SFMM stated on Facebook that there would be no delay, but the stated opening was "Spring" so thats a big window.

Sure, let's say that. Only one train was cycling and one was in pieces. If there is a third train it isn't anywhere visible.

^Yeah, that's the part donor train on the storage track. It hasn't moved from that spot in years. Since they had to remove the damaged train I'm guessing they took the whole thing backstage and won't put any of it back on track until it's ready to return to service.

Yeah, for years they have been running two trains with the third sitting on transfer being cannibalized for parts. I never like seeing that, but they haven't needed three simultaneous trains on a regular basis for many years. The damaged train I assumed would be completely removed from the area until it was repaired. I wonder how much of the parts train will be left.

^ no idea. But I was wondering if that old Youtube video that was pulled down a few months before the TC announcement has resurfaced anywhere. I was always curious to see how close that rendering was to the final 'official' product.

Same as any other day at the park. Haunts are upcharge, though, because Six Flags.

You are correct. My friend and I got them last October. There's the wristband you get for the mazes itself, but then if you want front-of-the-line privileges, it's a separate wristband. The wristband was actually very helpful for a few of the mazes.

It varied based on the day and if you were a season pass holder. I called MM to inquire about pricing and they said it would be up soon.

Thanks everyone. Maggiekat and I are planning three trips from Vegas to LA to visit all three major haunts and therefore budget and planning are a must. We are doing six flags the first weekend in oct, Knotts on the weekend after the 15th, and universal on the 1st of nov.

 

Any advice for magic mountain. We are addicted to fast passes. So will probably get everything. LOL

^ Start with Total Darkness, that tends to fill up pretty quick (plus they open a bit earlier than the other mazes) and go counter clockwise from there. I tried that plan last year with 3 buds and we finished all mazes within the hour. I loved Fright Fest last year and I can't wait to go this year. Have fun!

I doubt this will happen this year--seeing as how there's construction going on--But, does anyone expect the huge spider to make a comeback on Twisted Colossus for FF?

^^ I bought the regular wristbands and we even had time to do some mazes a second time before they filled up completely... Saturday's in the middle of October are PACKED so I suggest buying the FOTL wrist bands if that's the case, but even with a regular wristband you can probably manage to do all the mazes.

Apparently it's 103 in Valencia today and Jet Stream is closed for maintenance.

I think so. I saw some photos of some construction going on on Jet Stream's flume. Perhaps they're finally fixing that leak?

I went to SFMM today.

 

The park very busy and crazy hot.

Yup, it doesn't look like the fire impacted progress. The RMC guys are still going at it!
