  1. Agreed! I haven't been in 14 years, and my buzz from going there is still strong! Can't wait to make it back, hopefully next year!
  2. Definitely what coasterbill said! There's no way you're going to be happy riding White Lightning only once, or even twice!
  3. ^Oh, I'm not trying to give you a hard time really! Just discussing the topic is all!
  4. I think you have to consider Big Ben in there as QB. I don't like Brady at all, and yes, Cutler is a D-Bag. But compared to Big Ben? Not even close! I actually don't agree with either RB pick... I can see why AP gets that rap, but Bell? So the dude loves Pot more than playing all of his teams' games... He's actually a very friendly and personable fellow (as is AP, actually...), and not at all somebody I'd classify as a D-Bag. Marshawn Lynch was an awesome RB, but he would definitely qualify, just based on personality...
  5. I'm hoping for a Blue Jays vs. Nationals World Series, but if I had to pick what I think is more likely, I'll go with Indians vs. Nationals. I know everybody is going to be predicting Red Sox vs. Cubs, but rarely do I ever side with the cliche picks. Here's hoping for a completely different, and unique WS this year for a change! (In other words, stay the F*** away Giants! )
  6. Does Cedar Downs count? If so, about a month ago! When was the last time you met somebody from online that you'd never met before?
  7. A.I. by OneRepublic (Feat. Peter Gabriel)
  8. Yes, though I've only ever ridden one once. I'd love to do it more though! Have you ever been to three or more concerts for the same artist/band?
  9. Man, coasterbill... Just when I was about ready to really let myself get crazy excited about this project, and what an amazing RMC it's going to be, you have to squash those hopes and dreams under the realism that is the complete lack of knowledge anybody has about what this is actually going to be!
  10. Chance ships are the only swinging ships worth riding. They come in a variety of themes but the most common are the Sea Dragon or Pharaoh's Fury themes. Some parks have them run crap programs, but for the most part they swing at a near vertical position in the end seats leading to great floater air. Dorney seems to run theirs properly so I almost always ride it while I'm there. I assume this means that Sea Dragon at MiA is a Chance model? If so, that makes a lot of sense, as it has always seemed like one of the best, if not THE best swinging ships I've ever ridden!
  11. Ahhhh, good ole' cinnamon bread!! I won't lie... Seeing this after thinking about the Cinnamon Bread, actually made me want to eat it LESS!
  12. RAWKIN_coaster38, this just reminds me that I still need to post my Mini-TR from the other week! I actually started once, and got halfway through, but accidentally hit the page refresh button, and lost it all, which discouraged me from doing it again for a while. But hopefully Wednesday morning I can get some time to finally post it! It looks like you had another great time there! Thanks for sharing!
  13. Thanks for confirming that I am not an enthusiast. Gatekeeper is definitely my favorite B&M at the park. GateKeeper is my favorite B&M there as well, and is a fantastic coaster! While I may have been more enthusiast-y in my younger years, taking about 8 years off from avid coaster enthusiasm (and getting old) has definitely moved me well out of stereotypical "enthusiast" territory, and into a strange in-between place between GP and enthusiast. Also, GateKeeper is NOT forceless, unless you ignore all real-life definitions of what force is. Just thought I'd again flash my GP non-enthusiast side! Oh, and seeing this picture of yours, drummermattk, was really strange and bittersweet for me... given only a month ago, my daughter and I were sitting in that very train, enjoying a special Father/Daughter day in the park... Don't get me wrong, I won't really "miss" Mean Streak! But there's always a slight wistfulness when something you experienced, especially with a special someone or on a special day, is gone forever...
  14. Maple Brown Sugar
  15. Batman (are we stuck in a time loop???)
  16. Granted, but like the good folks of Aurora Ohio, you no longer have any park at all! I wish Winter lasted only one month in Michigan...
  17. Fixed that for you! Honestly, while I agree that making a stink over this doesn't reflect the best on the Mental Health Organizations like NAMI, I don't see how it should worsen stigma of mental illness. Those two things are clearly separate issues, like I outlined in my above post. You can be against the stigmatization of mental illness, without siding completely with NAMI.
  18. Granted, but after you do so, you realize it didn't really enhance your life any, and you felt like it was wasted time. I wish everybody on TPR was nice, and it wasn't basically like a clique-filled High School...
  19. No. Have you ever been to an Amusement Park on an actual island (so no, NOT Kings Island)?
  20. 8/10 What's the rub? I had a perfectly reasonable response to somebody misjudging my prior response, and me stating that gets an eye roll? Clearly, I'm not the poster who is getting riled needlessly! Rolling Eyes at other posters' valid and merited posts
  21. I saw "The Magnificent Seven" the other night, and LOVED it! I'm not a big fan of Westerns typically, but this was fabulous! Probably my favorite Western I've seen! As for comparing it to the original, I think there's no comparisons... Unless you're looking at it through nostalgia-colored glasses, that somewhat dull, and incredibly dated movie doesn't hold a candle to the new one. Denzel and Chris Pratt were outstanding in their roles, as always, but the other five members of the "Seven" all did very well, and brought fascinating characters to life in the film. Definitely recommended!
  22. ^Worlds of Fun is getting a Condor in 2017! I feel your pain. A membership that costs approximately 5 bucks a month sounds a little bit steep when all you have to choose from are two year-round parks, both of which are getting awesome new additions and between them they have over 30 coasters including 2 RMC's. (with coasterbill at the wheel)
