If it is an aquatrax, they better have like 10 boats on the track at once or else the line is going to go real slow. Either that or have 3 or 4 boats hooked together to make a train, but that might not be as fun.

yeah lookin good, it might really be a dual launch which would kick A$$. I always thought itd be cool if a coaster launched into a giant loop or immelman, maybe this coaster will have that feature?

...but really what is that odd lookin track for on the straight away, does it have something to do with launch mechanics?

There's only one thing I know for sure now: they are working fast!

Maybe we are going to see some theming too!!!

Cedar Fair and theming just don't sound right together.

^ Could for kicker wheels to move the train into place. Or could be for something else.

I'm actually thinking those higher supports are looking more and more like heartline roll supports. Just doesn't make sense to have another launch/brake section there.

It would make more sense to have this launch going under the heartline rolls, with a lift hill overtop all of that.

It would definetly look interesting if that is indeed how it works.

You are right, but I think that they are up for the challenge. Cedar Point hasn't had much success with theming. For example, Dragster's train was a mess and Disaster Transport is...well...disastrous. Hopefully, Project 2007 will have a better theme than DT. On a different note, I agree with Carnage with the heartline roll support and I like the JelloTrax idea much better than Aquatrax.

^^Grammar, grammar, GRAMMAR!!!!!!!!

And you're all wrong. It WILL be an Intamin Jello Trax, instead of aqua, the trains will splash into a large pond filled with strawberry kiwi jello.

Thats the most way off theory yet. They would still use the Aqua Trax trains for that. Duh.

But ya, I do see what you are saying is launch track, but just because it is straight does not mean it is launch track does it?

^ What else could a gradually rising section of track nearly the length of the entire site be?

Not too mentionthat it goes right by a building that is looking exactly like Wicked Twisters electrical building.

I think it's pretty safe to assume that they're laying launching track.

I'm pretty sure there is a way to have sooo many barrel-rolls is a row that these will look like straight track from a distance.

I can't imagine that section of track not being for a launch as well.

I'm curious about the building though. Aren't most electrical buildings fire proof? Isn't WT's building a combination of concrete and brick?

Posted

^Except for the fact that it is triangular, does not have any type of rail for a catch car, and doesn't look like LIM/LSM's could attatch to it......

^ It's impossible to tell from the webcam if those track sections have the LIM mounting plates on them.

However there are some pictures from yesterday on PB that show at least the first section after the turn having LIM mounting plates.

Hey maybe like TTD which is the worlds fasted drive through Mcdonalds they will serve Moose trax ice cream from the launch building you pull up slowly get it on the go and zoom off happier than a bus full 3 year olds going to Walt Disney World for the first time.
