  5. ^THIS So very much THIS! That's wild how Apocalypse looks now! It definitely didn't look like that last time I was there!
  6. Man, this thread got savage while I was gone today! FWIW, I did read on another site that will not be named that somebody actually called CP, and somebody there said something will be announced tonight... *shrugs* Not saying I believe THAT, but I will be a little surprised if no hints about MS's future come from tonight... Not shocked, but surprised.

  11. This is what I did at Haunt at KI last year, and will do when I go there again this year. I don't get "scared" of the actors, but have some personal space violation issues that they trigger, so ignoring seems to be the best bet for me.
  12. It's like Elissa, and others have referenced... If Viper isn't getting good ridership numbers anymore, and I'd be shocked if it was, then replacing it with something that will become a sure-fire crowd pleaser makes a lot of sense. Maintenance costs for the older coaster will only continue to go up, and if there aren't that many people riding it any longer, its removal for something else makes a lot of sense. As for what constitutes a sure-fire crowd pleaser, the Dive Coaster sure fits the bill. While I know they have very mixed reviews in enthusiast circles, the fact of the matter is that they are VERY exciting and attention grabbing coasters to the GP, which is the demographic that Amusement Parks are looking at. The addition of Valravn at CP has taken what was already a popular destination, and given it an even greater surge in attendance, and I can assure you that from going to CP with a wide-cross section of GP individuals this year, it was highly talked about, and anticipated from the second it was visible in the park. Considering there isn't anything remotely like one on the West coast, SFMM would really make waves by installing the biggest and best Dive Coaster yet, and it would probably produce a massive spike in attendance. As for location in the park, looking at potential locations that would not involve removing a coaster, none of them have the prominence that putting a Dive Coaster in Viper's spot does. Alongside, and towering over X2, as visitors enter the park, it would definitely form an impressive statement, and excite arriving guests even more than they already were - much like the Valravn effect at CP. If this rumor is true, it's a brilliant move by SFMM, and as much as we enthusiasts would appreciate a B&M Giga like Fury (but taller) back there, I suspect the GP will be much more excited by a Dive Coaster.
  13. I saw that this thread had exploded for about 8 pages just since Wednesday morning, and decided to skip straight to the last page. Sounds like that was a good move, eh?
  14. ^ They do look rather dreadful after that game! However, one win this weekend at home against the Seahawks (who didn't look that strong themselves on Sunday), and all will be forgotten! (Not saying that's going to happen, just that it could.) Honestly, I think them not starting Goff is pretty nuts... I know he didn't look great in the Pre-Season, but Case Keenum? Seriously? After you mortgaged the future to draft Goff? Oi...

  17. I picked up a four-pack of this unique and interesting brew the other day, and while I don't LOVE it, it's not bad. It's called "Cranium Crush, but is a Raspberry Waffle Cone Cream Ale, from a local (to the State) brewery up in Petoskey.
  18. Regarding the whole EPCOT food debate, I wonder if one of the reasons it places so low, is that these are awards voted on by enthusiasts, and given that there aren't any really exciting coasters, or rides at EPCOT, maybe not a lot of enthusiasts go there? That could explain potentially why it's so low (again, within the construct of the awards themselves, not delving into their validity or relevancy.) As far as me personally, I'm not the biggest fan of EPCOT, as I found it rather dull last time I was there (admittedly, many years ago). However, one thing I do LOVE about EPCOT, is the World Showcase, and particularly the restaurants there! Best Italian food I've ever had was there (and that's my favorite kind of food!)
