  1. That slide complex looks great and realistic.
  2. I saw a Philadelphia Eagles set at Sam's Club on clearance. I just figured it was some beanbag toss game.
  3. Dorney Park. Before CF bought it had a lot of unique rides like Water Skooters, Journey To The Center of the Earth, The Rockets etc. and had a classic park feel to it. Then CF came in and tore out the classic rides, buildings and trees and put trash cans and concrete everywhere and tried to make it like a small Cedar Point. I do like the coaster additions since CF bought the park but wish they didn't have to destory the history of the park in the process.
  4. I haven't eaten at Taco Bell since the E. Coli outbreak. Looks like I won't be going back to Taco Bell anytime soon even though this was an isolated case.
  5. The video didn't show that many attractions. It looked like all they had was 4 regular slides, the play structure with a few smaller slides, a lazy river and a pool area. I'm sure it will be popular but it looks like they could use some more slides.
  6. How long until they install lap bars and/or seatbelts on the trams?
  7. Yeah Dorney uses it as well, I think for Dorney they say "Two Great Parks, One Low Price"
  8. Great park, I especially like the Yoshi snack area.
  9. I wish they upcharge ones had a longer cycle. The one at Dorney rarely has a line but I see people riding it (I guess just enough to run it without a line). They sometimes have buy 1 get 1 free days though. Maybe I'll try it this year.
  10. The water looks so blue in those pictures. Much nicer than the brown/green color the ocean is at the Jersey shore.
  11. I had a dream that I was at Morey's Piers but instead of the Great Nor'Easter, they had a clone of Silver Bullet but I couldn't ride it because it was stuck in the Cobra Roll.
  12. For Dorney, as long as you don't go on opening weekend, you shouldn't have to wait long. I went on a Tuesday in June to get the pass processed and waited about 3 minutes.
  13. WDW, the Jersey Shore is a close 2nd though
  14. You'll definetly want to avoid Thunder Creek Mountain (the log flume) then. You get soaked on it and sometimes the log goes directly through a waterfall (it usually shuts off right before you get to it).
  15. Avoid a summer weekend and you won't deal with any lines on the amusement side (or minimal lines). I went to Dorney almost every week last season and never waited more than 15 minutes for any coaster except on a Sunday in August. There really isn't any order to follow but if you get there at opening, go to Wild Mouse first as it can have a long line because they have a rule of only 2 adults per car and have bad loading procedures (confusing to most people in line). The only coasters I would skip if you aren't into counting coasters and credits are Dragon Coaster and Woodstock's Express both kiddie coasters (Little Laser is 54" maximum). Everything else is worth riding once. For flats, I'd reccomend the Whip since it's a rare ride and a lot of fun. If you are into power riding you'll really enjoy the park since you can get tons of rides in on all the coasters, I usually average 6 rides an hour including walking through the park and through the empty queues (no re-rides allowed, no exceptions)
  16. Nice pictures, that night shot of Spaceship Earth is great.
  17. Eagles T-Shirt Cargo Shorts (yeah the wind chill is 16 degrees outside but my house is always hot so I change to jeans when going outside)
  18. Especially at parks that have a no more than 2 riders per seat rule (Dorney). You end up having groups of 3 that have to take 2 cars and with only 11 or 12 cars, it really doesn't allow that many people on the ride in 1 cycle.
  19. I don't know if they are still around but Rideworks Inc made a modern Whip for Hershey that was installed in 1997.
  20. And Kingda Ka especially at the end of the season. 2 trains running, 1 dedicated to Flashpass and I heard on the non Flashpass train, 2 rows of that train were reserved for people using the VIP program. So the ride was running at less than 1/4 capacity for non Flashpass and non VIP riders.
  21. Grand Theft Auto Vice City for PS2, I'm up to the final mission.
  22. The 2 main ones in my area are: Happy Tymes - An arcade, go karts, batting cages, a frog hopper, a space train, monster buckets (teacup ride), climbing wall and a bowling alley, mini golf. It's really for little kids as there are few video games and they are older games. Garden Golf And Go Karts - a small arcade, go karts, batting cages, mini golf I rarely go to either place except to Garden Golf and Go Karts to play Pump It Up once in a while.
  23. Poor Nickelodeon Studios Though the way it was running in at the end was bad with just the game lab and no looking at sets anymore (I guess becuase they stopped filming there?) I wonder what happened to the Slime Geyser.
  24. They are probably going to use the PS2 versions with the Cobalt Flux pad designed for use in schools and have multiple systems running at once. I think you could get 10 of those setups for a fraction of the price of a new Supernova machine (unless they bought a bootleg Extreme machine off of EBay)
  25. A place to take a wheelchair on a coaster? Even if it's a kiddie/family coaster it still seems strange they would allow that.
