AllenA07
That kind of reminds me of when the plans for Goliath leaked years back. Some employee who had managed to snap a picture threw them up online. I wonder if anybody here remembers the fun days of waiting for posts by "The Insider".

chickenbowl
I wasn't hoping for a name like "Full Throttle" to fit in the wilderness area. It stands out and I'd rather have something more themed, but hey, I still always wanted a LSM launched so I guess we'll see what happens.

metrock
Ah yes, "The Insider" and "Gooses Realm of Insanity." It's crazy to think that all this started (for me) more than 12 years ago in late 1999. I was visiting Magic Mountain and wondered what they were building. At that point only a few supports were going up for the ride. I asked and an employee told me a restaurant. Knowing he was full of it, I googled (yes, I used google) about SFMM and came across the forum for Gooses site. From there the craziness started. Ah, I do miss the days of Gooses Realm of Insanity, Americacoasters, Rollercoasterz.com, etc.
Gigalyte
^Goose's Realm of Insanity was also the first site that started it for me, I when it went away. Far as the rumor that the LA Times is reporting on "Full Throttle", like they say if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all so I will remain silent

galindoverhere
OK I seriously don't like the name "Full Throttle" because it doesn't go along with the themeing of High Sierra Territory. Is there a possibility they'll change the themeing of the area? My bets are on Intamin to build this coaster. This is sounding suspicious... ScottBrown
And it is the LA times once again the same people who leaked out the 2012 Six Flags new ride lineup slightly early

All the rumors point to the coaster using both sides of the hill and the old metro tunnel. The station could be on the west side of the hill and just have some elements in the old Log Jammer area. I thought I heard that the station will be in the Deja Vu area and then go north and then east over the hill. If the rumors of longest coaster too are true than that would make sense hence the reason why Deja Vu and Thrill Shot have been removed to make way for it. We'll see... Philrad71
A Magic Mountain mechanic inadvertently revealed closely guarded facts about the record-setting attraction while casually talking with a group of coaster enthusiasts during the recent West Coast Bash event at the Valencia amusement park. And how do we know that this "mechanic" wasn't actually the recently let-go, unemployed Dippin' Dots guy?
Tmcdllr
Way to go LAtimes, print a story based on what "an employee said"...

Since current TPR members were the original people posting about their conversation with a mechanic at Apocalypse. Unless you're joking, in which case, ! ^I agree with what someone else mentioned, being that the mechanic was supposed to "leak" this information to create buzz about the new ride. It's even made it's way the to the LA Times now, showing that it worked if this is what they were going for.
Mechanic
Just about everything "leaked" is either on purpose, or complete BS. I have no idea which category this particular rumor fits into, but I'm definitely hoping a multiple launch coaster is really coming to the mountain. Manic Monte
Personally, I find the idea of a second, full circuit launch coaster at SFMM awesome. I can't wait to hear the specifics.
Commando
I have a hard time believe this, while it would be epic, I don't see Six Flags spending that kind of cash on one park. Considering the crazy rumors surrounding SFMM I really cant believe this yet. Keep in mind, I don't think a mechanic is going to know the parks future plans he falls into the same category as the dip'in dots guy in my book. mr. cockblock
Personally, I find the idea of a second, full circuit launch coaster at SFMM awesome. If this rumored ride would be the 2nd, then what ride is the first full circuit launch. Don't say Superman.
dylanreich
^They didn't specifically refer to this ride. They're probably an insider talking about a ride coming in the next 10-15 years, dropping the hints now. In all seriousness, I am expecting a monster of a ride, especially with how early they've started on this. At this point, it seems as if there will a backlash if this ride is anything less than awesome, and they haven't even announced it.

If this rumored ride would be the 2nd, then what ride is the first full circuit launch. Don't say Superman. You misread it. I said second (as in second launch coaster) , full circuit (as in different) launch coaster. There's no way Superman should be the only launch ride representing this park. It's something (other than airtime) I have been wanting since forever!
Chrisrad
Since they're naming this ride after an energy drink, why not just call it Monster - it will fit better theme-wise with the area. Or Rockstar because of its proximity to the theater/stage.
Mechanic
^^ No offense, but no one misread anything. The way your statement was written implied that the park already has a full circuit launch coaster.
Manic Monte
Well it's pretty obvious they don't, that's why there was a comma between second and full circuit... Ugh... okay I get it...I'll restate it. Personally I would love a second, "full circuit" launch coaster at SFMM. Much better.

Mechanic
Like I said, no offense intended. I'm just really excited about the prospect of a multiple launcher, particularly a full circuit ride, and one that will hopefully use the terrain of the mountain. I also like the idea of it being an exceptionally long ride.
