  1. ^Dude... I had the Cinnamon Bread at Dollywood (never been to SDC), and it WAS fantastic! But what you just said about the Blueberry Ice Cream Cone got my eyes big and round with a much greater anticipation than any Cinnamon Bread did! (Though I disagree about the dig on MF you used! )
  2. ^Yeah, but I'm the only parent going, so that is not an option. Hopefully, reasonable heads prevail, and they just let him go through with us, and then go through the train at the station. That happens all the time in the stations anyway, so it really shouldn't be a big deal whether he waits in line with us being under height. All that matters is that he not ride the coaster under height. (And again, none of that is touching the fact that 54" is a ridiculous height limit for that coaster anyway! )
  3. Two weeks from today I'm taking my three oldest kids to KI for their first trip there, and we're all super excited! I was a little bummed to learn that Diamondback has such as high height limit, however, which will prevent my youngest child coming (just hit 52") from riding it... I think that height limit is needlessly high, but whatevs... I know that's been discussed before, and isn't going to change anything for two weeks from now. However, does anybody know... Will they allow my son to go through the line with the rest of us, and then just wait at the exit for us to ride? Or will they not even let him wait in line? Thanks to anybody who can provide me insight into this matter! (Same question goes for the other 54" rides.) An oddity in the height kerfuffle, is that last year when I took my daughter to CP to ride the "big rides" for the first time, she was about 52", and missed out on Raptor there as a result. However, this year, with my son being that height (he's a year younger than her), he'll be able to ride Banshee at KI, since it's a lower limit, in spite of being the same type of coaster. I assume that's because of the different restraint, but I still find it funny... Regardless of any of that, I'm super stoked about this trip with the kids, as are they, and we can't wait to hit up Mystic Timbers first ride of the day, and find out #what'sintheshed?
  4. There aren't enough in the world, for this answer! Seriously, it's definitely the clear winner of the "Most WTF Coaster Addition of the Past 10 Years" *at a major park award!
  5. Granted, I haven't ridden Grizzly since 2002, but I quite enjoyed it then, as well as being surprised by how much I liked Rebel Yell as well! The only woodie I thought was a blistering pile of trash, even back then, was Hurler! Now that it'll be gone, I feel it'll be safe to return to KD in 2018!
  6. Uh oh! It's the Fast Lane discussion again! This is my cue to... (Of course, if you're only going to CP once a year, and you're going anytime between Mid-June and Late August, and want to ride EVERYTHING, I suppose it really does become a "must-have", unfortunately...)
  7. Mamba (Haven't been there in a while! lol) Six Flags St. Louis?
  8. I'm just wondering why the coaster is only half-painted? Was it only then getting installed?
  9. You're an idiot. Please leave our forums so it can be made smarter for the rest of us. Thanks. Okay Robb. You run a good site and it's yours. I apologize that I didn't see the April fools angle to that video. Even though I literally pointed it out right before your post on the topic, and then again right after your post... Just sayin'... Believe me, I'd love a dueling RMC as much as the next guy. But the timing of this video had enthusiast bait written ALL over it!
  10. ^Aaaaand right on cue! Let the frenzy begin!!!
  11. Maybe the "April Fools Joke", is the fact that the music is called "Duel at High Noon", and the plural use of "They're Coming", is sure to whip up the enthusiast community into a frenzy over this being a dueling RMC coaster!
  12. I guess I'm that "guilty party", that simply doesn't "appreciate" the Batman clones like I'm apparently supposed to... I think they're fun, intense rides, that place solidly in the upper middle class of my coaster rankings. However, nothing about them makes them stand out as exemplary, or particularly exciting or notable, in comparison with other B&M Inverts I've been on. I prefer even Silver Bullet, for instance, due to its location in the park. Nothing against the Batman rides, and frankly, nothing to do with me being an "enthusiast"... Just personal preference really, and what types of things make one coaster experience more interesting, thrilling, or exciting than another for me personally. To each their own though! They are super intense, which is why I think a lot of people may love them, but they actually get marked down for that by me. The B&M Inverts with the most extreme forces, tend to be the ones further down on my personal list. Banshee, Alpengeist, and Montu are my personal top 3, and while Montu has some really strong forces, most people would classify the first two on that list as more "meandering" in nature. Raptor, while I enjoy it, is at its best during the first half in my opinion, while many love its intense finale the best, which I think is its worst (with that being a relative term - since the whole coaster is great still) part. Again, it's all about personal preference, really...
  13. It almost seemed like there was a sound like a smokestack puffing towards the end up the video, which would lend some credence toward the notion that the name and "theme" of the coaster will be train or locomotive related. Maybe I'm reading into the sound, however... Regardless, I agree that it's nice we got SOMETHING official on RMC Streak, even if the timing of the video (April 1st) is peculiar.
  14. ^Not me... There was no way on earth I was wasting my time clicking that link, especially not today! (Though Bolidikus DID get me good in the SFGAdv thread though! )
  15. Holding On to You - Twenty One Pilots
  16. Lou Malnati's is brilliant pizza, though. Hoping the next element on Mean Streak is some sort of stall, but I'll take even more airtime in all shapes and sizes. With my mindless scrolling, and your post being the first actual coaster-related post in a while, I expected your post to read: "Hoping the next element on Mean Streak is some sort of pizza" My sentiments exactly!
  17. ^I don't remember... Was when you and I rode it together your first time?
  18. I'm right there with you! I love it! Can't wait to see what my kids think of it in less than a month when they experience it for the first time! Make sure to yell to them, "HOLD ON AND GET READY FOR THE LAUNCH! Definitely! I'll be sure to hype up the ending as MIND BLOWING, so they'll be all prepared!

  20. https://rcdb.com/14554.htm Fun Spot is always the right answer Amen, and Amen!!!
  21. I'm seconding this! I've only ridden Goliath, Storm Chaser, and Lightning Rod (and LR is my fave of the three), but prefer Storm Chaser to Goliath easily, even though I still loved Goliath. I also felt like SC is longer, and the reason he (^) stated is accurate as to why this is. But again, Goliath is still in my Top 10 coasters overall (all 3 RMCs are), so I really liked it!
