CPmaverick
Hello Magic Mountain people, Â I have a quick question, Does anyone know if Wi-Fi is available in the Internet Cafe? If so, is it free, or how much does it cost? Â Thanks! When I was at Six Flags Great Adventure in there Cyber Cafe, the Wi-Fi was free but every site besides the Six Flags site was incredibly slow. Â Oh ok, Yeah I was just wondering if I could run in there and use my ipod touch for a couple of minutes and then be done
andre8
Maybe when I go I should bring my iPod instead of going tothe Cyber Cafe.
coasterking2981
Perhaps. But the Cyper Cafe is a nice place to relax for a few minutes as you plan out the rest of your day and such.
austinlee
Just curious. Have any of you ate at Longhorn's BBQ yet? If you have, was it good and do they give the 25% Xtreme Play Pass discount? I thought it smelled good and I'm thinking about trying it on my next visit, but only if they give the discount. Â Also, have any of you been to the park on a weekday the week before Memorial Day? I have gone the week after Memorial Day in 08 and 09 so that X2 and Terminator would be open and the park was relatively crowded. Not the most crowded I have seen but much more crowded than when I have visited in early May and had walk ons to most rides. With no new ride which I care about opening this year I am curious about how much lighter the crowds might be if I go the week before the holiday instead of the week after. I think many colleges get out in late May but I don't know exactly when.
atem122
^Longhorn's BBQ is actually pretty good. I had these barbeque chicken sandwiches there back in December, and while they weren't balls out amazing, they're damn good for amusement park food. I don't know about the Xtreme pass discount though.
austinlee
Thanks. I usually eat at Panda Express when I go there since most of the "normal" park food is terrible. Longhorn's BBQ seemed like another decent option. I can always ask about the discount in person if I need to.
6flagsbrad
I remember we went in the BBQ place when we visited the park nov. 1, and I think it was a bit expensive. It looked very good though. I still can't believe I haven't eaten at the Panda Express yet, we usually eat at the food court across from Gold rusher.
XII
Just curious. Have any of you ate at Longhorn's BBQ yet? If you have, was it good and do they give the 25% Xtreme Play Pass discount? Unfortunately, Longhorn's BBQ does not give the 25% Extreme Play Pass discount. But it is the best food at SFMM, so it's still worth going to. ebl
I think the 25% Xtreme Pass discount is good at all major restaurants in the park, but not any carts or vending machines. Johnny Rocket's gives the discount, as does Katy's Kettle. Haven't tried Panda or Longhorn's, but I would guess they would honor it as well. Â EDIT: Just read ^'s post. Interesting that Longhorn's doesn't honor the Xtreme Pass. Makes me wonder if Mooseburger Lodge does... Â Eric
austinlee
^^ Thank you for letting me know. I am surprised they don't give the discount since every other restaurant I have eaten at has given me the discount. Â ^ You're right about the carts and vending machines. I have also been able to get the discount at convenience shops and the Guest Neccessity Center. Mooseburger Lodge and Panda Express both give the discount. Papa John's does too, but I have never ate there since the first time I tried it since the pizza is very bland. I do use the discount to buy sodas there fairly often though. I usually eat at Panda Express because, with the discount, you can get a two item combo with a large soda for $8.61 plus tax. It is the best deal I have found for a quality large meal, drink included, at a pretty decent price which is actually not much higher than what it would cost at a Panda Express outside the park. At KBF, the combo is $11.99 and the drink is not included.

PeoplemoverMatt
Has anyone gone to Guest Relations and requested a list of food/merch locations that honor the Xtreme Pass discount?
Jhcbiinoc
Interesting that Longhorn's doesn't honor the Xtreme Pass. Makes me wonder if Mooseburger Lodge does... Eric  Last time I checked, Mooseburger Lodge did.  I looked at Longhorn's last time I was at the park, but the only reason I didn't eat there is that I didn't want any of the sides they offered and all the options came with a side.  According to the menu on the website for the actual Longhorn's BBQ Restaurant in Castaic (longhornsbbq.com/menu.html), they offer more variety there.....if they had the option of the Bacon Mac And Cheese at the SFMM location as one of the sides, I would definitely eat there! Jew
Has anyone gone to Guest Relations and requested a list of food/merch locations that honor the Xtreme Pass discount? Â The burden shouldn't be on the guest to find out where their discount is good. That information should come with the pass.
ebl
The park could always put a special logo at the entrance to venues that honor the pass. Â Eric
austinlee
^ thanks for letting me know about that deal at panda, now i know where to eat. I love the orange chicken  You're welcome. I love the orange chicken too. I go to Panda Express outside the park fairly regularly anyway. With that good price and the fact that I really like it anyway, it's a very easy decision to eat there when I go to the park. With the discount the combo is only about $1.00 more than it is at a normal location. I always get the orange chicken/mandarin chicken combo at the park.  From my own experience and the information posted here it seems that every major restaurant gives the discount except Longhorn's BBQ. The only food locations which don't give the discount are carts, vending machines and the smaller food stands. Every merchandise location I have shopped at has given me the discount too. AnEscapeArtist
Thanks for the Panda Express advice Austin! I never knew that and will probably now consider using my discount for Panda on my next visit to the park! Â The park could always put a special logo at the entrance to venues that honor the pass. Â The only disadvantage to this is that you could walk all the way across the park and end up not being able to recieve the discount because you thought the location honored the pass when it didn't. That and the park doesn't need any more tacky looking signs pinned up all over the park that look ugly 6 months after installing them (cause we've all seen plenty of those already). Â The burden shouldn't be on the guest to find out where their discount is good. That information should come with the pass. Â Oh you're definitely right! But lets be realistic here, we're talking about Six Flags Perhaps the easiest solution would be providing the list on the park map. "Stores that offer discounts to Xtreme Playpass Holders," and they could point out the locations on the map. I've had an Xtreme Pass several years and the use of the discount at stores/food locations is so spurratic that I often end up not even bothering to get my 25% off. c0sterfreek
Hey guys, just checking on the weather in Valencia, were planning on coming still this weekened (saturday) and literally the weather is showing either rain off and on the whole day or NO rain at all. What do you guys think? Still worth coming up to?  Thanks for your fast imput the first time  Chris
SharkTums
^The weather people are terrible, and you can't trust them. Along those same lines though we had someone a week or two ago that called SFMM GR on Friday to confirm the park would be opening on Saturday, was told yes, and then the park didn't open. It looks like a repeat of that where it's going to rain a lot Friday night, then end Saturday morning, but the damage will be done. People won't come to the park because it just rained and will still look iffy out and it could close. Â So I'm sorry to say, but you're kind of in a bad spot. I would wait till the last minute to try and decide what to do.
ebl
^^^ Then maybe a logo on the park map for restaurants/gift shops where the discount is honored would be a good idea. Â Eric
