  1. The park and corporate are well aware the park is dead and going to be dead for awhile. After so many years of being "seasonal", it will take awhile to get people to start coming. Also, the main reason to go full time was they can start being considered a tourist destination for out of towners and can be included in tourism bureaus advertising and group packages. They're looking to start banking off the foreign tourists who visit Southern California and fill up Disneyland and Universal on a daily basis. But it's going to take some time to get there so enjoy the small crowds while they last.
  2. I really hope it's not the world's tallest sky screamer. I hate those rides. A couple other flats including one of those wonder woman giant discs and that penguin water flat that SFDK has would be great.
  3. Learned something new yesterday. It seems there is a special funnel cake that comes with a TON of mini M&Ms, chocolate syrup and whipped cream that can be used as a snack on the dining pass. I was shocked it was just a snack and not a lunch/dinner since the funnel cakes are so popular (and expensive). The guy behind the register told us they just added it to the dining pass and it's kind of a secret right now since this item isn't even on the menu board. Cool treat from the park, thanks SFMM!
  4. I believe someone asked about the yellow sport bottles. You can purchase them as Twisted Sandwiches while supplies last for $29. Saw them there yesterday.
  5. We went Thursday and was told by an employee at the entrance to just walk up the fast lane entrance if we wanted to ride without the VR. We walked all the way up there only to be told by another employee that we had to wait in the 2 hour line regardless if we wanted VR or not. I told him it was insane since they kept sending each train out with the front row empty but he kept telling me that there are people in the regular line that also don't want to ride with the VR. It's not my fault that they're willing to wait 2 hours when they shouldn't have to. Needless to say, we had to walk back down. On a side note, I understand why they have the VR. If they didn't, no one would be riding Rev and it would be walk on everday.
  6. My wife and I tried to go by the park Saturday night only to find the parking had not only filled the regular lot but also the whole gravel lot and was going into the backside of Feedmill in a lot I didn't even think the park owned. I knew they owned the land across Feedmill along the long side of the parking lot against the wash but didn't realize they were using the land that was at the very end of the parking lot next to some old abandoned house out there. It's bad enough that the buses don't even go to the gravel lot but to make people park even farther than that is crazy. That is probably over a mile walk to the front gate. Needless to say, we turned around and went home.
  7. Once you load the dining pass on your card at the park, bring it to any stand that sells the bottle. They will scan your pass and give you the bottle.
  8. When I chose to cancel, it asked if I would entertain a offer to keep my membership. I said yes. The first offer was the $5.99 one which I declined and then it came up with the 2nd and final offer of $3.99. The options were to accept this offer, see first offer or something like "enough already, cancel my membership." I choose to accept. One note, if you have a dining pass on your current membership, you will lose it if you accept the offer. I didn't care due to the fact that I was just going to buy the new 2017 one in the flash sale anyway.
  9. I've had a membership as well since 2013 and was paying $6.75/month per pass for all three of my family's passes. Since the new flash deal was cheaper at $6.25/month, I went in the membership portal to cancel them. They provided one offer to lower it to $5.99/month per pass, I declined that so it came back with a 2nd offer of $3.99/month per pass which I quickly accepted. Now I'm only paying $48/year for my gold passes (including 2 parks and season parking) memberships. Woo hoo! Worth a shot for anyone who has a membership right now. You can try cancelling and if you don't receive the offers, you can cancel the process and choose to keep your current membership.
  10. I'm a big collector of the Disneyland Resort guide maps. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. I have a TON of the recent stuff to trade. I'm mainly looking for maps from the 1994-2002 range when they did the weekly guide maps. I'm into it so much, I made a blog for Disneyland Resort guide map collectors. I don't make any money off it, just looking to connect to other collectors. Check it out: https://disneylandmaps.wordpress.com/ You can see mostly all the covers from opening until now and I'm working on getting scans of the insides uploaded as well. Here are a list of the maps I'm missing: https://disneylandmaps.wordpress.com/maps-im-missing-please-help/ I'm also looking for Six Flags Magic Mountain maps from the 70s, 80s, and early 90s. Have a bunch of their recent ones for trade as well.
