  1. Yes, Worlds of Fun's Top Spin known as Thunderhawk was removed during the 2015/2016 off-season. It's a shame to see many Huss Top Spin rides removed over the past few years but, it is for good reason as many have become "mechanical nightmares" and cost the parks a lot to maintain. Hopefully an amazing ride replaces Fire Fall at California's Great America.
  2. Yes, mostly at an arcade at Canada's Wonderland! Do you enjoy playing Pac Man?
  3. I've been on Shockwave many times at my home park, Canada's Wonderland. In my opinion, it has a decent program which allows for quite a bit of flipping. But, it isn't crazy like the programs seen on Mondial Top Scans among travelling midways. But, for an intense (or more so thrilling) ride on any Top Scan, I suggest sitting in the outer seats of any gondola, and have your arms up throughout the entire ride.
  4. You should be fine! Lines are never a problem because of their amazing operations unless it's a BOGO wristband day. Okay, thanks! I look forward to visiting Knoebels this summer!
  5. I have plans on making my first visit to Knoebels for the first time sometime this summer. I plan on visiting on a weekday during late July or anytime during August. I am wondering how crowded the park is during those times of the year. Knoebels definitely looks like an amazing park and I look forward to visiting!
  6. 1. What is the name of your home park? Canada's Wonderland 2. Do you own a coaster related T-shirt? Yes, quite a few of them. Some of them are from Canada's Wonderland while others are from Kings Island and Dorney Park. 3. Do you enjoy Vekoma SLCs? No, as they're quite rough and uncomfortable. 4. Name the first 3 coasters that come to mind. Behemoth, The Bat, and Vortex. 5. One park you would definitely never go back to is... Ontario Place because I went there a couple of times as a kid and it closed down about five years ago. 6. Have you ever ridden a drop tower taller than 200 feet? Yes, Drop Tower Canada's Wonderland which is 227 feet and Drop Tower at Kings Island which is 300 feet tall. 7. What is your favorite roller coaster? Vortex at Canada's Wonderland. 8. When you go to a park three things you must have with you are... Camera, Money, and my season pass. 9. How many times did you visit your home park last season? Have you ever spent an entire day at a park alone? No. 12. The independent park you go to the most is... Oddly enough, none as there isn't much around here. 13. Does B&M or Intamin make better hyper coasters? I would have to say B&M for now as I haven't rode any Intamin hyper coasters to date. 14. If it was free, what upcharge ride what you jump on right now? Slingshot at Canada's Wonderland! 15. What is the best food at your home park? Crispy Chicken wraps. 16. The name of the worst GCI you've ridden is... I haven't been on a GCI coaster yet. 17. When you're not riding something at your home park where are you? Either at home or at college. 18. Favorite water ride in a dry park (flume, rapids, etc) For me it would have to be river rapids, but log flumes come at a close second. 19. Do you get your photo taken with park mascots? No. 20. Name one personal item you've lost at a park. I don't recall loosing anything at any amusement park. 21. Name of the worst B&M invert you're ridden is... The only reason Banshee is here is because of the restraints. I found them to be completely uncomfortable when I rode it for the first times during my second visit to the park in June 2016. Other than that, it's a great coaster with an amazing layout. 22. Name your favorite steel coaster under 125 feet tall. Vortex at Canada's Wonderland. 23. Dragon Fire at Canada's Wonderland (Also the last coaster I rode for the 2016 season). 30. Name of your favorite ride that never leaves the ground (safari, train, bumper cars, etc) Spinovator (Mack Calypso) a Canada's Wonderland. 31. What ride makes you laugh the most? I would have to answer Spinovator at Canada's Wonderland again due to the intense spinning which can be experienced on hte ride while having your arms in the air. 32. How many RMC's have you ridden? Zero. 33. Best flat that goes over 100 feet is... Skyhawk at Canada's Wonderland. Although, Psyclone at Canada's Wonderland or Delirium at Kings Island are also very good. 34. I drink water (from the drinking fountains) and orange juice. 39. The name of the best B&M you've ridden is? Talon at Dorney Park. 40. Name three other forum members that will fill this out... I'm not too sure as the members I was going to name have already filled it out.
  7. My favourite ride signs are Vortex's and The Bat's at Canada's Wonderland. Photo Credit: Coaster Guy Online Photo Credit: John Brooks via Amusement Views
  8. If I could go back in time, I would like to visit either Crystal Beach located in Crystal Beach, Ontario or Boblo Island located near Amherstburg, Ontario. Both parks appeared to have a nice collection of rides and coasters prior to their closings.
  9. Interestingly enough, I never had one bad ride on SkyRider. I greatly enjoyed SkyRider as I would ride it with my arms in the air embracing the airtime. I also found the transitions to be quite good. I'm glad SkyRider was relocated to Cavallino Matto in Italy after it closed in late 2014 at Canada's Wonderland as it was an amazing Togo stand-up coaster. I have yet to ride a B&M stand-up coaster but, from what I heard, the restraints and the "seats" are the major concerns and/or problems. I would greatly like to see the stand-up coaster make a return, as the last one built was in 1999 but in order for that to happen, B&M would need to redesign the restraints and make them vest-like as many have mentioned in previous posts.
  10. Since Leviathan is technically a giga coaster, I won't include it on my list below. So, here is my favourite hyper coaster list based on the hyper coasters I've been on: 1.Behemoth 2.Diamondback 3.Steel Force I am hoping to make my first visit to Kennywood next summer in order to take a ride on Phantom's Revenge as it looks like an amazing hyper coaster!
  11. The ride selection looks great, especially the fun house. Thanks for sharing these photos of the Oklahoma State Fair!
  12. Well, I arrive at my home park prior to it opening for the day. My first ride varies each visit as I visit multiple times per season. But, I would say this year it was mostly Skyhawk since it was new for 2016.
  13. http://www.pne.ca I agree with you that the first photo looks like an SBF Visa Spinning Coaster. I believe the second photo is of a Zamperla Magic Bikes ride. Now, the third ride, judging by the most recent photo appears to be some sort of Booster type ride. But, I could be wrong as I don't think that would be a ride which families would ride together as they can be quite intense. It will be interesting to see what the third ride is. 14. Well, I wouldn't say every post but, I suppose I do tend to put great detail into the majority of my posts. I should really try to reduce the content and get to the point.
  15. I suppose La Ronde could have B&M come in and refurbish Cobra even though it is a 28 year old Intamin stand-up coaster (which operated at Skara Sommarland from 1989-1994 until arriving at La Ronde in 1995). But, I don't see La Ronde doing so as it would be quite expensive to have B&M to come in and install custom trains and rework the coaster as it is quite aged and not in great condition. It would be sad to see Canada's now only stand-up coaster get removed but, if that's the case then that means an end of an era of stand-up coasters in Canada as SkyRider was relocated to Cavallino Matto after closing in late 2014. Luckily, the Togo creation was relocated and has been thrilling many who visit Cavallino Matto in Italy. I wonder if Cobra would be relocated again if it were removed from La Ronde?
  16. Here is a photo which Canada's Wonderland shared today after the major snow storm we had yesterday and this morning. Photo Credit: Canada's Wonderland via Facebook
  17. Here's a video from March of 2015 found on Canada's Wonderland's Instagram page showing Dragon Fire testing in the snow.

  19. No, but my home park should! Have you been to an amusement park holiday event?
