Guy T. Koepp
IMHO I think they'll use that old food court building on the Goliath side for the que. It was never really that crowded and it would be much better served as a themed entrance as well as a giftshop/ exit. Again, use an existing building, retheme it, save money. I like the way 6F is thinking on this ride.
Jhcbiinoc
I have said for years that this would be the perfect option for SFMM to build an Extreme drop ride, and to me this looks as extreme as it gets. This will make two rides I will be terrified of riding at next year's West Coast Bash-this one and Windseeker at KBF have the potential to truly frighten me (I still cannot look down on Supreme Scream!) xmichellex
I started laughing while watching the videos for this... it just looks that crazy and ridiculous... Â Must.Go.To.Magic.Mountain.

The Guest Necessity Center is too much in front of the hill to help with the entrance, so it will probably stay. They'll want the entrance to be on that side so it's in the same plaza at the DC Universe.
RoCo
SICK! Â It may kill me, but I'm riding this. At least once. Holy freaking Toledo.
mr. cockblock
I think this will be slighty better then Freefall.
JakeM
If everyone will look on google earth, there is already an existing path to the new ride. Follow the path towards colossus and Scream and its right before the restaurant on the right. Its partly paved and already cleared for an entrance queue and exit. jjune4991
That thing looks insanely scary. Good luck to those in Cali who will be trying this thing in Spring!
Plasmasonic
I am just so excited for this ride... Did you guys notice how FAST it goes up to the top in the video?
Top Thrill Dragster
Since a dark ride will probably never come to SFMM, I hope that they keep most of the arcade building and place the majority of the queue inside. SFMM needs more air conditioned environments. Â Â Â Also, any idea when Deja Vu's last day of operation is? I'm guessing this coming Monday? TopThrill182
I'd also like to know when Deja Vu's final day of operation will be. Hoping it still has a few weekends left!
Guy T. Koepp
I want to say I remember it being October. But I'm parboiling wrong.
ernierocker
October is correct according to the L.A. times artice:  Deja Vu is expected to close in October, meaning Magic Mountain will have held the uncontested coaster crown for a mere four months.  P.S. Sorry for the confusement for those that saw my original link. Had too many threads open at once and had the wrong Six Flags park. RAWKIN_coaster38
When there was all the discussion about drop towers before I was like, "Yeah... probably not going to make the trip just for a drop tower!" But this looks awesome, I'm nervous just looking at it. And putting it on the side of S:EFK? Brilliant! That's going to be a very intense drop ride. the ghost
What are the chances this will be open for bash? It said Spring and I'd love to give this a try considering thats the next time I plan on going to SFMM it would be AWESOME to have a ride on this, gl, and Road Runner express so I can whore. This looks AWESOME though!
TJ27
Ah I really hope its open for WCB drop towers are built pretty fast and because the tower is already there it shouldn't take that long for it to open. The video says spring 2012 so hopefully that means March
Six Flags Enthuseast
I'm certainly glad to hear about this! I remember talking about a drop tower addition to SF:EK's structure, and I think it's a good idea! Sadly, this'll take the record away from ToT, but it'll at least bring business to SFMM. raptor6
Wow! Very impressive! I really to check this out! Â I love drop towers and I just added this ride to my theme park ride bucket list! MayTheGForceBeWithYou
WOW! I remember thinking it would be a great idea for Magic Mountain to make a drop ride off Superman in the style of Giant Drop at Dreamworld. Funny that they announce it now! mtavenger55
I think this is the coolest Six Flags announcement this year! I've always wanted SFMM to build a drop tower on Superman & now they are finally doing it
harper83087
^I have to agree, CA is really stealing the show this year. As cool as the wing rider at SFGAm looks, the drop tower and sky coaster are what caught my eye.