  11. Mainly for the lazy river and wave pool. They do not provide tubes for those attractions.
  12. I got it! I did find it interesting that all the questions were in regards to a roller coaster and not the league dark ride. It seemed to be between Joker, Wonder Woman or Harley Quinn themed coaster. It also kept referencing a very tall coaster.
  13. I feel that Revolution needed the VR to attract a crowd. I doubt any of the GP would be running to the park because Revolution received new trains and paint. If they didn't add the VR, I could bet that Revolution would have been back to a small 10 minute wait like it normally always had within weeks of opening
  14. I also rode Revolution on Saturday and it exceeded my expectations. I loved how, while riding, you could hear everyone telling the person they were riding with to look at different stuff around them. Also, hands down, the best part was everyone gets so engrossed in the VR that they forget where the loop is in the ride. So, all of a sudden you hear people talking and then an immediate surprise gasp/grown as the train goes through the loop. This is definitely a ride you would want to ride more than once because I'm sure there is stuff missed while riding. Bad part was it broke down twice while waiting. What should have only been a 10 minute wait turned into almost an hour because the train keep stopping at the first breaks coming into the station which caused them to reset everything and cycle the train several times. Oh, side note, I don't think it has been mentioned on here but they do not allow VR in front row. I believe it has something to do with the sticker posted on the back of each headrest that the VR units need to sync to not being able to be available in the front row.
  15. Here are all the pins that SFMM has released so far along with the lanyard and special pins that only come with the lanyard. The cars on each of the roller coaster pins move which is a cool feature. I hope they don't go too crazy with these or this may end up being an expensive collection. lol Lanyard Set Special Lanyard Pins Old School Pin with old Logo Twisted Colossus Tatsu Viper X2 Goliath The New Revolution Twisted Colossus - Dueling Full Throttle
  16. Can anyone please share the link to this deal? Maybe contact six flags and ask if you can possibly get in on the deal too? I called the park and they stated it was only sent out to certain pass holders but they did say to just get the link from one of those emails and anyone can purchase the offer. Six Flags is not advanced enough to have coupon codes be assigned to certain people. lol Anyone care to share? Yes, there is a Six Flags app that you can upload your season pass to and access the available discounts for season pass holders. It also shows ride wait times, etc. I have this app and I still didn't get the email so I don't think it's associated with that.
  17. Doubtful. Universal will have tons of pass holders blacked out. I thought Universal lifted all the black out days in February?
  18. Hours show 10:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. on their website. They probably said 10:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. because those are the hours currently until Holiday in the Park starts. Friday, November 27 10:30am to 8:00pm Saturday, November 28 10:30am to 8:00pm Sunday, November 29 10:30am to 8:00pm Saturday, December 5 10:30am to 8:00pm Sunday, December 6 10:30am to 8:00pm Saturday, December 12 10:30am to 8:00pm Sunday, December 13 10:30am to 8:00pm Saturday, December 19 10:30am to 8:00pm Sunday, December 20 10:30am to 8:00pm Monday, December 21 10:30am to 8:00pm Tuesday, December 22 10:30am to 8:00pm Wednesday, December 23 10:30am to 8:00pm Thursday, December 24 10:30am to 8:00pm Saturday, December 26 10:30am to 8:00pm Sunday, December 27 10:30am to 8:00pm Monday, December 28 10:30am to 8:00pm Tuesday, December 29 10:30am to 8:00pm Wednesday, December 30 10:30am to 8:00pm Thursday, December 31 10:30am to 8:00pm
  19. Perhaps they just kept saying this answer to keep the coaster enthusiasts quiet. It's not like they told the press or said on the news that was the reason why they didn't remove the OTSR. They probably have had it planned for years to change the trains on the 40th Anniversary of the ride but used that excuse to not give away the surprise for 2016. Also, I don't believe they could have just removed the OTSR restraints because the existing lapbars were not very protective. Also, didn't they add the OTSRs because people were able to wiggle their way out of those old lapbars and were standing on portions of the ride? Now that there are these newly designed lapbars with the shin guards, they can finally remove all the old restraints and just add these new ones.
  20. The park website shows 1:00 AM On Friday and Saturdays and 11:00 PM on Sundays https://www.sixflags.com/magicmountain/plan-your-visit/park-operating-schedule
