AllenA07 Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 I just finshed up Uncharted 2 (I can't wait for Uncharted 3!!!) and am now getting ready to start on Infamous. Yeah, I know I'm behind on games, but I'm having fun catching up!
Maximo37 Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Lost in Shadow (Wii) - Such a great game... its ambiance reminds me of Ico (PS2)... gameplay and puzzles is a bit like the Wii version of A Boy and His Blob (not the NES version)... the swordplay and platforming reminds me of classic (NES) Castlevania's... the blend of the 3 titles makes for one awesome game!... I had a tough time tracking down a copy of the game in Tampa and Orlando... but glad I was persitent... it was well worth it... Â Udraw Studio (Wii) - I'm having a good time with this little art program for the Wii... I was really hoping for a Mario Paint-ish (SNES) style game... and although this is quite a bit different, its still very well done (once you get used to it...)... I'm a terrible artist... but loved Mario Paint and am enjoying this too...
A.J. Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Got my old N64 working again after like, 10 years. Getting my Super Mario 64 on.
phantomfan93 Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 ^ Do you have Pokemon Stadium out with it????
A.J. Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Let's see here... Â I have Super Mario 64, Super Smash Bros, MarioKart 64, both Zeldas, both Pokemon Stadiums (I don't have the old Game Boy games anymore so they're kind of dead weight ), and all three Mario Parties.
ANJLOVER14 Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 ^ I love my 64, it still holds up today, for me, at least. Â Lately, I've been addicted to Goldeneye 007. Even though the online is really glitchy, I still love playing it, and the single player is amazing!!
makerdevin Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 My favourite video games are. 1. Castlevania SOTN 2.Super Mario 3 3. RE 2 4. Silent Hill 5. RE 4
onewheeled999 Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Finally, I'm getting to the good stuff in DJ Hero 2. Translation: Finally, I'm getting to the stupidly difficult, ridiculously complicated final songs on Expert difficulty in DJ Hero 2. Â This is the song I can't stop playing right now. Â
Erik Johnson Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Any other TPR members have FX Pinball 2 for the Xbox360? It is simply amazing, especially the physics of the game. Also, it is really satisfying to send a message to another friend when you beat their score.
Erik Johnson Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 I forgot that I have also been playing Rock Band 3. The graphics are much better than the previous ones, but I'm not sure I like some of the other changes they've implemented.   So what is your gamer tag? We have a few TPR members who play from time to time.
phantomfan93 Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Any Nintendo fans see this yet? http://cgi.ebay.com/EXTREMELY-RARE-1989-ZELDA-DINNERWARE-SET-/170587543048?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27b7cf5608 Wanna fork over $15,000-$100000?
mcjaco Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Finished Arkham Asylum last night. Great game. The ending was so-so. But over all the story was very good, and it played well, with the exception of some camera issues in certain areas. Looking forward to the sequel. Â Now it's off to either Lego Indiana Jones, or Splinter Cell Conviction......
PSiRockin Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Any Nintendo fans see this yet?http://cgi.ebay.com/EXTREMELY-RARE-1989-ZELDA-DINNERWARE-SET-/170587543048?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27b7cf5608 Wanna fork over $15,000-$100000? So nerdy. I want it.
Homer Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Finished Arkham Asylum last night. Great game. The ending was so-so. But over all the story was very good, and it played well, with the exception of some camera issues in certain areas. Looking forward to the sequel. Now it's off to either Lego Indiana Jones, or Splinter Cell Conviction...... I agree Arkham Asylum is one of the few rare licensed games that are GOOD. Sure the combat is a little getting used to, but its amazing overall.  Finished Assassin's Creed 1 recently. The storyline of that game is a giant WTF. The game is fun but gets repetitive later on and has a few bugs (namely when you're leaping across rooftops being chased is when the bugs get irritating), but worth a playthrough as well.
FeelTheFORCE Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 The more I play Gran Turismo 5, the more I can't put it down. I'm up to level 16 in A-Spec now (thanks to the VW Golf Seasonal Event) and just started with B-Spec. I really like the photo mode with premium cars also, they turn out really well! Here's one of the pics I took of my Fairlady.
