I have only been on 2 Boomerangs and 1 SLC but I found the Boomerangs to be worse (rougher) so I voted for them.

The nice thing about smaller parks...
YoshiFan replied to Movieguy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I like Morey's Piers and the 2 Ocean City, NJ parks (Playland's Castaway Cove and Gillian's Wonderland Pier). I like how none of those parks have a gate admission so you can just walk in, ride a few rides and just relax for a little bit and not have to worry about getting your money's worth of the admission, though Morey's does have a wristband option for the days when you want to ride as much as you can. -
Abandoned Log Flume Found In Field
YoshiFan replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Poland Springs Plunge at Great Adventure is also a Hydro-flume -
Your favorite coaster tunnel
YoshiFan replied to chavslayer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Great White's tunnel, right after the first drop (before lift) where it turns around to get to the lift hill. -
My old Spacewarp set pics
YoshiFan replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Awesome setup. I had one of the kits when I was younger but it was too complicated for me at the time (I was around 7 or 8). I can't find the complete set though or else I would build it now since I at least hope I could figure it out now. -
How do you feel about commercials at movie theatres?
YoshiFan replied to cfc's topic in Random, Random, Random
I don't like the commericals. Previews are bad enough. I mean, you are already sitting there for around 10 minutes watching previews and movies are so expensive to see and then you have to watch commercials as well? I try to get to the movie as late as possible (I never see movies when they first open so it's never a big problem about a show selling out), so I can miss the commercials. -
Re-riding a Coaster
YoshiFan replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If it's like the exit at WDW, the car basically makes a turn (a large U turn sort of) that is in almost total darkness and a few seconds later, you are back in the loading area. -
My spring break is March 4th to March 12th. I might go to Atlantic City, for a few days but I'm not sure yet. I hate having spring break when it's still winter and cold out and no parks are open (in my area).

Anyone have a Serpent POV?

Maelstrom™ Ride @ EPCOT™
YoshiFan replied to Envy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I like the ride but I think it's too short of a ride and you go through the ride so fast it's hard to see much (like at the beginning when you pass by the viking boats). I also don't like how they have that film at the end of the ride. You have to wait until the film is over to get into the room and while you are waiting, the waiting area for the film gets very crowded and cramped. They should provide an alternate exit since when the doors open to the theater, 90%+ of the people just walk through to the exit and don't watch the film anyway, -
Very retro TR: Opryland!
YoshiFan replied to USRoadTripper's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Great pictures, that kiddie observation tower looked cool. Sesame Place has a very similar climbing mountain that was still there as of a few years ago (last time I was there). -
Schlotsky's, I was only their once (some place in GA on the way to WDW) since they don't have them in my area but the sandwich was good, better than Quizno's

Photo TR: Wildwood in Winter (GNE painting)
YoshiFan replied to FlyerACE1's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Their SLC supposedly isn't that bad compared to other SLC's (the only SLC I have been on is Great Nor'Easter and I didn't find it that rough). Their boomerang is another story though, I found it very rough -
Polarium (Nintendo DS), gets impossible after a few minutes (it's a puzzle game)

I have the original game for NES and OoT for N64. The original is my favorite game. I tried to like OoT but I got really tired of the game about 1/2 - 2/3 of the way through the game because it was so tedious. Go into a temple, solve a puzzle that is fusturating, defeat the boss and repeat over and over again.

What is the worst Theme Park in the world?
YoshiFan replied to martinb's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Worst park I have been to is Clementon (I have seen parks that look worse but I don't want to judge a park unless I have been there). Very few rides and nothing that great (I was there before Tsunami). Gillian's Wonderland Pier is also bad. They got rid of their Schwarzkopf City Jet 400 and got a Wacky Worm (they were supposed to get a newer L&T Systems coaster but I don't know what happened with that), so their only coasters are the Wacky Worm and a Miner Mike kiddie coaster. They don't have that many adult rides and nothing really stands out at the park other than the log flume. -
Shapiro visits SFKK
YoshiFan replied to M_Force_4_ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
"This is just something we don't need to nickel and dime people on." Funny he says that about a $3 upcharge when they raised parking to crazy prices and almost made it where you couldn't leave the park to save some money on food outside the park. -
An arcade with every version of Taiko Drum Master and some DDR machines as well.

Why do you support President Bush?
YoshiFan replied to smells_like_team_disney's topic in Random, Random, Random
I agree. What happened to going after and killing Osama. 4 1/2 years later and he's still running around. You don't even hear Bin Laden even being talked about anymore unless one of those tapes like the recent one shows up. -
I broke my toe 10 years ago. Luckily it wasn't a huge deal and there wasn't a cast or anything.

Theme Park Review POSTING RULES!
YoshiFan replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think it's cool that the rules are in place. I hate going to other message boards (mostly video game related) and seeing people type like they are using AIM as well as having horrible spelling. That is so true about IGN. I just look at the last few pages of posts and look for anything similar there to see if what I am going to post is a re-post or not because of how bad IGN's search is. It also doesn't help that you are only allowed to use the search on IGN if you are an Insider. -
Target is one of my favorite stores. They have awesome deals on clearance items like the Knex Rippin Rocket Coaster I picked up for $20 (regulary $80) a while ago, and I really like their store design (clean, bright, organized well).
