Fury and I305 would like a word with you And it's even funnier because the one giga he stated is literally the only one considered largely overrated by a big chunk of the community lol I'd love to see an El Toro in the park (or on the west coast for that matter), but I just can't see SFMM 1) spending that type of money and 2) committing to maintaining another wooden coaster. I think a T-Rex is actually quite plausible though.

Walibi Holland Discussion Threadthrillseeker4552 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! Awesome news. It’s nice to see RMC Hybrids finally go international in 2019 with the one in Japan and now Holland. I wonder what else they have up their sleeve!

I know I've never really been involved in this thread, but I just thought I'd pop in and say I finally came out (gay) to my parents tonight, and I feel SO good. They were so supportive and amazing, and I'm so grateful since I know now everybody had the same experience.

I’ve said this before, but my opinion of Scream has changed a bit in the last few months. I have always truly believed it ran on octagonal wheels, but since both trains have been refurbished and repainted, I’ve had several consistently good rides on it in October, December, and January. It’s still one of the rougher B&Ms out there, but I don’t think it’s nearly as bad now as it was a couple years ago. Viper is still better.

	1. What is the best park visit you had in 2017? My day at Kings Dominion was darn close to perfect. Perfect weather, short lines, all rides open, good food. Loved it. 2. Have you ever traveled to a park with a specific ride in mind only for it to be closed all day? When I first went to SFGAdv in 2016, Batman was closed. Luckily we spent three days there, and it opened by the third day. 3. GCI or Gravity Group? Pick one. Haven’t ridden a Gravity Group yet, so GCI. 4. How many different parks did you visit in 2017? 8. Knott’s, SFMM, SWSD, Lagoon, CP, KI, KD, Carowinds. 5. How many times did you visit your home park in 2017? I lost count but roughly 8-10 times. 6. What was the first RMC you rode? Twisted Colossus. 7. Best view from the top of a lift? Either Millennium Force or Valravn. 8. What new-for-2018 roller coaster are you most anticipating? Pick one. HangTime because my home park is finally getting a thrilling roller coaster! I’m excited for Railblazer and Electric Eel too. 9. RMC or Intamin? You can only choose one. Hard choice, but Intamin. They have a little more variety in their lineup. 10. What was your favorite new-to-you ride of 2017? Fury 325! 11. Money is no object. You can travel to any park in the world right now by snapping your fingers. Where are you going? Probably Europa Park. 12. Have you ever made out with someone in a queue line? No, lol. I think excessive PDA in queue lines is a huge turn off. 13. What is the last coaster that changed your top 10? Intimidator 305! 14. Disney or Universal? Disney, by far. 15. When is the last time you witnessed someone puke at a park? I didn’t actually witness them puking (luckily), but they had to send an empty train around twice because of puke on Riddler’s Revenge. 16. How many new credits did you pick up in 2017? If you don't count, take your best guess... About 30. 17. You're at Magic Mountain. You have a one hour ERT session on ONE coaster of your choice. You choose... Twisted Colossus, duh! 18. Name a coaster or ride that you passionately dislike. Any B&M Stand-Up excluding Riddler’s Revenge. Like most others, I also hate SLCs and most Boomerangs. 19. What is the most amount of money you've spent on a Fast Pass? Around $100 for one at SFMM way back. 20. Skyscreamers or Windseekers? Sky Screamers! 21. What is your most recent B&M credit? Valravn. 22. Best adult beverage at a theme park? (under 21: whats your favorite beverage you can only get at a park?) Knott’s Boysenberry Punch! 23. Most irritating coaster nickname/abbreviation? None really bother me. 24. Butterbeer or Dole Whip? Dole Whip! 25. Favorite steel coaster *under* 100 feet? Is Maverick under 100 feet? If so, than that. If not, then Wicked Cyclone? If both of those are over 100 feet, I don’t know lol. 26. What's the best bathroom at your home park? They’re all about equal at Knott’s. They’re all bad at SFMM. 27. Nighttime ERT on Lightning Rod or all-you-can-eat Cinnamon Bread? You can only choose one. Nighttime ERT on Lightning Rod, although I’ve heard so many good things about the cinnamon bread. 28. If it were in your power, what coaster would you relocate to Knoebels? An Intamin Mega-Lite! 29. What is the last thing you remember eating in a theme park? The wings place at SFMM near Full Throttle. 30. Your favorite coaster got equipped with on board audio x Spotify. What's your hype track? Let Me Go by Hailee Steinfeld. It’s a cool song, I guess. 31. Name the most disappointing ride you took in 2017. Mystic Timbers didn’t blow me away like some people have described, but I wouldn’t necessarily call it a disappointment. Vortex at Carowinds sucked way more than I was expecting. 32. Airtime hill or Zero G Roll? If it’s a stretched out, weak zero-g roll, than an airtime hill. If it’s a snappy zero-g on a B&M Invert, then that. 33. What is your favorite coaster/ride built before 1970? I love Roller Coaster at Lagoon! 34. What's worse - splashed by malaria lake flume water or dripped on by chain lift grease? Chain lift grease. 35. Name an Intamin coaster on your bucketlist! Formula Rossa! 36. You just won a 3 day trip with hotel and airfare included. The catch is you have to choose between Disneyworld or Cedar Point. Which do you choose and why? Cedar Point. Sorry, I’m just more of a coaster person. And, you know, Steel Vengeance. 37. Floater or Ejector? I like both. Long sustained floater air is awesome, but so it sustained ejector like on El Toro or Skyrush. I can’t decide! 38. What was your worst park experience of 2017? I didn’t have one, luckily. 39. Name your favorite coaster under 41 feet tall. Lol, I can’t even name a non-kiddie coaster under 41 feet tall. No answer. 40. End your post with an aerial shot of one of your top 5 coasters. Will come back and edit this post with a picture. Gotta head to class lol.

Photos of Defunct Ridesthrillseeker4552 replied to Le Serpent Mascara's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! ^Dang, that photo of Windseeker really made me miss it. I don't miss PP or Boomerang, but Windseeker... I love Sol Spin (when, you know, it actually operates), but Windseeker was so much fun and provided great views.

I had forgotten about the 48” height requirement. That is great for the park because currently, the only thrilling ride in the entire park with that requirement is GhostRider. Also, completely random, but has anyone else given some thought about the holding brake and how it could be really...awkward? I mean, the ride has lap bars (with no shin guards too), and you’re at a 60-degree angle. That’s really steep. For reference, Boomerang was only at 45 degrees, and even with OTSRs, it felt way steeper than that. And going up Sierra Sidewinder’s lift backwards with those little lap bars is pretty freaky, and it’s not even a steep lift hill. Not really sure if it’s going to be super uncomfortable or extremely terrifying, or both. Just something that crossed my mind.

Carowinds Discussion Threadthrillseeker4552 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! Love the new colors, the new name is not bad, but the trains still suck. So, yay, I guess!

Yes, I saw that on Instagram. I am still not completely sure how pouches like that could speed up operations, since most people have bags and cups, which still must be set in the cubbies. Most people will small enough items to fit in that pouch (like phones, wallets, and keys) typically ride with them in their pockets. I hope I’m proved wrong, because of course I’d love to see the trains race more often!

Does anyone else feel that most roller coaster/theme park merch is just really ugly? Like, if it were just a simple logo on a t-shirt, I would totally buy it (despite being way overpriced), but it always seems like they are way too extra about it... I don’t know, maybe the GP like stuff like that so I wouldn’t know, but one of the reasons I hardly own any theme park shirts is because they always try way too hard, IMO... at least for major chain parks. Lagoon has some nice Cannibal shirts.
