  1. They are tube slides. I think they used to be double tubes only but either in 2006 or last year they switched to single tubes only.
  2. Ikea is great. I love their food area. 50 cents for a hot dog or $3 for 2 hot dogs, a huge bag of chips (I think 5 servings so you have plenty to take home) and all you can drink soda. The only thing I don't like is that they are now charging for bags. I know their reasoning for it but some items that are difficult to carry really need to be put in a bag
  3. I hope the site turns out good since there are no sites for HP. There was Hersheyparkonline.com but it's basically dead (no more forums)
  4. At least you'll have a very short offseason (2 months)
  5. Maybe they wouldn't have such money problems if they would stop "giving away the gate" It's crazy that I bought my Great Adventure season pass for $59.99 when the gate price is $59.99. Other smaller SF parks had SP's under $39.99 (the 1 day sale). Season passes should be at least $75 for the smaller parks and $100 for the larger parks. I'm glad to pay the lower price but I know it's bad for SF
  6. "Not for sale?!? I wonder what the going market price for re-adds are." I remember seeing an auction posted a while ago, 8 of them went for around $240 total.
  7. The wait time idea is great. At all the WDW parks, the wait time boards are only close to the front of the park so it's a pain to check them especially if you are at the other end of the park from where the boards are located.
  8. Boardwalk At Hershey, it's way too small with not enough activities and slides which cause very long lines. Plus East Coast Waterworks is run horribly, with people lining up in the structure with no actual queue lines for the slides which causes congestion and tons of line cutting. On top of that, the rumors are they are going to remove the Canyon River Rapids, to add more Boardwalk attractions. They should have made a seperate waterpark, either seperate gate or away from the rides but included with admission like at Dorney Not quite as bad but Wiggles World at Great Adventure. The park already had 3 kids areas so a 4th wasn't needed even though it was mostly a retheme of part of Looney Tunes Seaport. We also lost the Arrow Hydroflume because of it. I would have rather seen them spend money on family rides (not kiddie stuff) such as an interactive dark ride.
  9. That happened to me in 2004, we saw that 1920's scene 3 times but they got the ride going again and we didn't have to evacuate
  10. What is it about water rides that make people act like this? To add to the ones posted
  11. Anyone who gets offended at those lines shouldn't be going on the ride. It IS a haunted mansion, stuff like that is to be expected.
  12. The Great Adventure site says the park opens in April and on GADV.com, they said it's April 5th. I was kind of hoping for a March opening as well since I figured it wouldn't take that long to wait in line to process it in March.
  13. Dorney: Get rid of the no re-ride policy Give Laser a proper station so they can get rid of assigned seating Hershey: Keep Canyon River Rapids and expand the Boardwalk elsewhere Great Adventure: Family rides (not kiddie!) such as antique cars, interactive dark ride etc. Lower food and drink prices, to a somewhat reasonable level Get rid of the no re-ride policy Add single rider lines to major coasters (at least the B&M's)
  14. I don't think Farenheit will get anywhere close to 850 an hour. I wish Hershey would stop adding low capacity rides like this. A full train has to dispatch once every minute just to get 720 an hour. Last October, Comet's line was just down the ramp and slightly into the 1st switchback and it was a 15 minute wait with 2 trains running. There is a sign at the entrance that says it's a 30 minute wait with a full queue (not counting overflow queues they add), which of course is a lot longer than 30 minutes.
  15. It has the lowest capacity of the 3 wooden coasters. The website lists it at 830 riders an hour but most of those are optimal capacity and seem to be inflated so it's probably around 700 an hour.
  16. Great pictures, my only trip to Boardwalk and Baseball was in 1989. I was only 7 and don't even remember seeing any of the coasters there (probably didn't pay attention to them), except for the Zamperla Dragon. The 16 story ferris wheel was amazing and I remember the museum area and the kiddie rides (they had a cool dune buggy ride). I wish it was still around as I'm sure I would enjoy it even more now.
  17. None, I hope to change that next year
  18. ^ I noticed the same thing at Dorney. While in line for Dominator, I heard some people trying to scare their friends telling them about the SFKK accident to the point one of them didn't want to go on and was upset. I explained to them that Dominator is made by a different company and the ride had it's cables inspected. One of them said it's still the same ride and it doesn't matter. I think they should re-locate the ride to a park that doesn't have a drop tower far away from SFKK (Great Adventure?) and people would be willing to ride.
  19. To get my missing credits at Great Adventure, KK, ET, Road Runner Railway and I guess Dark Knight if it's open by then To finally get to Knoebels and get the credits there
  20. Best - Liberty Tree Tavern in the Magic Kingdom Worst - Buger at SFGADV, it was cold and not fully cooked. That was about 10 years ago and since then I have not eaten at the park, not that the $6.49 slice of pizza, $9.99 hamburger and fries or $4.99 soft pretzel would convince me to eat there again anyway.
  21. Doubtful, the GBA is almost dead and Nintendo's focus seems to be on the DS now. I don't think there have been any new Player's Choice games released for the GBA in years. Even Mario Advance 4 is still $29.99
  22. Don't get it, it sucks. It's too late, it was already ordered when Frys has it for $14.99. If I end up not liking it, I'll just eBay it.
  23. That's how I feel, last December I sat in the last car and it was so rough that I had a headache at the end of the ride and actually was looking forward to the ride ending after the first few turns. It used to be one of my favorite coasters.
  24. Great photos, I have not been to IOA yet but I want to visit with those kind of waits. Looks like the perfect type of day for power riding
  25. Ridge Racer 7 for PS3 Madden 07 for PS3 (I want 07 and not 08 because 07 was $9.99 at Best Buy this past weekend) Sonic and the Secret Rings for Wii
