  1. I have only gotten 4 new credits this year: Runaway Train at Gillian's Wonderland Pier Sea Serpent at Playland (Ocean City, NJ) Rollie's Coaster at Morey's Piers Wild Mouse at Dorney
  2. Wow, $1 for 1 song for DDR? And I thought Fantasy Island in NJ with 2 songs for $1 was a ripoff. I can't imagine most people playing more than once (since you can't see how many songs you get until you put your money in the machine and start the game)
  3. Sorry to hear that, I had my XBox and most of my games stolen last year. What was really annoying was losing all the game saves since the I had my saves on the hard drive. After I replaced the system and the games I wanted to get again, I picked up a XBox memory card and every month, I copy the saves to the card and leave the card hidden away from the system in case it ever happens again. If you plan to get another XBox and games, I reccomend doing the same thing.
  4. Steel Force yesterday, last train of the night and front row
  5. I thought it was because the mountains were used as a way to hide the coaster track as Disney didn't want people to see the coaster track out in the open so the park wouldn't look like a fair or regular park.
  6. Nice pictures, that line for Raptor looked insane
  7. It takes about 15 minutes to learn how to play correctly I would say. It's very easy overall (a lot easier to learn than DDR). You should be able to get a good deal on it as well since it sold horribly in North America.
  8. That last picture of Tubtwist is great because it shows the layout of the ride which I have been interested in seeing for a while (to see if it compares to the layouts of the Virginia Reel's in RCT).
  9. I'm glad Lake Compounce realizes how important rides like antique cars are and is adding the ride unlike all the other parks that are removing the ride from their parks.
  10. Burnout Revenge for XBox
  11. August 31st. It seems like this summer went by way too quickly but I really can't complain because I have been off from school since May 10th. This is my last summer vacation too
  12. Disney is usually not strict with the fast pass return times. I have gotten fast passes for a ride that says to come back at around 4 and returned at around 7 for example and the worst any employee has ever said to me is, "you're a little late, but ok." They probably would have let you in the Splash Mountain fastpass return line even if you were past the return time.
  13. NES- Super Mario Brothers SNES - Super Mario Kart Genesis - Sonic The Hedgehog Game Gear - Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Gameboy - Super Mario Land Gameboy Color - DDR 2 Gameboy Advance - Super Monkey Ball Jr. Saturn - Sonic R Playstation 1 - DDR 3rd Mix Nintendo 64 - Super Mario 64 Dreamcast - Crazy Taxi Playstation 2 - GTA San Andreas XBox - Midway Arcade Treasures 3 Gamecube - Super Monkey Ball Nintendo DS - Mario Kart DS PSP - GTA Liberty City Stories Neo Geo Pocket Color - Sonic The Hedgehog Pocket Adventure Game.com - Scrabble Pokemon Mini - Pokemon Party Mini (only game I have for it)
  14. I think they should follow the way Japan does it and have shows that are open to the public. I think with the Tokyo Game Expo, 1 day is for media only and the other 2 days are for fans and maybe media as well. There definetly seems to be a demand for it. There was a local video game expo in my area last fall that wasn't a trade show but more like a expo. Red Octane was there demonstrating In The Groove and Guitar Hero with tournaments. There was also a GameCrazy stand promoting some deal they had going on (it was for classic games and they had tubs of the games you could buy right at the expo with the deal), vintage gaming setups and arcade machines etc. It was jammed packed and Guitar Hero had about a 25 minute wait (nothing compared to E3 lines but not bad for a small local type expo).
  15. Nice pictures, the fair looks quite interesting I also have to say that I think Midway is one of the best video game companies out there. I love arcade style games (I'll take Blitz over Madden any day!) and Midway seems to be one of the only companies releasing those type of games anymore (even if they are only console releases now). Are you serious about the 120 hour work weeks? I had wanted to work for a video game company but if that's the norm than I'm probably going to re-consider.
  16. That is shocking that Talon was running 1 train. In my past 6 visits to Dorney, Talon has always run with 2 trains even with crowds so light that the trains were less than half full. It sounds like it was a lot more crowded than normal.
  17. I never had a chance to ride it when it was in Ocean City, NJ, but on Tuesday I was on Doo Wooper at Morey's which is a clone of it and the turns seemed very tame even before the first set of brakes at the top of the rides compared to other wild mouse coasters I have been on. Regardless, I am a little nervous every time I go on the Doo Wooper because the first incident at Ocean City is in the back of my head but now I'll probably be even more nervous next time I go to Morey's.
  18. Whoever posted that information is wrong. I saw 3 different SuperNova's at Wildwood, NJ on Tuesday. Check DDRFreak.com, SuperNova is all over the place.
  19. Hydra, it should have been Talon but a storm closed all the rides so I didn't have a chance to finish my Dorney trip with Talon like I always do.
  20. Dorney won't have any major lines on the amusement side. Figure 10 - 20 minutes on average for the major coasters since you said you are going on a Saturday (on a weekday, the coasters are almost always walk ons to 5 minute waits)
  21. I prefer the DS to the PSP but I think they provide 2 different gaming experiences. DS is good for unique and different type of games for a quick gaming fix like 10 - 15 minutes. PSP seems to be better for more in depth gaming like a console type games. Grand Theft Auto for the PSP alone made getting the PSP worth it for me. As for the N-Gage, all jokes aside, I seriously was going to get the system. EB had the system down to $19.99 and all games for $2.99 so for under $60, I could have gotten a system and 10 games. Problem was, I went to about 6 EB's and none had the system and said they hadn't carried it in years
  22. Cool pictures, closed parks that still have rides left in them (and everything else like the games and other buildings) seem sort of spooky to me.
  23. Ocean City has 2 piers, Playland's Castaway Cove has: Python, A Pinfari ZL42 Flitzer, heavily braked Sea Serpent (Miler Kiddie Coaster, adults can ride) Gillian's has: Wacky Worm Runaway Train, the new L&T coaster Miner Mike/Kiddie Coaster Atlantic City just has Steel Pier which has a Crazy Mouse. $6 a ride which is kind of expensive IMO. Even though I go to Atlantic City on average 4 - 5 times a summer I still don't have the credit because I really question the safety of the rides there (like the log flume accident where they sent boats through the ride with no water in the trough after the drop).
  24. DDR isn't as popular in US arcades anymore because it's the same old versions. DDR USA in 2000 was the last US DDR arcade game, and since every arcade it seems in the US has upgraded to Extreme which was the last Japanese arcade mix since 2002, it got old and boring. Hardcore players moved onto In The Groove and In The Groove 2. I think with the newly released DDR Supernova in arcades (released in Japan, the US and Europe I think), with arcades just starting to get the game, it will get popular again in US arcades.
