Hmm, doesn't look like Intamin

Here is some examples they use the same photo but Photoshop the image!

Superman at SFOT

Sasquatch at Great Escape!

They use this image alot for their drop towers!

And it is on the Season Pass coupon books!

Haha, good catch!

I guess what I think is funny is that these days it has become so simple to get a high quality new photo for a new promotional campaign for a new ride, and have it shopped like that in 15 minutes, but parks continue to use the same stock photos they've had for years.

^ I think they classify the level of thrill by the height requirement. Because every coaster that is a "maximum thrill" has at least a 52" height requirement, other than X2 and Goliath. I think LLDOD and S:EFK should definitely be max. thrills.

It still makes me laugh when I see that Goldrusher has the same height requirement as X2.

That makes plenty of sense, and explains why Ninja is apparently less thrilling than both Gold Rusher due to the park maps. Otherwise, SF needs to get their priorities strait.

Based on the Windseeker media day I went to, it's not that easy; even seeing Robb get POV footage - it just doesn't look that easy.

It's not as if someone can ride next to the passengers in the photo shoot and take their picture with a DSLR camera. In reality, it takes some sort of bracketry for the ride, the right lighting, and decent looking people.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I just think there's quite a bit of work involved in getting stock photos. And to be perfectly honest, I don't think too many people will notice the difference.

I read from The Coaster Guy that Six Flags corporation is teaming up with 7-eleven. All 11 parks will get their slurpees and at 7:11 there will be exclusive ERT. Also if you bring your souvenir cup to 7-eleven retail stores than you get a refill for 99 cents. Does anyone when SFMM plans to do ERT?

Has Goldrusher's ride height always been 48"? It reminds me of Whizzer here at SF Great America and that has a 36". That's a little crazy, as a 3 year old can ride it, but 40-42" seems reasonable for GR, and it was built when safety standards were much more lax. Demon here is similar to Revolution and only has a 42" height with 4 inversions.

I'll be interested to see how the 7:11 PM ERT is going to work as well. I visited the slurpee.com site and couldn't find any mention of six flags at all. I did go ahead and register for the slurpee rewards deal though. My wife and kids are always getting slurpees at the local 7-11 so I should have plenty of codes to enter.

^ Nope, GoldRusher (and Revolution) were each 42" until the late 90's/early 00's (I believe).

Same applies to Monte and Jaguar at Knott's.

So why did Goldrusher and Revolution change? Does California not have grandfather regulations?

The Knotts coasters have ridiculous heights too. It doesn't seem right when Mil Force and X2 have 48" heights. Doesn't Cal allow parks to have 2 different heights if an adult is riding? How does the state expect parks to be family parks? Does Disney have this trouble too, or are they paying the state for these excessive regulations everywhere else?
