As with nearly every other GCI, this looks fantastic. How good is it compared to Twister at Gröna? White Lightning reminds me of it a lot. -
Kumba backwards. Gold Striker backwards or Apocalypse (SFMM) backwards?

Liseberg Discussion Thread

Is that really what the station building is going to look like? It looks like the Hulk station and the Guggenheim art museum had a kinky love child. I love it. -
I prefer my language rooted in Latin, so "This". Mac or Linux?

Then a whole new breed of terror would begin. Then Michael Bay would have to make a movie off of it. What if Transformers 2 didn't have Megan Fox in it?

No, never been on it. Although I really want to. Are you using a Mac?

Game: Careful What You Wish For

Granted, but now you're back in Pre-school. I wish I never failed pre-school. -
No, I've never even been on an Intamin Hyper for that matter. Have you ever been on a Eurofighter?

Standard SF fare, it wasn't anything I wasn't expecting from a new "Hardcore" ride. Looks halfway decent in my opinion, and I'm probably going to get a shot glass to add to my collection. I'mma put it next to my Tatsu one. I'm still trying to decide whether or not the coaster in those first two photos is a Intamin Hyper mixed with a Premier Spaghetti Bowl or not.

Whelp, that's the third time The Walking Dead Game has made me cry. Fun.

^So it's basically official that a tracked ride is going in? I haven't been able to lurk this thread, so what are people saying about this new ride? -
Most Painful Roller Coaster
Randomman295 replied to alwaysairtime14's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Probably Viper at SFMM back when my ears were at the same level as the OTSRs. Or my first ride on Ghostrider back when I didn't realise what "defensive riding" meant. -
Maybe I'm just weird, but I think the pain actually adds a positive experience to the ride. The jolt you get from the reminder that you're at the mercy of the engineers is what gives a wooden coaster its thrill for me. Same goes for Ghostrider's post-MCBR backseat ejector. ^And also, Apocalypse's first drop in the backseat is pretty powerful in my opinion.

Tallest coaster you've been on.

Alton Towers Discussion Thread

Facial recognition could totally work for adjusting lighting or a ride's soundtrack, or something similar like that. The problem is that it would probably be really difficult with riders' heads shuffling all around. Friction isn't something you can simply adjust in the middle of the ride. I'm pretty sure that the coefficient of friction is basically set when they put the wheels on the train. Forgetting about the trims and the possible variation in lift hill speeds, are we now? It's unrealistic and it has nothing to do with "friction", but it could happen. -

Probably the interlocking Batwing and Cobra Roll. If they never advertised for a "world's first element", the "world's first" is the 14 inversions. -

So, what's the list look like? I know Leviathan and Millennium Force both did it, but what are the other three?
