Everything at La Ronde, I was about 5 minutes away from the park last summer but the bad operations and not so great coaster collection (other than the 2 B&M's), kept me away. Also Roller Soaker because I'm not waiting 45 minutes or more for a short coaster that doesn't look that great. Also, any coaster that has a height restricton where you have to borrow a kid. I will ride kiddie coasters if I can but refuse to borrow a kid.

Scale Coaster trains! Griffon and Alpengeist

Those are awesome, I hope they are released for other parks soon. I would buy a Talon car set if that was a model released. -
Disney's Flying Saucers

^ Dorney has those type of bumper cars. I hate them because they are low capacity (10 - 11 cars out at once), they hurt your hands, the impact is minimal and they sometimes shut the ride down to refuel the cars. -
I just hope that the rumored removal of Canyon River Rapids doesn't happen for this new ride. With SF taking the family approach, it seems strange everyone else seems to be going in the opposite direction with removing family rides for coasters, with CP removing WWL for Maverick and now possibly this. If it is a 10 inversion coaster, I would hope it's a B&M sitdown or floorless rather than the Intamin 10 looper that is at Thorpe Park.

Those food prices are ridiculous. $6 for a Powerade and a small bag of candy is horrible especially since out of the park it would be $2 total (figure $1 for each at the Dollar Store). I understand charging a premium for in park pricing, 150% seems more than reasonable so $3.00 total for the Powerade and candy. If that was my home park, I would make sure to plan my trips around meal times so I could eat out of the park either before or after my visit

favorite ride or rides at dorneypark and why?
YoshiFan replied to a topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My 3 favorite rides are Talon, Thunder Creek Mountain and Dominator Blue (Turbo Drop). Thunder Creek Mountain is unlike any other log flume I have ridden with the very long but not steep drop and how it is terrain based. I like Laser but wish they would get rid of the assigned seating. -

SFOG's Goliath's New Terrible Locker Policy
YoshiFan replied to Ccron10's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
$5 an hour after the first 3 hours is ridiculous. It's bad enough it's $2 for a one time use locker but the $2 should cover the entire time you are using the locker since it is one time use. What happens if the line is 2 hours and you want to ride twice? After you ride, you have to open the locker, put another $2 in or you are going to be charged another $5 instead? And what happens on crowded days where the line could be over 3 hours (I'm sure those days are rare but do happen maybe on a Frightfest Saturday), then you have to pay $7 for the locker. -
http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/story?section=local&id=5500712 Sounds like Gillian's isn't talking. I guess they don't want bad press like with the Wild Wonder incident (the Zamperla Wild Mouse that killed 2 people and was sold to Magic Springs). On the news they showed someone being carried on a stretcher despite them saying it was minor injuries.

Clementon Lake and Trashcans of Terror
YoshiFan replied to Fredlv1's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I live less than an hour away from Clementon and I have little to no interest in visiting the park. It's expensive, doesn't have enough rides (I have looked at the website in the past) and now that Screamscape says J2 is closed indefinetly, I don't see any reason to go to the park. I went once in the late 80's/early 90's (I was around 7 or 8) and remember not liking the park. I had considered going when they had the $44.95 deal for 4 admissions after 5:00 p.m. but even that seemed overpriced. -

Laser also has an assigned seating policy. I know it's because they are portable coasters but considering both rides have been at their parks for 20+ years, I think both parks should have built a real station with gates so you can choose your row. It's annoying to have only 5 people in line for Laser and having to sit in the middle of the train while the last car is empty. -

Here's a closeup of the Sky Ships, they are fun but it's very slow loading and can be 30+ minutes easily. -

"Next stop, Atlantic City. A very dirty place and traffic was terrible." Agreed about it being dirty and the traffic, they are really trying to make the city nicer with more upscale shopping and restaurants but they have a long way to go. I don't even have the credits at Steel Pier and have spent a lot of my past 7 summers about 15 minutes away from there. I hope Python (the Pinfair looper at Playland) wasn't too rough. Last year it was brutal. -
You then have the issues of class trips though. In late May and early June towards the end of the school year, some parks (at least in my area) can get very crowded.

I went to Ontario Place in 1996 when it had free admission if you went to the CNE. The Nintendo area was awesome. It was a month before N64 was released and I was counting the days until the system was released and then they had the system out to try. Playing Mario 64 for the first time was amazing. I started talking to one of the workers there about how I had my system pre-ordered and that I was really looking forward to getting the system. She gave me a Donkey Kong Country promotional video and a N64 shirt for free.

I can't belive they have Steel Force's stats on that shirt. I can understand getting a coaster's stat from the same park accidently on the shirt but from a park that is owned by a different company? Should be interesting to see if any Steel Force shirts have El Toro's stats. -
If you were already on the coaster, I think they should have allowed you to ride but I guess the op didn't want to take a chance on getting in trouble. I never understood those maximum height limits unless you are riding with a kid. The ride is obviously safe for someone over the height limit to ride or they wouldn't let anyone over that height alone at all and I would think most people over the height limit wouldn't be interested in the coaster anyway so it wouldn't have an impact on lines.
