I don't think UNLV needs a stadium with so many premium amenities that will only be used for non UNLV events. Plus, the whole "we're anti gambling" stance of the major pro sports leagues/NCAA will prevent any major events from being held there.

My suggestion- if you can, go for West Coast Bash in September. The ERT alone will make it worthwhile! Even if you decide you don't like the service/operations, you'll at least get your fill of rides in to last you another 4-5 years! WCB is the only time I visit the park as well now. Absolutely makes SFMM tolerable with ERT and great company!

They need to get more original with nicknames. The whole initials+# thing is tired.

Can't help but laugh at this: @LennayKay My statement: This is incredibly embarrassing to talk about, but I have been told by Alabama's offense that Manti Te'o is not real.

I'm guessing that Ronaiah Tuiasosopo becomes the fall guy. This whole thing is crazy.

How dare they not give him prior notice it's not OK to trespass. -
I'm guessing people actually suffering from leukemia might care. The nature of the story makes it a big deal. He was exploiting human emotions playing the leukemia card. Not cool.

I think him and Notre Dame's AD are terrible liars. Just fess up to it and move on. People might actually feel sympathetic towards him if he just said something like "I didn't know how to handle being in the spotlight, so I made this story up..." Other college football news: goodbye Chip Kelly! And USC has hired Cal's old DC to replace Monte Kiffin. Exciting times in the PAC-12.

Yes, from what I've been told Bonnie has been at MM for sometime now. I really think the difference is Jay is a people person and she isn't. It's as simple as that. The thing to consider is they are in the "people" business. According to that report from a few pages back, business is much better now under her tenure.

My understanding is that this company just undercut SmartCarte and gave Six Flags an offer they couldn't refuse. But from what I was told, this company is giving away too much to Six Flags for them to be able to make any money off of it. I believe that the new company is still responsible for servicing the lockers like SmartCarte was, so after factoring in the cost of labor and maintenance, at the rate they are giving Six Flags (I've heard as much as 70% of the revenue) there really isn't much room left for them to profit. I'm in total agreement with you. Jay was one of a kind! More importantly, he was and is a people person in a people business. Regarding Jay Thomas, I think it was very clear that people in the park did not buy into what he was selling. After the initial upswing in guest service and operation that we all noticed, it seemed like after a year under his tenure it was back to more of the same.

He has a history of losing games on 4th and short calls. Texas-USC anyone? I guess it comes with the turf when you're an aggressive/arrogant playcaller.
