  1. Also Congratulations to the smoothest arrow coaster out there Vortex (CW) and Dragon Mountain (Marineland) would like a word with you, please. May I ask who is calling? One moment please... Loch Ness Monster is on line one sir.
  2. I consider Canada's Wonderland and Cedar Point both my home parks, so I'm having some fun and combining them: 1. Maverick 2. Dragster 3. Millennium Force 4. Behemoth 5. Leviathan 6. Valravn 7. Gatekeeper 8. Magnum 9. Raptor 10. Wicked Twister 11. Rougarou 12. Blue Streak 13. Gemini 14. Wild Beast 15. Vortex 16. Bat 17. Stunt Coaster 18. Dragon Fire 19. Corkscrew 20. Guardian 21. Cedar Creek Mine Ride 22. Thunder Run 23. Ghoster Coaster 24. Iron Dragon 25. Silver Streak 26. Fly 27. Mine Buster 28. Flight Deck 29. Time Warp Not ridden: - Taxi Jam - Jr. Gemini - Woodstock Express
  3. Canada's Wonderland: 1. Behemoth 2. Leviathan 3. Wild Beast 4. Vortex 5. The Bat * Skyrider 6. Stunt Coaster 7. Dragon Fire 8. Guardian 9. Thunder Run 10. Ghoster Coaster 11. Fly 12. Mine Buster 13. Flight Deck 14. Silver Streak 15. Time Warp Not Ridden: Taxi Jam
  4. B&M Batmans: all equal except Magic Mountain (rougher than the rest) Vekoma SLC: I avoid most like a plague, but Mind Eraser at Darien Lake was most tolerable Vekoma Flying Dutchman: Batwing at SF America Vekoma Boomerangs: Bat at Canada's Wonderland (train is from their Arrow Looper) Premier LIM: Joker's Jinx / Poltergeist (vs. Flight of Fear) Maurer XC2000: Laff Trakk at Hershey Reverchon Spinning: Exterminator at Kennywood (during Phantom Fright Nights) Zamperla Volare Flyer: any one that gets demolished before another
  5. Best: the long clickety clicking of Beast's chain lift Worst: Lightning Run's squeaky wheels
  6. It has no choice but to be 2017. After that, I'm done with adult-ish coasters until my (to be) kids reach 48-54 inches tall
  7. Too many people. I truly believe that parks would be far less annoying if everybody would simply stay at home. That's not asking for too much is it?
  8. Let's put a Vekoma SLC in a park that already has a B&M Batman Invert! Or, we could but a Vekoma Giant Inverted Boomerang RIGHT BESIDE a regular Vekoma Boomerang! Oh, wait...
  9. Edward Scissorhands (sorry, no pic)
  10. Rides Made Correctly
  11. - New York - Massachusetts - Connecticut - New Jersey - Maryland - Virginia - West Virginia - North Carolina - South Carolina - Tennessee - Florida - Texas - California - Missouri - Illinois - Michigan - Indiana - Kentucky - Ohio - Pennsylvania
  12. Marineland is worth a visit as it won't take you an entire day. While I like Dragon Mountain, I think that the drop tower is the best ride in the park, and one of the best drop towers I've been on period. Drop/shot combo. Plus lots of animal friends to make Last time I went they only had Beluga whales in terms of marine life, but it was a pleasant experience. If you're doing Wonderland at this time of year, definitely check out the Haunt. Hit the coasters during the day first if you can. Good luck!
  13. 1. Bizarro & Wicked Cyclone 2. Maverick & Dragster 3. El Toro & Kingda Ka 4. Fury & Intimidator 5. Millennium Force & Valravn (yes, CP makes two appearances!)
  14. Back to the topic, I would love to see Dragon Mountain at Marineland get a "phantom" conversion. Classic Arrow looper with a great terrain-style setting with tons of height to extend the first drop and plenty of length to add some airtime hills
  15. Kennywood next month for my wife's birthday
  16. My (realistic) updated list: - Twisted Colossus - Full Throttle (seriously, what is with this "autocorrect"... three years later?) - Lightning Rod - Storm Chaser - Mystic Timbers - Gale Force These are likely the last new rides I will enjoy before I have babies running around everywhere
  17. #DUMB #UNDERSTATEMENT #LIE #FIXED #DUMB ...and not just because you don't know the difference between "there" and "their" Maybe I shouldn't have started this thread. If anybody would like to lock or merge it, go for it.
  18. ^^^ I am happy to hear your thoughts, thank you! I just like keeping track of what I ride is all. In the end, what matters most to me is going to parks I like and riding coasters I like. I visited Texas for the first time this past spring... not to gain a bunch of credits, but because I wanted to ride New Texas Giant and Iron Rattler. Now they are two of my favourites. That is the kind of thing I remember from a trip. Ride for fun
  19. Hi all, With all the "credit whoring" out there, I had a thought today: based on the largely accepted definition of roller coaster "credits", people who have been on 8 Vekoma boomerangs, 7 B&M Batmans, and 5 Zamperla Wild Mice can say that they have been on 20 roller coasters. Technically, yes, it's 20 coasters. But essentially, how true is this? With this theory, how many different coasters have you been on?
  20. My vote goes to the B&M hyper V-trains. Not a bad view anywhere, and the whip you get in the back car down the first drop are definitely highlights.
  21. I've been on all of the top 10 fastest coasters in North America, plus 9 of the next 10
  22. In no particular order: - Bizarro (SFNE) - El Toro - I-305 - Lightning Run - Maverick - New Texas Giant - Phantom's Revenge - Storm Runner - Wicked Cyclone - X2
  23. My Two Cents Top 50 Wood: With the exception of El Toro as low as 3rd and Beast as high as 6th, this list is actually not that outlandish. I cannot comment on the so-implied shafting of T-Express or Wildfire because I have not been on either, but common sense tells me they deserved way more votes. Top 50 Steel: I'll start with that I DO agree with... - Phantom's Revenge back in the Top 10 - Maverick jumping 10 spots - Goliath dropping 10 spots Now here's how some of the rest of the steel "awards" should have looked like: Inconsistency Award: - Intimidator 8th, Diamondback 9th, Behemoth... 24th? (I've been on all three, not THAT much difference folks) Nostalgia Award: - MagnumXL finishes ahead of NTaG, and I305... and Wicked Cyclone... and Dragster...... Diplomatic Immunity Award: - Nitro and Apollo's Chariot make the Top 10. AGAIN. Size Shouldn't Matter Award: - Lightning Run finishes 44th Harold Houdini Memorial Award: - Skyrush, SheiKra, Griffon, Xcelerator, Storm Runner, and Ride of Steel just disappeared?? That Awkward Moment Award: - Europa Park wins best park with Cedar Point as the event host
  24. Based on some of the posts I've seen recently: Maverick: "Forceless" Banshee: "Headache machine" The Raven: "One of the roughest coasters" El Toro: needs a "better ending" I305: "Underwhelming" ...I'll just find somewhere else to post
