^ I'd be surprised if the prices fluctuated mid-season. It's certainly not something I've seen before. Obviously they will have a variety of different offers over the year depending in demand etc but I wouldn't have thought the actual gate price would change.

 

They usually raise the prices this time of year so that they can market next year as "same prices as last year" - instead of raising them in the offseason. And Ouimet has said they will be doing a lot more revenue management in the future so I expect more things to happen like this.

I wonder if CF will ever install some kind of new up-to-date observation tower in the future?

I suppose its possible, but with WindSeeker out there right now, I don't know if they really need an observation tower immediately. Besides, I haven't heard of any being installed recently - they do still make them, right?

^ The only observation tower I know of is 500 ft tower being built at the the State Fair of Texas/ Summer Park. Other that I dont know of any other tower as of the last 6 years or more

^^Hahahaha! Love it. I really enjoyed the video of Space Spiral smashing to the ground. Of course it was sad. If they have the need for a new one, I'm sure they will buy one. Wasn't that one of the oldest ones around?

 

I ran across this plaque recently, so figured I would share it. How long did the park have these up? I have a picture of one for each ride somewhere. Sad to see it go, too (of course.) We always called it Disaster Disco.

Wow.... Amazing how fast they cleaned that up. I do wonder if Space Spirals foundation would be used as part of the entrance to Gate Keeper. If they do I would love to see something like Leviathans entry plaza.

^ While that would be cool - its probably a lot more difficult from a civil planning / architectural standpoint than its worth. They might have some sort of mention or reference in the area to it though!

^ You know, I wonder how deep that footer is, it could be too deep for getting rid of it to be worth it.

If that's the case, they'll probably simply grade it off to ground level and pave over the rest of it, leaving it underground and out of the way.
