  1. I got a Target Giftcard tonight. It was a nice surprise since the only thing I asked for is to go to Hersheypark next year for Springtime in the Park and said there was nothing else I really wanted. Hanukkah is probably my favorite holiday of the year since besides the gifts, I think it's one of the more relaxed holidays.
  2. I love the Dorney shot glasses at Knott's. I wonder if it was a shipment sent there by accident or done on purpose. When Dorney opens in May, I'll defiently be looking for stuff from other CF parks to see if they have any items.
  3. Congratulations on losing more weight. I didn't know caffeine can raise blood pressure. I drink about 1 can of soda a day but it's always diet coke or diet pepsi so I figured it wasn't that bad (other than the nutra sweet). Maybe I should drink caffeine free soda more often.
  4. On the DS I'm almost unlocked everything in Cooking Mama (It gets boring fast since the gameplay is very repetitive). I'm about halfway done the original set of scenarios in RCT 3, then I get to go through the ones for the Soaked expansion.
  5. And because of EA's refusing to support the DC. Had Madden been a launch game instead of NFL 2K (I prefer the 2K series to Madden), I think it would have really helped the DC. Too many people won't buy a system without EA's games and won't even give another sports game a chance, as shown by Madden 2005 still outselling NFL 2K5 on PS2 despite NFL 2K5 having a price tag 60% lower than Madden. I can't believe how well GBA is still selling. It's a good system but I would think most people would rather just get a DS at this point since it plays the GBA games as well.
  6. Nice, I really like the captions.
  7. My cell phone (in a zippered pocket of course). As someone also mentioned above, I also sometimes take a prize I win while at the park with me on a ride if it's small enough to fit in a pocket (since I don't trust leaving it in a bin) but that's not something that happens often.
  8. I'll be there that week. I expect it to be crowded but shorter waits compared to other attractions. I remember seeing on the attraction wait board 2 years ago during that week, Body Wars had a 45 minute wait (Test Track was 180 minutes and Mission Space was either 25 or 45 minutes)
  9. Could they be changing it to a Superman ride?
  10. Agreed. Dinoland feels like a carnival to me with carnival type rides (a generic coaster and generic flat) and those skill games just add to the whole carnival feel. I also agree about Mickey's Birthdayland/Starland/Toontown Fair (or whatever it is called now). The houses were fun to walk through once but it feels like it's not needed especially compared to what Toontown looks like in Disneyland (attractions worth seeing). Barnstormer is fun but not worth the usual long wait it has for a ride that is 20 seconds from the end of the lift hill to the brake run.
  11. I'm not eating Taco Bell for a while. I like the food but it's not worth taking a chance on getting sick. There's always Baja Fresh (though I find it a ripoff compared to Taco Bell even though the food is higher quality)
  12. Epcot is a huge park. It's almost like 2 parks in one with Future World and World Showcase. It is difficult to see everything in Epcot in 1 day, let alone go to another park the same day.
  13. Sea Serpent and Flitzer at Playland's Castaway Cove, Doo Woppper at Morey's
  14. That's a shame to see it being demolished like that. I really regret never trying the ride since I will never have a chance to now (just started to ride drop towers in September)
  15. Congrats
  16. I think Circuit City has the Platinum edition on sale for $19.99 this week. I wish I would have waited since I bought Gold for $19.99 from Best Buy a few weeks ago.
  17. I'm not surprised to see there is a High School Musical show now given it's popularity (my school district was one of 7 schools in the country to pilot it for their fall production and it sold out almost instantly which never happened in the history of the district), but I really think it looks out of place in Tomorrowland and should have been somewhere in MGM. That picture showed a huge crowd and I wonder how difficult it will be to walk through Tomorrowland while the show is going on especially at the end of the month when walking through the Magic Kingdom without a show like that in the middle of the area is difficult.
  18. Looks like there will be another DS game I have to get. I use to love playing Theme Park (and Disney's Coaster) before the days of RCT. I tried to install Theme Park on a newer computer a few years ago but it only ran so fast it was unplayable.
  19. Wonders of Life even looks to be in worse shape then it was when I was at Epcot 2 years ago. It seems like such a waste with so much of the pavillion broken or closed and it's very short operating time. I think it was the day before Christmas when I was there and even then there were less than a dozen people waiting for Body Wars.
  20. I agree with that. There is no good reason to not have a coaster running. Even Trailblazer which goes slow enough that I still think people would ride it or SDL which isn't too fast either. I understand not having Storm Runner open and all the coasters in Midway America since that part of the park is never open this time of year.
  21. Even with Walmart in my area, I go to Target a lot more than Walmart. The stores are dirty, they are ususally poorly organized (merchandise thrown all over), lines are long and prices aren't that great on some items like video games. I also don't like how Walmart has used predatory pricing where they lower prices to even take a loss just to get other local stores out of business and then they raise the prices once they are the only ones left.
  22. My first trip to Morey's was last year so I never got a chance to ride it but what I don't understand is, that since there are some upcharges already on that pier but it's not a regular pier with rides, why not just leave the ride where it is and get the ride open and include it with the wristband option for the other 3 piers and or admission with tickets like every other ride. I think people would be willing to talk to the pier just for that ride especially since if I remember correctly, it's between the pier with Great Nor'Easter and the pier with Sea Serpent so most people walk past the pier anyway
  23. I am really glad to hear that they are doing all that work to Laser. I really was convinced it would be leaving soon.
  24. That's what I am afraid of if it goes to Dorney. I feel like Laser is almost done anway since there seems like a good chance if not X-Flight then it will be the GCI in 2008 and the Laser area seems like the part of the park where it would go. I really would hate to see anything happen to Laser especially since it's portable to it could be re-located elsewhere in the park easily (though I don't see that happening).
  25. I think the Castle Escape game was not the best choice for the game. They could have used another game since I think there are more than 1 to choose from.
