  2. I am just wondering if anyone knows how much it had cost Canada's Wonderland to construct Shockwave (Mondial Top Scan) in 2001 or the price of a new Mondial Top Scan? I believe it is one of the more expensive flat rides in the park.
  3. No, it's rather suicidal! Have you eaten potato chips recently?
  4. Dragon Fire at Canada's Wonderland! It is also my final coaster ride of the 2016 season! I had captured this view of Dragon Fire's corkscrews looking through the employee gate. It happened to be open due to a Halloween Haunt maze which is located back there. Photo Credit: John Brooks via Amusement Views.
  5. This is hilarious, I can't stop laughing now! Thanks Bill, you made my day! But, as some have mentioned, try using used decorations and used cloth and other materials. That would help cut down on your costs considerably.

  7. Has anyone been on a flat ride that begins with the letter "I"? I'm just trying to bump this thread as it's been sitting idle since March!
  8. I prefer the old B&M restraints because they don't squeeze your chest, shoulders or waist like the new vest restraints do. Even though I had rode Banshee many times during my visit to Kings Island back in June, each ride became uncomfortable near the end as the restraint would close tighter throughout the ride due to the forces that are created. The older B&M restraints didn't cause this level of painfulness that is found with the new B&M restraints. If Canada's Wonderland were to get a new B&M coaster that features shoulder restraints, I hope they go with the old B&M restraints as I find them to be more comfortable.
  9. I found Thunderhawk to be an amazing wooden coaster when I had visited Dorney Park for the first time during June 2015. I was fortunate enough to have experienced it with the buzz bars because if I had waited another year to go, I would have missed out on the classic "feel" it produced. I hope to make it back to Dorney Park in a few years to try out Thunderhawk with its new trains. Thanks for sharing that amazing video as it reminded me of my first visit to Dorney Park last year.
  10. It could possibly be that the passengers are the "flying cobras" while riding.
  11. I'm updating and ranking my favourite Vekoma coasters list as follows: 1. Flying Dutchman (Firehawk at Kings Island) 2. Invertigo (Invertigo at Kings Island and Stinger at Dorney Park) 3. Boomerang (The Bat at Canada's Wonderland) 4. Suspended Family Coaster (Silver Streak at Canada's Wonderland) So, out of all the Vekoma coasters I've been on, I have greatly enjoyed them all except for the Vekoma SLC which is Flight Deck at Canada's Wonderland. Other than that, Vekoma makes some amazing coasters!
  12. I heard it's going where the mini-golf is by The Fly. SledgeHammer is returning next year as they have spent a whole lot of money refurbishing it, especially during the past few years. Soaring Timbers may be going where Pro Putt is or it may be going where Action Theatre and Launch Pad are located in the White Water Canyon section of the park. Nothing has been confirmed yet but, I can guarantee you that the placement of Soaring Timbers will be announced here once the park has released their final plans for Soaring Timbers. I had rode Riptide on Saturday, September 24th and it didn't seem to be giving as good as a ride as it usually does. From what I understand is that the park will try to reopen Riptide before the season is over after it goes through a slight refurbishment/maintenance process.
  13. No, not yet! But I plan on setting up an amazing display once again this year after our (Canadian) Thanksgiving! Is it foggy where you live?
  14. Yes Here's the list of rides that will be open during Halloween Haunt.

  16. Here are my favourite coasters cars/trains: Firehawk's cars at Kings Island: Photo Credit: Kings Island Vortex's cars at Canada's Wonderland: Photo Credit: Canada's Wonderland Talon's cars at Dorney Park (I find older B&M inverted trains to be more comfortable): Photo Credit: Dorney Park Thunderhawk's trains at Dorney Park (Prior to the 2016 Season): Photo Credit: Dorney Park There are many other coaster cars and trains that I like but, these are my top four as of now.

  18. That's why you have us! I checked to see but, you still have Steel First (formerly Little Laser) listed as being open when it was removed at the end of the 2010 season. Thanks once again Larry and keep up the great work on compiling TPR's Ever Evolving Park Index!
  19. I just noticed that the link for Canada's Wonderland's new additions for next year takes you to the Six flags Mexico page. Also, I would like to point out that it's Muskoka Plunge not "Muckoka Plunge" as listed above. But, great job Larry on compiling all this as it makes it easier to see what's new for 2017 at park around the World rather than scrolling through multiple threads!
  20. While looking through the Dorney Park list of rides, I noticed that Hang Time isn't listed as closed as it was removed during the 2014/2015 off-season along with Steel First, which was the kiddie coaster that closed in 2010. I also noticed that Cedar Creek Flyers isn't on the list of rides yet as it was new for 2015. Below is a photo of Cedar Creek Flyers from when I had visited Dorney Park for the first time during June of 2015. It includes a shot of the sign and the ride at the same time. If you're wondering, Cedar Creek Flyers is located next to Stinger. EDIT: I would also like to point out that the Swan Boats have also been removed from the park. Also, the Chance Carousel was reported to have been removed from the park during the 2015/2016 off-season.
  21. Here is a photo of Flying Eagles' sign that I had captured while at the park today since it is new this year.
  22. Yes it is a great idea. I was aware that it exists on other coasters but, it hasn't been seen on a Vekoma Boomerang coaster yet. I wonder if they have ever thought about it before?