Maximo37 Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Sonic Colors (Wii) - Just picked it up as a little after Christmas gift... And what a fantastic game!!!! This is the first time since Sonic 2 on the Genesis where I'm actually enjoying a Sonic title again (never really liked 3 nor Knuckles)... and nevermind the other 3D Sonics... they weren't very good... Sonic Colors ROCKS!!!
Ace Of Spades Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Just beat Guitar Hero: Smash Hits. Â Which means I beat "Through the Fire and Flames". Â On Hard. Â Happiest day of my life? Â Hell yes.
onewheeled999 Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Finally, I finished all the loyalty missions in Mass Effect 2, successfully gaining the loyalty of every single crew member, even though I'm playing a Renegade character. Â Unfortunately, though, I had to repeat Thane's mission once, since you had to (SPOILER)do the Paragon interruption where you distract Thane's son and knock the gun out of his hand so the father and son can confront each other peacefully (END SPOILER), which I had no idea I needed to do in order to gain his loyalty. Â Overall, though, the missions were great fun. Jacob and Miranda definitely had the weakest, just straight-up combat and then a weak conclusion (Especially Jacob. That was just boring all-around). I'm never gonna forget Jack and Samara's missions...
Angry_Gumball Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Fighting the 3rd boss on DK Returns. Let's not ask how many times I have died so far! This game will kick your butt! Â Yay, LittleBigPlanet 2 comes out tomorrow, then I'm off to making some bizarre games, levels, and so on.
Maximo37 Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 ^^^ In regards to Donkey Kong Country Returns: I've made it up to the 6th world... and believe me... it wasn't easy... blood, sweat and tears (no kidding, really...)... beautiful game... but it's DAMN tough!!!... I'm considering starting over, since I haven't played for many weeks... I'm in no rush though... Â Still fiddling with Sonic Colors (on my second go through), which ROCKS!!! as well as Lost in Shadow (which ALSO rocks!)... throw Super Mario All Stars Anniversary Edition in for good measure... Â Considering getting Mario Sports Mix... Â Certainly getting Conduit 2 (which was delayed 'til March in the US)...
onewheeled999 Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 So I need to make a decision for my next gaming purchase, and would like some input from the community here: Â I understand that they're completely different games, and really shouldn't be compared, but which should I buy: Halo Reach, or Gears of War Trilogy (containing Gears 1+2 with 2's expansion, the package will be out in a couple months, I believe)? Â I'm just looking for a shooter that I really don't need to think about to enjoy. I don't care about story, I don't care about graphics, I don't care about deep meaning, all I want is some dumb fun online and off. So can anybody help me decide?
Ace Of Spades Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 ^I'd personally recommend Bad Company 2! It's cheap now, and it's not like other shooters where there's only one or two ways to win, in this one there's tons of fun niches to fill! I love it, way more so than any other shooter franchise!
Carnage Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 I'm just looking for a shooter that I really don't need to think about to enjoy. I don't care about story, I don't care about graphics, I don't care about deep meaning, all I want is some dumb fun online and off. So can anybody help me decide? Â If you're just looking to play single player, Gears would be a good option. Â If you want to play multiplayer online, then get Reach. Gears multiplayer is awful. Horde mode is fun if you have friends, but online matchmaking is pretty bad. Or at least it was, I haven't attempted to play it in quite some time.
Bolliger&Mabillard Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 I've finally sat down and played Arkham Asylum, and all I have to say is WOW. This game was beautifully written and is by far the best Batman game I've played. Of course they're wasnt much competition in the genre, but still. If you are a fan of the Batman franchise as a whole, it's a great game
KrakenKing Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 I'm just looking for a shooter that I really don't need to think about to enjoy. I don't care about story, I don't care about graphics, I don't care about deep meaning, all I want is some dumb fun online and off. So can anybody help me decide? Â Any Call of Duty game. Games are always just Gun-and-run. No tact involved. Â If you want a game where you actually have to cooperate and use tactics to win, as mentioned above, Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Â CoD is fun for about a week... or less, which is the case with me and CoD:MW2... popped that game in once, played... game was awful. Went back to Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and still play to this day. Â Battlefield > CoD
