  1. - Restraints on Magnum XL - Restraints on Skyrush - Replace the helix at the end of Gatekeeper with an airtime hill or heartline roll - Replace the lift hill at the end of Powder Keg with an overbanked turn into the final drop - Make the S&S Free Flyers flip more - Add at least one or two more hills to Beast - Add another inversion to the Superman flyer clones - Remove trim brakes on Wandering Steer to make it Raging Bull again - Extend Phoenix by another 3200 feet
  2. ^ Your best bet is something along Highway 7, east of 400, but it may cost ya Wonderland isn't the most accommodating park, unfortunately.
  3. I'm surprised that nobody has called out this one out on it's colour scheme. Excellent ride, but...
  4. 20s' - Jack Rabbit (Kennywood) 30's - 40's - Comet (Hershey) 50's - 60's - Thunderbolt (Kennywood) 70's - Beast 80's - Phoenix 90's - Ride of Steel 00's - El Toro 10's - Lightning Run
  5. I've been to Kings Dominion twice, but never got to ride Hypersonic XLC
  6. You just need to learn the trick to riding it. I use to HATE Magnum. . . But now that I have learned how to ride it. . . I LOVE it! I find it's a back row ride at best, as long as you clinch onto the lap bar during the bunny hops. All they have to do is to wrap some sort of padding around the lap bars and it would actually be an awesome coaster.
  7. Magnum XL-200. This ride is surviving on nostalgia alone. Even more painful than Skyrush.
  8. So this farmer was hitting the moonshine pretty hard one night. He storms into the bedroom to wake up his wife. In one arm he has the bottle of moonshine, and in the other arm he has a pig from the barn... Farmer: "this is the cow I bang when you're not around!" Farmer's wife: "you're drunk, that's a pig in your arm!" Farmer: "I wasn't talkin' to you!"
  9. 1. Line Jumpers - I'm talking about those larger groups who get together like once a year and as a result think they are entitled to do whatever the flying f_ck they want because... well... it's them of course!! They are the only people in the damn park, right?? 2. Bouncing basketballs. I think that parks ought to switch to soccer balls instead. That way when some punk teenager kicks it around and hits you, you can grab it and then punt it a hard as you can. At least then you could say you were just trying to kick it to his midfielders. 3. People running. Like, right towards me because they HAVE to get onto a ride three or four people faster. I recommend bracing for impact. That slows them down pretty quickly. 4. Any time you hear this painfully rehearsed announcement: "Attention to those waiting in line... we are CURRently experiencing a deLAAY (insert scripted words here) we do not know HOW long the delay will be (insert more scripted words here). I would love to hear this for a change: "Attention to those waiting in line: some inconsiderate a__hole was holding his $700 phone in his hand on a roller coaster and somehow dropped it. He then then decided to go jump the fence that stated "NO ENTRY" to retrieve it, until he got decapitated by the train. This was clearly the train's fault, so we will be running tests over the next 10-14 days to ensure that the ride is safe again. We thank you for your patience".

  14. I could not find this topic under 'search', so feel free to redirect if necessary. I don't always go on drop towers, but I find them to be an under-appreciated attraction based on line ups etc. Do you have a favourite drop tower you'd wait for? My favourite is King's Island's drop tower. That thing drops like a freakin' anvil! Any other opinions?
  15. Gatekeeper yesterday. I'll take a 15-minute-on-average wait for that before an hour wait for Raptor or a two hour wait for Valravn any day. Seems like a steal to me.
  16. The combo drop/shot is my favourite, 'Over Texas was a great one that I got to experience recently
  17. This one is tricky, as one may confuse "best" with "strongest/most intense/borderline painful" airtime. For "best", I'd say El Toro and Phoenix both have that "holy crap" or "whee" airtime, whereas Skyrush and Magnum XL have that "yeeeah-OWmylegs" kind of airtime. It's a shame, if only both Skyrush and Magnum were to do something with the lap bars, they'd easily make their way into the "best" airtime category in my book.
  18. I live 30 minutes from Wonderland. One time I drove to Silver Dollar City, which was a 16 hour drive. After that trip, 12 hours is now my limit.
  19. 1. Storm Runner 2. Xcelerator 3. Dragster 4. Kingda Ka 5. Krypton Other favourites with launches: 1. Maverick 2. Cheetah Hunt 3. Verbolten 4. Volcano 5. Wicked Twister
  20. All technical definitions of an inversion aside: If you were to compare two similar-looking "inversions", one clear difference is between a cutback and an inside tophat. When you really look at it, the cutback looks more like a steep overbanked turn. On an inside tophat, you're completely upside down. Just an example that perhaps making the inversion threshold 180 degrees would create less confusion.
  21. I just got back from SFGadv after a 3 year hiatus, and Bizarro was much better than I last remembered
