  1. No! I'm quite sure that would result in some sort of injury! Have you panicked on a dark ride before?
  2. Here's an interesting advertisement from 1991 for Vortex at California's Great America. The advertisement features Iron Wolf at Six Flags Great America.
  3. No. But, my friend had at a Dunkin' Donuts while we were on our way to Kings Island back in June. I hadn't been since July 2014, so we were asking for slight directions on how to get to Kings Island at a nearby Dunkin' Donuts. My friend had ordered a doughnut while we were there and the cashier told him it was on the house. Have you eaten a doughnut lately?
  4. Here's a small version of my theme park bucket list as my other one is quite large! So, my home park is Canada's Wonderland and I've also been to Kings Island (July 2014 and June 2016) and Dorney Park (June 2015). So, here's what I hope to venture off to next within the next few years: 1. Kennywood 2. Knoebels 3. Six Flags Great America 4. Lake Compounce 5. Six Flags New England 6. Kings Dominion 7. Carowinds 8. Cedar Point 9. Six Flags Great Adventure 10. Michigan's Adventure 11. Kentucky Kingdom That's all for now! I think my bucket list has a great selection of parks!
  5. Superman Krypton Coaster looks like an amazing floor-less coaster with its custom layout and especially with its setting! You did an amazing job at capturing the coaster's custom layout in this video. I hope to ride Superman Krypton Coaster one day within a few years on a large trip I'm planning. Thanks for sharing!
  6. Canada's Wonderland: 1. Behemoth 2. Vortex 3. Leviathan 4. The Bat 5. Dragon Fire 6. Mighty Canadian Minebuster 7. The Fly 8. Ghoster Coaster 9. Backlot Stunt Coaster 10. Thunder Run 11. Wonder Mountain's Guardian 12. Silver Streak 13. Time Warp 14. Flight Deck 15. Wild Beast 16. Taxi Jam (I have yet to ride it) That's my ranking of coasters at my home park, Canada's Wonderland. If SkyRider were still there, it would have ranked easily in the top five.
  7. Steven Yeun. How tall is Dominator at Dorney Park?
  8. 1992(?). But, no one answered this question...
  9. That's okay! It's not the standard model calypso but, it is more of a super model with higher capacity that Mack had later manufactured. It opened with the park in 1981. Do you want to take a stab at my new question?
  10. The correct answer to my previous question is 25. Now, the answer to DarienLaker's question is Joker's Revenge. What is the capacity of Drop Tower at Canada's Wonderland?
  11. They currently have 24 inversions, collectively. How many buckets are there are on Spinovator (Mack Calyspo) at Canada's Wonderland?
  12. It's actually Antique Carousel which was built in 1928. It opened with the park in 1981. More history about the Antique Carousel can be found here. The one at Six Flags Fiesta Texas opened first. How long is KI and Miami Valley Railroad at Kings Island?
  13. Before I answer DarienLaker's question, I'd like to point out that my question was answered incorrectly: The correct answer was Skytrak at Granada Studios in 1997. Now, on to the answer for DarienLaker's question: Iron Wolf at Six Flags Great America in 1990 (Now Apocalypse at Six Flags America since 2012). What is the oldest ride at Canada's Wonderland?
  14. One Metropolitan Square which stands approximately 594 feet! Which coaster was the first flying coaster and what year did it open?
  15. Thanks for sharing these great photos of Kings Island from this time of the year as I have only ever visited during June (2016) and July (2014, my first visit!). I agree that a Gerstlauer Sky Roller could easily fit where the old Intamin Flight Commander operated. Although, a Mondial Top Scan could also fit in that spot as well. It'll be neat to see what they do with that old ride pad. I greatly enjoy Kings Island and hope to get back in another couple of years! Thanks once again for sharing your photos!
  16. Some sounds I think are the best on coasters is the "clunking" of the brakes on a Vekoma Boomerang coaster when the train comes back into the station, the "clanking" of the Arrow Dynamics chain lift, and the ratcheting sound created by shoulder restraints found on Arrow and Vekoma coasters. The worst sounds on a coaster is the "creaking" of some PTC trains on wooden coasters, the whirring sound of Vekoma lift hill motors, and the rattling sound found on most Vekoma SLCs' trains.
  17. The manufacturer of Guardians Of the Galaxy - Mission: Breakout! is Otis Elevator Company while the designer is Walt Disney Imagineering. What coaster was the first to feature 4 inversions when it opened in 1980?
  18. I know I will be visiting Canada's Wonderland next year! But, I'm still deciding on visiting Kennywood or Knoebels (or both if I have enough time) for the first time next summer. I'll just have to wait and see!
  19. Misbehaving!
  20. Well, here's the answer from DirkFunk as to who had manufactured the rafts: Does anyone know if there are any other river rapid ride rafts manufactured by this manufacturer out there? Or are these the only rafts they've made for such an attraction? If not, I hope another incident as such does not occur.
  21. Sorry, I was unaware of the post which had posted above stating that Intamin had not manufactured the river rapids ride at Dreamworld. I do try my best at conducting research. The problem is that there are quite a few manufacturers of river rapids rides, so it makes it difficult to distinguish who manufactured the rides sometimes. I fully understand now that it was not Intamin who manufactured this one involved in the incident. This is an extremely rare and sad incident.
  22. POST REMOVED: The ride was NOT from Intamin. Please do your research before making posts or assumptions about an accident.
