  1. the sahara desert would be impressed with how dry the ribs were, the corn was so hard it almost cracked my tooth, and the mac n' cheese wasn't even mac n' cheese, it was legitamentally cheesed noodles (that had probably come out of a microwave) Strange. I have eaten there at least 20 times now and I've never had a bad experience. I love everything I've tried so far... tri-tip, pulled pork, baked beans, potatoes, mac & cheese, corn bread, corn, all of it. You're entitled to your opinion, so I guess we'll agree to disagree. Lol
  2. ^^That is AWESOME! Wow! That must have taken so much time. Thanks for sharing!
  3. I am wondering the same thing. Did we ever receive actual confirmation that this was happening?
  4. I'm curious as to why you don't like the Boardwalk BBQ food. It is by far my favorite place to eat in the park and is probably in my top 3 for theme park food in general.
  5. Lagoon has great operations, but I think part of the reason is due to the lack of redundant safety belts on almost every ride (the only one that has them is the Bat, I think).
  6. According to ParksBros on Instagram, Xcelerator has been testing today. Keep an eye on the webcams. Here is a very high quality shot for your pleasure.
  7. Man that wave turn looks sick! Loving the color as well.
  8. Great report! Everything about this ride looks incredible. Coaster nerd question: do the lap bars lower automatically? I know they don’t on Manta at SWSD, but I ask because in almost every photo of people in the train, they have their hands up. I just thought that was interesting. Thanks for sharing!
  9. Wow! That’s great to hear. I’m going to keep my eye on the webcams today for testing. With it being closed for almost 8 months, I imagine it has to make many test runs before opening back up.
  10. Revolution at Six Flags Magic Mountain on Thursday the 8th.
  11. For anyone who has ridden Time Traveler and/or waited in line, how is the capacity on this thing? The trains only hold 16 people, but I believe I saw a separate unload area? Or am I mistaken? Just curious.
  12. And they just have to use the word “dangling”... Sigh.
  13. I’ve never been a huge fan of Taylor Swift’s music, especially her new stuff, but “Delicate” is actually really good, and I’ve been listening to it on repeat!
  14. Thanks for the update! I’m so thrilled that Xcelerator is finally having the cable / catch car installed. I have a feeling it’s going to finally open soon. Not much longer for HangTime either. Exciting stuff!
  15. I’ve heard that Knott’s may open both at the same time, but who really knows.
  16. Man, this thing looks incredible. One of these days I need to finally bite the bullet and travel to Silver Dollar City. With this and Outlaw Run in the same park, plus Powder Keg and Wildfire, it is high on my priority list of parks to visit. Awesome video too! Wow! Amazing quality.
  17. Great update! Will all the trains still be different colors? Or will they all be red/orange now that it’s themed to the Incredibles? I’m actually a big fan of Pixar Pier/Incredicoaster. California Screamin’ was really looking tired when I visited back in May.
  18. I don't know the specifics but I would be really surprised if Lagoon opted for seat belts. Are they required on Millennium Flyers? Fire Dragon, Wicked and Cannibal make do with only lap bars so I'd think Roller Coaster can too. There are a few GCIs without seatbelts. I know InvadR, Wicker Man, and Wodan (among others) don’t have them. I agree and doubt the Lagoon will, but the Millennium Flyer lap bars hold you in much tighter and “staple” more than the current PTC trains do. That’s what I was getting at.
  19. When I’m at school, Lagoon is my home park, and it is definitely one of my favorites. The mix of classic coasters, new hotness, charm, and friendly employees sets it above many others in my opinion.
  20. Even though that seems low, compared to most other coasters in the park, that’s actually not half bad. Thanks for doing the math!
  21. Very interesting. Those PTCs were in rough shape, but I loved the airtime the lack of seatbelts gave in the back car. I wonder if these are full-length 12-car Millennium Flyers or shorter versions like InvadR or White Lightning. I’m very curious to see how this works out...
  22. I am just glad people are actually working on the ride now. All of my visits in December and January plus last week had the train parked in the station with almost nobody in sight.
  23. I’m hoping everything works out for Playland and S&S on this ride. It really is unique and very attractive for small parks looking for a thrilling coaster in a small footprint.
  24. Wow! This thing is hauling a$$. It seems like the back car will be the “magic seat” on these rides.
  25. Thanks for more information. Maybe I'll wait and go the following weekend instead. I just figured Easter Sunday would have lighter crowds than usual.
