  1. Agreed. It's a no brainer depending on what your answer to this question is.
  2. ^^We'd be ice slide enthusiasts. Like Jeff Johnson was back in the day
  3. As someone who cannot resist buying unique theme park souvenirs, I concur!
  4. ^^Comparing the clientele of a ski resort to the clientele of SFMM is a completely ridiculous comparison.
  5. I judge theme parks all the time because I work in the industry, however, I am NEVER looking for something to praise or criticize. I just enjoy going to theme parks to have fun, but by force of habit I cannot help but notice certain things. It seems like most Disney fans lose track of the fun part and only want to scrutinize. Which serves exactly zero purpose.
  6. First tree my roommate & I have had in 3 years! Our first tree!
  7. The Seahawks are a playoff team, and also a division rival who now have an outside chance of winning the division because of this win. They just got beat badly. Pete Carroll finally beat Haurbaugh!
  8. Inefficient to use so much staff? Definitely. Chaotic? Maybe. But if you waited less than the posted wait time (as he did), it still did its job. It's his fault for assuming it would take less time. Disney owes the guests in single rider absolutely nothing except the promise of a shorter wait time, which they delivered on by shaving 15 minutes off the posted wait time. He is just blaming the CM, when as Robb pointed out, with a fastpass already in hand, easily could have called/texted his friends, or left the line and used the FP. He is also just assuming the CM was doing it wrong, which is just one of the many possibilities. Honestly, from the sound of how he described it, they may have been testing different ratios to see how they impacted the line. To me it sounds like they were purposely putting an emphasis on letting more guests from the regular queue in to keep the regular line moving, and that the manager only made the change after he saw the impact it had on single rider/wheelchairs.
  9. OCT keeps on growing! Hope they bring a megalite clone too!
  10. That's exactly it. I've been in the industry a long time (and trained hundreds of employees), and I can tell you that there has never been a ride operator (myself included) that is able to fully grasp their job just from passing the training. Perhaps you were the ignorant one by assuming that you knew how he should do his job? Who is to say they weren't testing out new ratios? Only in CA could someone complain about saving 15 minutes off the posted wait time.
  11. ^I think ignorance is a strong word. What if the guy was just new? Sh*t happens sometimes. I would actually say good on Disney for having management on site to help the guy out so he can learn and get better. Something that definitely doesn't happen at the park in your username.
  12. *bump* Lets see... Boring bowl games, more conference realignment talk, and the coaching carousel is spinning on overdrive...must be mid December! I'm really hoping NIU can pull off the upset. Still can't decide who I want to win the title game.
  13. ^Knowing SFMM, it's probably rusting until it falls apart.
  14. Good to see some real progress. Can't wait to get these credits!
  15. When's the next one?
  16. Finally rode Manta---definitely a pleasant surprise. Nothing spectacular, but a fun little ride.
  17. ^Assume these buses will use an alternate fuel source.
  18. ^^They did the same thing for the Simpsons Ride when Harry Shearer didn't want to do it.
  19. Hopefully the removal of the OTSR's will make the ride enjoyable again. Otherwise they might as well have just bought back Typhoon.
  20. Just got back from Camp Freddy at the Roxy. Amazing show, despite Fred Durst being one of the guest singers.
  21. Historic or not, this is an offer they can't refuse. Otherwise the entire park will be gone in 10 years.
  22. It wouldn't be SFMM if it wasn't an operational nightmare. The other thing about these buses are that they are sure to require far more training than the current parking lot trams. With how little SFMM pays, i'd be slightly terrified being on a bus driven by an SFMM employee.
  23. What a coincidence...my old boss happens to be the director of guest service there, so it is definitely on my list of places to visit soon!
  24. To be fair, he did also say everything was a walk up...so you can't really blame the park in this instance. And he also noted they actually started running two trains on Tatsu when the line did back up for a bit.
