'd even ride a headsmasher right now if I could." Patton
itsme102 Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Well the boomerangs I've been on haven't been that bad. Even SLC's haven't really hurt me much. I guess I should consider myself lucky. I still will never go near this thing.
VegasCoaster Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 The fact that the little strap from the 5 point harness can touch the ground at times would make me think I'm never going to get on that. I'll take the no death, already proven Robocoaster, thanks very much.
Scaparri Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Well, though the whole head-is-inches-from-the-ground thing is considerably frightening, the program itself doesn't strike me as being any worse than the top program on the actual robo coasters.
Gnome Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 ^ I don't think the pads would do you much good with this thing. His skull would probably have a large dent in it had that thing gone another 2 - 3 inches lower.
DATman Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 You realize that anyone can just buy one of these if they are rich enough. Go look at their site...
the sound Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Wow! Looks really cool. I've ridden a Robo Coaster, and i love them, but it was much higher off the ground. I would be actually quite worried about the concrete ground.
Satoshi Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 i was just worried about home-made robo ride might crash into that ground but the whole ride looks like future themed cool one!
