^Mmmm... That is definitely a local favorite around here! Have you had their limited edition Backwoods Bastard? It blows that (and most beers) out of the water! Definitely Top 3 beer I've ever had, if not the best!

What certainly holds true, is that there is no benefit to sweeping a team, and getting an extended rest before the World Series! Both of their last WS appearances, the Tigers were the better team going in, and had just bombed their ALCS opponent, only to have to wait longer than they had at any point during the regular season to play their WS opponent, and then they were very obviously (to those of us who had watched them day in and day out all season) WAY out of sync, and both times faced a team coming off of an emotional high of a 7 game NLCS win. Momentum is everything in Baseball, and being too good for your own good, like the Tigers were in '06 and '12, actually hurt them come the World Series.

Ok, getting back to the numbering system introduced in the first post, here are my Top 5 One-Two Punch Coasters! 1. Cedar Point (5) - Millennium Force and Maverick, Maverick and Millennium Force. Either way you slice it, no park comes close, in my opinion! 2. Holiday World (18) - The Voyage and Thunderbird 3. Six Flags Great Adventure (23) - El Toro and Nitro 4. Sea World Orlando (28) Kraken and Manta 5. Kings Island (32) Diamondback and Banshee

Same reason everybody (who has a soul) hates the Yankees... Nobody likes a frequent winner, if it's not their team. More specifically for me though, I feel they just get extremely lucky/hot at the right time, and aren't really the best team in Baseball ANY of the years they've won recently. Great for them and their fans, but annoying if you're not a fan, and also like to see variance in Champions, if your team isn't going to win it all (and my favorite team, the Mariners, never will, so I'm left rooting for the best of the rest! ) Awesome win by the Blue Jays yesterday, laying the smack-down on the stRangers, and their Ace Cole Hamels! These guys are for real, and the rest of the AL teams should be worried! Here is my ranking (because as I mentioned elsewhere, I LOVE ranking things! ) of my order of preferred Champions... 1. Blue Jays 2. Nationals 3. Indians 4. Cubs 5. Rangers 6. Dodgers 7. Cancelled World Series 8. Red Sux and Giants

Great start to the TR! Kind of like Bill is saying about himself, I am pretty lazy when it comes to writing them out, as I still have an unwritten CP Trip from a month ago, and now a KI Haunt one as well. I will say, I have a feeling it'd be a blast to go to a park with you guys sometime! I know we talked about Morey's next year when I'm in Jersey, but maybe Bill could join us too! I'm also going to go to GAdv while there, and I still need initiation into the Skull Mountain Cult! Looking forward to the next part!

Superman:Krypton Coaster, Dominator, Kumba, Montu, Alpengeist. My TOP 30 are all 5 Star coasters, in my opinion!)

^Yeah, no offense to SFA, or its fans, but even though I haven't been there yet, and could get new coasters under my belt, I still want to go back to KD, and BGW, before I pay my first visit to SFA!

Ugh... I hate the Giants SO bad anymore...

I had this "Premium Japanese Beer" earlier today for the first time, and although it wasn't anything earth shattering, it was light, flavorful, and ultimately a very session-able offering!

This is me as well! Banshee isn't in my Top 10, but it IS in my Top 20, and is my favorite B&M Invert! I prefer it over Montu, and Alpengeist, though in all fairness, that may change whenever I finally get back to ride either one again. But for now, my feelings about Banshee are stronger than my memory of the other two (though they are admittedly excellent!) I think Afterburn is 4th, but I actually found it to be overrated, in my opinion, at least in enthusiast circles. I definitely would never call Banshee forceless, though it's certainly a different breed of B&M Invert than the Raptor and Batman versions. But it's the kind of breed I prefer! As for ranking things being overboard or geeky, I don't think so at all. Some people just like to rank things. I LOVE to rank things, and will pretty much rank anything and everything, just because it's something I enjoy. To each their own though... Speaking of which, my Top 10 is the same as last time I posted, and it's in my signature, so I'm actually going to be posting my "Next 10" or possibly 15, before too long in here! Again, I enjoy ranking things, what can I say!

This, time 1,000,000! CF doesn't give a rat's behind about MiA, or what us Michiganders (talking GP here, not enthusiasts) would like to see from the park. Just so long as they keep getting that tidy profit margin on the merits of the built-in Summer Vacation season, they'll do minor infrastructure additions, and otherwise ignore the place. It is what is is... I've moved on... But yes, Kanonen at MiA would be a brilliant move, in a world where MiA wasn't owned by CF!

Count me in as another who isn't really impressed by the Rams yet... A closer analysis of their wins, doesn't show a team that is actually playing that well. They haven't scored over 13 points except against the terrible Buccaneers defense, and they've yet to beat any of their opponents by even a TD. A win is a win, and they have three of them, so props to that. But aside from a strong defense (that still gave up over 30 points to a Buccaneers offense that got shut down by my Broncos), they are still a fairly anemic team overall... I'm picking Buffalo in all of my Pick-ems this week, to put my money where my mouth is.

Great game played in the Battle of the Birds tonight, and what a fantastic ending! (Particularly if you're a Jays fan like me! ) Bring on the Rangers! Here's hoping for a Blue Jays vs. Indians ALCS, and I'll be pulling for yet another Wild Card to be in the World Series (as much as I hate the notion in principle!)

I was extremely impressed by the Vekoma after watching its video, and thought it'd be hard to beat! But that Intamin layout... Never thought I'd have a reason to go to Poland someday... Now I have one!
