  1. And I'm sure if the outcome was still the same, Redskins fans would be complaining the captain of the team was left on the bench if he said he was able to play. It's a no win situation. He chose to ride the hot hand that got the team into the playoffs until the very end.
  2. I see an overhaul of Transformers down the line....
  3. There is no next week in the playoffs, and RGIII is the leader of the team. Sure he couldn't run as he usually does, but leaving the team captain off the field in the playoffs this year to protect the future would be silly.
  4. Rock-em-Sock-em Roberts for the new generation! Seriously though, some sort of mini show would be awesome.
  5. At this point we don't really know if it is possible or not. Depends on how much they are tearing up in and around the area. But until they are ready to pour those footers, there's no reason to keep the ride down except to save money. But like I said, that's their business model and it works well for them financially.
  6. So what are the odds Johnny Manziel can repeat as the Heisman trophy winner? He killed it at the Cotton Bowl.
  7. From a guest service standpoint, that's a bullsh*t reason to close a ride. But for the new Six Flags, it is business as usual. Construction= convenient excuse to cut that cost for the quarter. Smart from a strictly business point of view... And yes, PiccolloPete, he is correct. Superman requires its own feed off the main power grid, while the rest of the parks rides/buildings/shops/restaurants are able to share feeds within an area.
  8. I would imagine that with a dark stage, the colors would still pop even during the day.
  9. He's got a gun on his back too. They really upped the detail on this costume. Looks very cool in person.
  10. Unrelated: USH has added a Megatron walkaround character to the rotation of Optimus Prime & Bumblebee!
  11. I guess the reputation of the mighty SEC rests on the shoulders of Alabama now. I would tease the Florida fans on the boards, but...they still looked better than USC in getting their butts kicked.
  12. ^Exactly. All of those claims reported are dubious without the proper context.
  13. When did they make changes? I can't find anything online about these original pre-shows.
  14. I totally missed that! That's what I get for still being half asleep when I posted it. I guess KBF PR missed it too, contradicting themselves in the release.
  15. He got ran out of town in Washington after a horrible 2011 season, but while at USC he was a great DL coach and recruiter. Very passionate/high energy coach. Hard to say how he was as a defensive coordinator, since Pete Carroll still had a ton of control over the D while he was at USC. Whether it was him or Carroll responsible, the defenses under his time as coordinator were very aggressive---lots of linebacker and corner blitzes, with the safeties deeper as protection.
  16. ^Why does that matter? The press release was clear that it was the second log ride ever built. This is awesome news! Maybe the Mine Ride is next?
  17. I don't really understand why anyone needs to fight about Android vs iOS. if a phone or tablet works for you, that's all that matters.
  18. South Carolina? That's the school with that one guy who delivered a monster hit, right? That other USC should try winning a national title before they can claim to be the real USC. Is it signing day yet?
  19. I think the concept is an awesome concept that unfortunately became dated with how fast technology improved. I'd love to see what they could do now with 4K projectors, 10000x better CGI, and the countless improvements to animatronics/lighting/sound/automation technology as well.
  20. They used to keep it open during Haunt. Mischievous clowns may or may not have had super soakers on the return to the station.
  21. I got nothing. Is it signing day yet?
  22. Having seen what goes on backstage, it was definitely a technical marvel for its time. But technology advanced so much since its debut, while still an awesome use of a 4d show, its time had come. 75000 shows and countless advances of projection technology later, it was time to move on. As a side note, the last show was a lot of fun. Lots of current and former employees were there to watch the show, which led to it having lots of energy. Kimberly added in a few references to it being the last show, like telling the T1000 when he first arrived: "You're late, it's like its your last day on the job or something." The cast got a standing ovation and came out after the show to take pictures. As a fun fact, there were four cast members who stayed with the show its entire run (and a 5th who only left to perform in Florida and Japan).
  23. T2 has now officially closed at USH. Let the construction for whatever is taking its place begin! Goodbye T2
  24. They'd also probably put some of the begs in backwards causing lots of downtime.
  25. Who would have thought that people who enjoy TPR would offer their opinion/support of TPR on the TPR message board? That never happens anywhere on the internet.
