Sir Clinksalot
I was going to go up to FF on Saturday to meet some friends but I just couldn't get motivated enough to get my ass off the couch as I was enjoying watching scary movies. Not even the chance to see awesome friends and laugh at YOLOcoaster could have gotten me up after I heard about the crowds.

dylanreich
I'm excited to see more construction pics soon on the Full Throttle. This is because I'm more excited about the shortening of other lines in the park than the Full Throttle itself though.

Domm
Was considering doing a road trip down to SFMM Sat November 10th and then possibly Knotts Sunday November 11th. Â Would most rides be open for that date? Any idea of crowds? The calender says it's a 10:30-8pm day...

The calender says it's a 10:30-8pm day...  Calender does show 10:30am but looks like a flyer shows 9am for that date.  I tried the code for discounted tickets but get same error message that I was getting while buying maze passes the past couple weeks during freight fest. Sir Clinksalot
Nov. 10th is Key Club day, avoid SFMM at ALL COSTS!!!  http://cnhkeyclub.org/events/fall-rally  I'd do Knott's on the 10th, SFMM on the 11th in that case.

Avoid at all costs is right! Key Club day up at SFDK was 10/27 and probably set a record, I can't remember ever hearing of it being this busy before: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1240187#p1240187  I think they really should in the future make the Key Club events a private party, it's just traumatizing to the poor GP that wanders in unaware. That's also probably why there was a time discrepancy..they most likely extended the hours due to KC, they did the same think at SFDK.
Voxelmatic
What's the filter? Full Throttle to YOLOcoaster? Â EDIT: Great Scott, it works!
simaticable
This is probably a stupid question, but what is Key Club Day? Â What's the filter? YOLOcoaster to YOLOcoaster? The only coaster in the world to have YOLO as part of its advertising.

Voxelmatic
The only coaster in the world to have YOLO as part of its advertising. At the only park in the world that would use YOLO as a part of its promotion for half of a coaster.

Thanks for the heads up. After reading the SFDK post about their Key Club day it sounds like a sh*t show. Very happy to have asked.  Any other weekends coming up that you guys would recommend for a Saturday visit?
Sir Clinksalot
We made the mistake of going on Key Club day last year and it was probably one of the more miserable days at the park. There was a particular reason we stayed longer than we normally would have been but I can't think of it at the moment. I think we ended up leaving and having lunch at Lazy Dog or something. AllenA07
I had to run sound at the park for key club day one year. Ranks as one of the worst days I had during my year working there!
Manic Monte
^^That reminded me that I never posted my review on Lex LutIt's . Basically, Lex Luthor has become my favorite ride in the park. I would recommend going there first as I was the 1st person on the ride. The drop is amazing and is very long. Lap bars on drop tower: Spectacular. Â I agree. I think LL is the best non coaster ride in the whole chain.
bostonlva
(11/1/12) I’m hearing an odd rumor that Six Flags Magic Mountian may try their hand at hosting an ElecTRONica style night party atmosphere event at the park in 2013, centered around entrance area of the new Full Throttle coaster. Anyone else heard a peep about this?-screamscape   Anyone been to one of these?
XYZ
I'm thinking that a Six Flags-runned night party will just be filled with horrible music and crazy guests. I'm not a fan of this at all. Why can't they just throw a Top Scan or something in that area.
theonetheonlyJT
^ It depends on what artist is playing or how good the DJ is, but it sounds like a cool idea (minus the crazy guests). It would be cool if Deadmau5 did a show at SFMM.

skydye
Well it has been a while since the last riot and stabbing! Agreed. I can't see them getting any big name acts yet. It may still be a couple of years away.
VTown661
Well it has been a while since the last riot and stabbing! Agreed. I can't see them getting any big name acts yet. It may still be a couple of years away.  This past summer the Street Drum Corps were doing perhaps 6 shows a day at SFMM and pretty much went unnoticed.  All they won last year was the Drummies Award, which celebrates the world’s leading drummers and percussionists of all styles, where they beat out a little group that they had tied with the prior year by the name of The Blue Man Group!  The Street Drum Corps did preform at many shows over the year such as Electric Daisy and Coachella so look for them to perhaps take over next summer the Moments Theater where My Generation has been for some time now. skydye
^ Magic Mountain did a bad job of advertising them. I never knew anything about where they played or them even playing there. But I was talking about major acts. Six Flags had a concert series that played most of there parks this summer. It didn't play Magic Mountain because of the problem Magic mountain had with their riot in the past.
bostonlva
Full throttle update http://www.thecoasterguy.com/index.php/2012/11/03/mini-full-throttle-construction-update-for-03-nov-2012/ Â Â things I found interesting Lots of closed buildings (Freshers Lemonade, WB kids zone, WTFried, Palace Games) seems like they really are making a large new area... theonetheonlyJT
They should just cover that side of the mountain and the new area with chrome (you know future themeing) and for the rest of the park they should, wait for it ........... pave SFMM
