  1. Nice pictures. That picture with the castle really does look like the park is crowded. I thought the jelly fish picture was cool too.
  2. I don't know if they still sell them but I got some cargo shorts at Target that have a zippered pocket. The pocket was big enough to hold my cell phone, wallet and keys and they were really cheap too, I think $12. I don't trust velcro as I heard people have lost their phones on coasters while even in a velcro pocket.
  3. Great video. I love watching those type of videos.
  4. 2 cups (about 3 1/2 cans worth) of Diet Coke at Boston Market. .
  5. Of real theme parks, 3 -5 visits a year (usually 1 - 2 visits to Hershey, 1 to Dorney and 1 to Great Adventure and 1 to Morey's). If you count trips to the Ocean City boardwalk parks (very small and only a few coasters none of which are major rides) then it's probably somewhere around 12 visits to parks a year.
  6. Nice pictures. I thought Wildwood looked extremely crowded (rides and the boardwalk), and then I saw the tents on the beach and realized why. I'll have to make sure to never visit Morey's during one of those weekends.
  7. Warioware Touched! for the DS, just opened it last night
  8. I can't believe how packed Animal Kingdom looks. Even on days when it doesn't seem that crowded it still seems congested but those crowds looked horrible. I guess that last weekend in April crowdedness is a recent thing because on my class trip 6 years ago I was there for the last weekend in April and first 2 days in May and other than a few exceptions, the crowds were very reasonable (30 minute standby for Splash, 15 minute standby for Peter Pan are the 2 I remember).
  9. B&M, (I always say the full name wrong)
  10. Morey's Piers, their most recent coaster was Rollie's Coaster (a Zyklon) in 1999. RCDB does say Doo Wooper was installed in 2005 but that was because they moved it from a different pier so I don't think that counts considering it was just moved from one of their piers to another. Another one is Playland in Ocean City, NJ. Their last coaster was Python (Pinfair Zyklon w/ loop) in 1996 and since then they lost the Mighty Mouse.
  11. Do you plan to come up with any new types of roller coasters?
  12. I feel bad for the kids because obviously it wasn't their fault but the school was very stupid not to check ahead of time. Unless it's a major park, you can't figure a park will be open on a weekday in April (and of course not even all major parks are open on weekdays yet either).
  13. Great pictures, I think I would have enjoyed the park more if it had all the rides it had in those photos compared to what is there now. I didn't know they used to have those Old Engine 99 trains. It seems like they are gone except for the ones at the Great Escape. Rebel Yell's old queue house looks better than what they have now (I hate how it takes forever to walk through the current queue that seems way too long for the short lines it gets)
  14. I have never been to DisneyQuest but I have been to ESPN Zone in Baltimore and it didn't seem like anything that special to me. DisneyQuest looks fun but I have heard the lines can be ridiculous because capacity is so bad. I wish the planned one for Philadelphia would have opened.
  15. I was wondering where Connestoga went. Although I only went on it twice while it was at Hershey, I thought it was a fun ride (and now with Joker at Dorney gone as well, those type of rides seem to be gone from the area)
  16. I liked Road Rules as well, I wondered why there was no new season last year. I hate how they copied other reality shows with the voting off though
  17. Nice pictures. It looks like a fun small park. If I'm ever in the area I'm going to try to stop there for a visit.
  18. It might have been the Great American Amusement Park book. I used to check it out from the library all the time when I was a kid. I checked it out a few months ago to read it again since I am older now (I only really used to look at the pictures when I was younger). It was an interesting read.
  19. It depends on the ride. I think with Batman and Robin The Chiller, there is a cable they use if Robin stalls between the Zero G Roll and the Cobra Roll.
  20. Sea Serpent (a boomerang) at Morey's Piers last summer. I was afraid of going on a coaster with inversions other than just a loop, but I figured I would try it because it was only a 2 train wait (no time to reconsider or be nervous thinking about it). It was rough, but I liked it and then trying the Great Nor'Easter the same day (SLC), didn't seem that scary because of it.
  21. Happy Tymes, in Warrington, PA has the standard outdoor themeing course with the stone type structures and waterfalls with one big difference. There are water obstacles, not just a pool of water in the middle of the green but the ball can fall into the water surrounding the holes. It's a very difficult course, especially considering it's in a family entertaniment center where the primary age group there is kids. In Margate, NJ, there is a mini golf course near the bay (not sure of exact name), and the setting is very strange because it's in between 2 houses on a plot of land with a small house on the property as well (it's almost like a backyard golf course). They also have 2 holes that have water obstacles but not just small pools that really aren't that difficult to get around. Another one is Tee Time Golf in Ocean City, NJ next to Gillian's Wonderland pier. It is different in that it seems to be one of the few traditional mini golf courses that are left, with giant obstacles such as a giraffe that you have to walk under to putt, or having the Flintstones in their car with their feet moving over the putting area. GACoaster has a picture of part of the course on his site: http://www.amusementpics.com/Wonderland.htm (last picture on page on bottom right corner).
  22. USA, Canada and the Bahamas States: PA, NJ, DE, MD, VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, IN, IL, OH, CT, MA, RI
  23. I would start out with the smaller coasters in the park (even a kiddie or family coaster) to try to gain courage and slowly work towards the bigger/full size coasters.
