  1. I highly doubt the park is removing Vortex. They are simply removing a section of track temporarily for easier access to a certain area, I assume. I've never been, but from what I've heard, it's one of the most popular rides in the park.
  2. Thanks for posting the pictures! I was wondering how this coaster was coming along with all the attention on the other RMCs.
  3. Wow! Maybe I missed something, but I was not expecting a green support structure! Looks good.
  4. Man, I must have had several good rides on it then. I love that coaster. Sit in the back seat, keep the lap bar a little loose, and because of the lack of seat belts, you get totally thrown over every hill. There’s even a couple great double downs in the layout that are excellent in the back seat. And for its age, it’s incredibly smooth as well.
  5. I saw that photo on Instagram! Looks great. I can’t wait for trains to arrive and testing to start!
  6. As much as I love the GhostRider renovation, I really hope they aren’t Millennium Flyers. The best part of Roller Coaster was the lack of seatbelts and the super loose PTC lap bars, allowing for awesome airtime. I’d really hate to see new trains that keep you stapled in your seat. I’m glad it’s getting some love, but if the new trains take away all the airtime, I think it will definitely get knocked down a couple rankings for best ride in the park, IMO. Currently, it’s my second favorite behind Cannibal.
  7. The first half is better in the back car, and the second half is better in the front. It’s really 50/50 for me... I like both.
  8. Expedition Everest at WDW Animal Kingdom!
  9. Scream at Six Flags Magic Mountain on January 3rd.
  10. That’s really cool! I sometimes forget how old that ride is. Already over 20 years!
  11. Looks good. I remember hearing reports that Ferrari Land desperately needed some “rounding out,” so this is a great move by the park.
  12. I actually enjoy Desperado quite a bit. Granted, I haven’t ridden it in 3 or 4 years, but I remember it having an awesome first drop and semi-decent airtime. I remember always preferring Magnum every time I got off, though. With that being said, I still haven’t ridden Big Apple Coaster even though I’ve driven through Vegas countless times, mostly because I’m reluctant to pay $15+ to get myself beaten up. I can’t believe they’re putting VR on this thing. I was hoping that craze had ended...
  13. I had no idea you could do that! That will help a lot when searching for topics. Awesome!
  14. and its the first result that shows up. I do this too. Using Google is much more efficient for finding old threads than the search function here, for me. Not sure why.
  15. Yep! I can’t believe track work is finished, and it’s only mid-January. This thing is definitely opening in time for the Boysenberry Festival. I imagine the trains will be arriving really soon!
  16. I’m about done with my second week of school this semester, and I’m actually staying on top of things and not procrastinating.........yet. And it feels good! But we’ll see how long it lasts.
  17. The amazing “Hallelujah” cover by Pentatonix. Man I wish I could sing like those guys!
  18. X2 at Six Flags Magic Mountain!
  19. Love the colors! It’s nice to see another Dive Coaster get built, but I am disappointed it’s going to have the vest restraints. Those really kill Valravn for me...
  20. I actually think the seats and restraints on Premier’s 2nd gen trains are quite comfortable, they are just very crammed... especially when getting in and out. I could definitely see why taller people have an issue. But sitting in the seat during the ride is perfectly comfortable, for me.
  21. You’re probably right. Like I said, mine was just a guess. However, one positive thing I noticed is that they seem to be launching both sides together as of recently. Not a perfect race, but typically when one launches, the next one comes a few seconds later.
  22. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Complaints about unnecessary restraints aside, I can't wait to see the front of the train. SeaWorld always does an awesome job with awesome front car designs (i.e. both Mantas, Cheetah Hunt, Mako...), so this shouldn't be an exception. Actually, as OTSs go, those look pretty comfortable. And I see no shin bar, so that's a plus. I've only been on SkyRockets with the lap bar, so I'm curious to see how this will compare. There is a shin bar. Well, it’s more like a “pad” than a bar, just like every other Premier 2nd-gen train. Look closely. I actually think they’re very soft and comfortable (at least on Full Throttle), but then again, I’m not very tall. The “comfort collars” also looks quite comfortable. And these Premier coasters are so smooth and well-designed, I bet you won’t even notice they’re there. Can’t wait to ride!
