  1. The other parks for the most part have better operations than most SF parks and also don't have the Flashpass (except for Disney with Fastpass but that's free so I see it as being different). I just see this as one more way lines will be longer even if the impact is minimal because lines are usually worse to begin with.
  2. But why should someone have to pay extra in order to enjoy their day? I'm using my home SF park as Great Adventure as an example. I'm a non SP holder. Admission is $45.99 printing out a ticket online, parking is $15 so it's $61 just to get in to the park (no more free safari this year so that's another $10 as well if someone wants to go to the safari). Then because SF can't run their rides at close to full capacity (1 train on Rolling Thunder when it can run 4, 2 out of 4 trains on Kingda Ka etc), someone is forced to spend another $40 - $60. I know it can be argued that you aren't forced to get a Q-Bot but it seems neccessary. With Kingda Ka running 2 trains, I heard that 1 train was dedicated solely to flashpass users and on the non flash pass train, 2 rows were for the VIP program (similar to this new one but it was only for 4 hours in past years). That means someone without a flashpass is stuck waiting for a ride that is running less than 1 train for them.
  3. But that person having a better day is having a better day at the expense of those who don't have the Q-Bot for whatever reason.
  4. I have a problem with this at SF parks more than other parks because of Flashpass/Q-Bot. At CF parks or Hershey, they don't have a virtual queue system which slows down the lines at SF so the impact isn't as bad at other parks. Standby lines are already made a lot worse with Flashpass at SF parks and this will just add to standby lines.
  5. I hate those card systems at arcades. Everyone I have been to charges an odd amount of points for each game so you are stuck with leftover points that aren't enough for a game and they tend to be more expensive that regular arcades. Hopefully that won't be the case here
  6. The only issue I have with it is if it was the opposite and it was a guys only night, there would probably be a lot more complaining and it would probably be changed instantly. I also agree with an above post saying if it's a public pool and not a private club, they shouldn't have that type of rule.
  7. Nice to hear SF is keeping there word about running all trains on the coasters , they said the same thing last year and of course lied about that too.
  8. I really hope they keep their word about running multiple trains since they said the same thing last year and it didn't work out (1 train on RT most of the time?!)
  9. McDonald's isn't even that bad compared to other restaurants. You could get a double cheeseburger, small fries and a small diet soda and it's under 40 grams of fat. An individual sized deep dish cheese pizza at Uno's has 104 grams of fat! I don't eat fast food much anymore ( 1 - 2 times a month) because I am trying to lose weight but I don't want someone telling me what I can and cannot eat.
  10. I could see the Eurofighter being the Avatar coaster. Avatar is popular with people much older than Nick's target age range (I heard the show is targeted to 6 - 11 year olds)
  11. That slide complex looks great and realistic.
  12. I saw a Philadelphia Eagles set at Sam's Club on clearance. I just figured it was some beanbag toss game.
  13. Dorney Park. Before CF bought it had a lot of unique rides like Water Skooters, Journey To The Center of the Earth, The Rockets etc. and had a classic park feel to it. Then CF came in and tore out the classic rides, buildings and trees and put trash cans and concrete everywhere and tried to make it like a small Cedar Point. I do like the coaster additions since CF bought the park but wish they didn't have to destory the history of the park in the process.
  14. I haven't eaten at Taco Bell since the E. Coli outbreak. Looks like I won't be going back to Taco Bell anytime soon even though this was an isolated case.
  15. The video didn't show that many attractions. It looked like all they had was 4 regular slides, the play structure with a few smaller slides, a lazy river and a pool area. I'm sure it will be popular but it looks like they could use some more slides.
  16. How long until they install lap bars and/or seatbelts on the trams?
  17. Yeah Dorney uses it as well, I think for Dorney they say "Two Great Parks, One Low Price"
  18. Great park, I especially like the Yoshi snack area.
  19. I wish they upcharge ones had a longer cycle. The one at Dorney rarely has a line but I see people riding it (I guess just enough to run it without a line). They sometimes have buy 1 get 1 free days though. Maybe I'll try it this year.
  20. The water looks so blue in those pictures. Much nicer than the brown/green color the ocean is at the Jersey shore.
  21. I had a dream that I was at Morey's Piers but instead of the Great Nor'Easter, they had a clone of Silver Bullet but I couldn't ride it because it was stuck in the Cobra Roll.
  22. For Dorney, as long as you don't go on opening weekend, you shouldn't have to wait long. I went on a Tuesday in June to get the pass processed and waited about 3 minutes.
  23. WDW, the Jersey Shore is a close 2nd though
