I'm going to Disney World this Saturday and probably only going to one park. I really want to see the new lights on the castle- the ones that make it look like it's covered in ice. Does anybody know if these lights are exclusive for the "Very Merry Christmas Party" or they just turn on at night, every night? Thanks guys!

So I think that my family and I are going to Disney World on December 5 and leaving the next day: just a short trip. I once remember hearing that around that time, after Thanksgiving and before Christmas, the park wasn't that crowded and all the decorations for Christmas were put up. We usually go sometime during the five days before Christmas, when the crowds are INSANE. So are wait times and crowds noticeably smaller compared to my previous visits? Thanks!

More crowded than Christmas time?

So after my sister graduates from highschool, we're spending two nights in Disney World. However, I just found out that Gay Days takes place on the same weekend. I have no problem with gay people but I'm just wondering what it is like and how crowded it is. I've heard people say it's very vulgar, is this true?

I think this ride sounds awesome! The combination of the LED lights and audio system will make for a good time. Is there theming on the lift? Because it's enclosed, which makes me think there might be a movie type of thing. Does anyone know?

Does anyone have an explanation for the shadow effect not showing? Just curious...

There was, but it wasn't enough to see the Yeti clearly.

Yeah! The weird part was you could hear everything but couldn't see it. I felt like an idiot looking all around for the shadow!

So I recently returned from a four night vacation in Disney World, which was awesome! I went to Animal Kingdom very excited to ride Expedition Everest. I rode it and I do not think it was working properly. The projected video of the Yeti (tearing up the track) was not shown and the actual Yeti itself had no lights shined on it and was nearly unable to see. I rode it again just to make sure it wasn't just my ride but it happened again. Is this normal?

Hi! I'm going to Disney World tomorrow and was wondering what I should expect in terms of wait times. Also, if anybody has been recently, what was the wait for Expedition Everest? Thanks! John

Wow, I'm going to Disney the same exact dates. Pretty weird. Anyways, coming from a Floridian, weather down here is very strange. The past two times I've been to Disney in December, it's been freezing cold. Other times, it's cool in the mornings and then warmer. IMO MGM is the best park because of ToT and Rock-n-Roller Coaster. I'd also check out Animal Kingdom's Expedition Everest. It's really fun. Magic kingdom doesn't have intense thrill rides but has the three mountains: Thunder Mountain, Splash Mounatin, and Space mountain. All are very fun. Epcot is cool if your interested in the country pavillions and a couple thrill rides. They aslo have an AWESOME holiday display with tons of lights. Hope i helped! **Also, MGM has the Osbourne Family Christmas Lights, a huge amount of lights that cover a section of the park. I've never been but I've heard it's very cool**
