  1. Do you plan to come up with any new types of roller coasters?
  2. I feel bad for the kids because obviously it wasn't their fault but the school was very stupid not to check ahead of time. Unless it's a major park, you can't figure a park will be open on a weekday in April (and of course not even all major parks are open on weekdays yet either).
  3. Great pictures, I think I would have enjoyed the park more if it had all the rides it had in those photos compared to what is there now. I didn't know they used to have those Old Engine 99 trains. It seems like they are gone except for the ones at the Great Escape. Rebel Yell's old queue house looks better than what they have now (I hate how it takes forever to walk through the current queue that seems way too long for the short lines it gets)
  4. I have never been to DisneyQuest but I have been to ESPN Zone in Baltimore and it didn't seem like anything that special to me. DisneyQuest looks fun but I have heard the lines can be ridiculous because capacity is so bad. I wish the planned one for Philadelphia would have opened.
  5. I was wondering where Connestoga went. Although I only went on it twice while it was at Hershey, I thought it was a fun ride (and now with Joker at Dorney gone as well, those type of rides seem to be gone from the area)
  6. I liked Road Rules as well, I wondered why there was no new season last year. I hate how they copied other reality shows with the voting off though
  7. Nice pictures. It looks like a fun small park. If I'm ever in the area I'm going to try to stop there for a visit.
  8. It might have been the Great American Amusement Park book. I used to check it out from the library all the time when I was a kid. I checked it out a few months ago to read it again since I am older now (I only really used to look at the pictures when I was younger). It was an interesting read.
  9. It depends on the ride. I think with Batman and Robin The Chiller, there is a cable they use if Robin stalls between the Zero G Roll and the Cobra Roll.
  10. Sea Serpent (a boomerang) at Morey's Piers last summer. I was afraid of going on a coaster with inversions other than just a loop, but I figured I would try it because it was only a 2 train wait (no time to reconsider or be nervous thinking about it). It was rough, but I liked it and then trying the Great Nor'Easter the same day (SLC), didn't seem that scary because of it.
  11. Happy Tymes, in Warrington, PA has the standard outdoor themeing course with the stone type structures and waterfalls with one big difference. There are water obstacles, not just a pool of water in the middle of the green but the ball can fall into the water surrounding the holes. It's a very difficult course, especially considering it's in a family entertaniment center where the primary age group there is kids. In Margate, NJ, there is a mini golf course near the bay (not sure of exact name), and the setting is very strange because it's in between 2 houses on a plot of land with a small house on the property as well (it's almost like a backyard golf course). They also have 2 holes that have water obstacles but not just small pools that really aren't that difficult to get around. Another one is Tee Time Golf in Ocean City, NJ next to Gillian's Wonderland pier. It is different in that it seems to be one of the few traditional mini golf courses that are left, with giant obstacles such as a giraffe that you have to walk under to putt, or having the Flintstones in their car with their feet moving over the putting area. GACoaster has a picture of part of the course on his site: http://www.amusementpics.com/Wonderland.htm (last picture on page on bottom right corner).
  12. USA, Canada and the Bahamas States: PA, NJ, DE, MD, VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, IN, IL, OH, CT, MA, RI
  13. I would start out with the smaller coasters in the park (even a kiddie or family coaster) to try to gain courage and slowly work towards the bigger/full size coasters.
  14. Cool game, makes me wish the ride would have opened last weekend when I was at the park.
  15. I tried it at Time Out in Neshaminy Mall (PA). Fun game but I wish an arcade closer to me had it, which is impossible since practically EVERY arcade closed in my area.
  16. It's more water rides including I think a slide, a play area with one of those tipping buckets and something else.
  17. Sounds like it was a much better day at Hershey today than it was yesterday. Yesterday, Storm Runner had a full queue and a lot of rides not only had full queues, but lines went into the midway like the car rides. Tidal Force and Lightning Racer were open yesterday so it's strange they were closed today, maybe it has to do with LR breaking down yesterday (Red side got stuck on the lift and they had to evaucate the train).
  18. Dorney is my home park, and although I really like the park it's far from my favorite.
  19. A Jewish group is also going to be there as well for some Passover event. I heard it could be as many as 25,000 people from that group. If that's the case it could be very crowded.
  20. The only parks I have been to alone are some small seashore parks like Playland's Castaway Cove and Gillian's in Ocean City, NJ. I usually am only there for less than an hour (rarely any lines and there isn't that much to ride as they are both family parks). I have been considering getting a season pass to Dorney and going alone this season though since I know I want to get to parks a lot more this year then I ever have before and I really don't know anyone that likes going to parks as much (none of my friends like rollercoasters).
  21. I used to really be into DDR, 2 - 4 years ago but kind of lost interest because there hasn't been a new arcade mix in years (2002) and since every arcade seems to have upgraded to Extreme, I got bored of it. I still play a lot of the older mixes at home though like 3rd - 6th Mix.
  22. Call Sony, there is a chance they will fix it for free
  23. It was supposedly like that all over the park. I was reading about the employee issues on another site and someone said on the parachutes, supposedly an employee sent up a parachute with too many people in it and the employee didn't even realize it wasn't working right until a few minutes later (they were busy with another parachute). Some else claimed that on some of the coasters the workers didn't understand when they were told to re-check rows and some people said their restraints weren't even checked.
  24. Nice photos, the log flume water looked really blue. They have those same slides at Dutch Wonderland and although I like the black slide, I try to avoid it because you get absolutely soaked on that side.
  25. Hersheypark. Before the 90's all they had was the Comet, Sooperdooperlooper and Trailblazer for coasters. Those are all fun rides but they have added a lot in the last 15 years, Sidewinder, Wildcat, Great Bear, Wild Mouse, Lightning Racer, Rollersoaker and Storm Runner. Plus they added the whole Midway America area with some new flats in addition to the coasters like the Whip
